Objective: Little is known about the prescription pattern of psychotropic drugs for patients with schizophrenia in Pakistan. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the characteristic features of psychotropic drug prescriptions for patients with schizophrenia in Pakistan. Methods: Three centers in Pakistan participated in a large scale collaborative study known as Research on Asian Prescription Pattern (REAP). The 2016 REAP survey included centers from 15 countries in Asia and used a unified research protocol. The design of the study was quantitative and of descriptive epidemiology. Analysis was made on the data collected from three centers i.e., Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. The data collected in Pakistan were compared with those from other Asian countries. The details of REAP were presented on the homepage of REAP (http://***). Results: From Pakistan, 298 patients were included. Patients with schizophrenia in Pakistan received higher rate of antipsychotic polypharmacy and a higher rate of co-prescription of mood stabilizers and anxiolytics when compared with participants from other South Asian countries (India and Bangladesh). Conclusion: The main findings of the study were that a majority of the patients were prescribed antipsychotic polypharmacy drugs in Pakistan. Insufficient training on the use of psychotropic drugs and a lack of treatment guideline are considered to be the major contributing factors. Further education and training on the proper use of psychotropic drugs are recommended to psychiatrists in Pakistan. The guidelines on pharmacotherapy for patients with schizophrenia should also be developed and promoted in Pakistan.

Aggregation-induced emission and thermally activated delayed fluorescence of 2,6-diaminobenzophenones

Exploration of novel organic luminophores that exhibit thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF) in the aggregated state is very crucial for advance of delayed luminescence-based applications such as time-gated bio-sensing and temperature *** report herein that synthesis, photophysical properties, molecular and crystal structures, and theoretical calculations of 2,6-bis(diarylamino)benzophenones. Absorption spectra in solution and calculations using density functional theory(DFT) method revealed that the optical excitation took place through intramolecular charge-transfer from one diarylamino moiety to an aroyl group. While the benzophenones did not luminesce in solution, the solids of the benzophenones emitted green light with moderate-to-good quantum yields. Thus, the benzophenones exhibit aggregation-induced emission. Based on the lifetime measurement, the green emission of the solids was found to include TADF. The emergence of the TADF is supported by the small energy gap between the excited singlet and triplet states, which was estimated by time-dependent DFT calculations. Thin films of poly(methyl methacrylate) doped by the benzophenones also showed green prompt and delayed fluorescence whose lifetimes were in the order of microseconds. Linear correlation between logarithm value of TADF lifetime and temperature was observed with the benzophenone in powder, suggesting that the benzophenones can serve as molecular thermometers workable under aqueous conditions.

Resourceability on nuclear fuel cycle by transmutation approach

A resourceability on nuclear fuel cycle by transmutation of fission products in the spent fuel of nuclear reactors is discussed in this paper to investigate the feasibility of ＂creation and utilization＂ of Apr6s ORIENT from Adv.-ORIENT cycle, in which chemical ＂separation and utilization＂ of nuclear rare metals （platinum group metals, Mo, Tc, rare earth, etc.） has been proposed since FY2006. Apr6s ORIENT research program was newly initiated in FY2011 for nuclear transmutation of fission products into stable or short-lived highly-valuable elements. In the resourceability of rare earth metals from fission products, non-radioactive Nd and Dy can be created from Pr and Tb, respectively, by transmutation. Especially, the Dy creation has relatively high feasibility of about 10-20 %/y in creation rate. A proper moderation of neutrons in blanket of fast reactors may be required to provide a high creation rate of La from Ba. In light platinum group metals, non-radioactive Ru can be created from Tc by transmutation, of which creation rate is about 4-5 %/y in blanket of fast reactors. Pd created from Rh is almost non-radioactively depending on the isotope fraction of 107pd. Rh creation from Ru is not feasible under the neutron irradiation of typical nuclear reactors.

Photophysical properties of heteroaromatic ring-fused(di)benzosiloles

Benzosiloles fused to heterocycles such as thiophene, benzothiophene, and benzofuran, and indole- and benzosilole-fused dibenzosiloles were prepared by palladium-catalyzed intramolecular coupling of the corresponding 2-（arylsilyl）aryl triflates in good to high yields. Molecular and crystal structures of 5,7-dihydro-5,5,7,7-tetrakis（1-methylethyl）bis[1]benzosilolo-[2,3-b：3＇, 2＇-d]thiophene, 6-methyl-12,12-diisopropyl-12H-indololo[3,2-b][1]silafluorene, and 5,5,11,11-tetraisopropyl-5,11H-benzosilolo[3,2-c]silafluorene were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The UV absorption spectra of the （di）benzosilole derivafives in cyclohexane red-shifted when compared to 1,1-diisopropyldibenzosilole, indicating that replacing a benzene ring of dibenzosilole by the heterocycles as well as fusion of indole and benzosilole moieties onto dibenzosilole narrowed the HOMO- LUMO gaps of the n-conjugation system. The thiophene-fused benzosiloles were faintly fluorescent in solution and in the solid state, whereas the dibenzosiloles exhibited luminescence with moderate and high quantum yields in cyclohexane and in microcrystals, respectively. In other words, aggregation-induced emission was observed for the dibenzosiloles. Notably, 5,5,11,1 1- tetraisopropyl-5,11H-benzosilolo[3,2-c]silafluorene in microcrystals exhibited violet fluorescence （λmax = 396 nm） with a quantum yield of 0.70. Density functional theory （DFT） calculations of the prepared （di）benzosiloles were also performed.

Numerical analysis on element creation by nuclear transmutation of fission products

A burnup calculation was performed to analyze the Apr`es ORIENT process, which aims to create highlyvaluable elements from fission products separated from spent nuclear fuels. The basic idea is to use nuclear transmutation induced by a neutron capture reaction followed by a β-decay, thus changing the atomic number Z of a target element in fission products by 1 unit. LWR(PWR) and FBR(MONJU) were considered as the transmutation devices. High rates of creation were obtained in some cases of platinum group metals(44Ru by FBR,46 Pd by LWR) and rare earth(64Gd by LWR,66 Dy by FBR). Therefore, systems based on LWR and FBR have their own advantages depending on target elements. Furthermore, it was found that creation rates of even Z(= Z + 1) elements from odd Z ones were higher than the opposite cases. This creation rate of an element was interpreted in terms of "average 1-group neutron capture cross section of the corresponding target element σc Z defined in this work. General trends of the creation rate of an even(odd) Z element from the corresponding odd(even) Z one were found to be proportional to the 0.78th(0.63th) power of σc Z, however with noticeable dispersion. The difference in the powers in the above analysis was explained by the difference in the number of stable isotopes caused by the even-odd effect of Z.

Plate and plume tectonics:Numerical simulation and seismic tomography

About three decades after the establishment of the plate tec- tonics theory in the late 1960s, Maruyama （1994） proposed the ＂plume tectonics＂ theory based on whole-mantle seismic tomogra- phy image （Fukao, 1992; Fukao et al., 1994）. According to this the- ory, the earth＇s interior is divided into three regimes： the earth＇s surface region governed by lateral motions of tectonic plates, the mantle governed by vertical motions of ＂superplumes＂（i.e., large- scale mantle upwelling/downwelling plumes）, and the core, whose convection style is probably controlled by superplumes in the mantle. With the rapid progress in earth science after the birth of the plume tectonics theory, it is now widely accepted that various geological phenomena observed in the earth＇s surface are closely linked to the fluid motion in the deep mantle （e.g., Davies, 2011）.

Diagonal reflection symmetries and universal four-zero texture

In this paper,we consider a set of new symmetries in the SM:diagonal reflection symmetries Rm_(u,v)^(*),R=m_(u,v),m_(d,e)^(*)=mde with R=diag(-1,1,1).These generalized CP symmetries predict the Majorana phases to beα_(2.3)/2-0π/*** of diagonal reflection symmetries implies a broken chiral U(1)po symmetry only for the first *** axion scale is suggested to be(θ_(u,d))~△GuT√m_(u,dm_(c,s))/v-10^(12)[GeV].By combining the symmetries with the four-zero texture,the mass eigenvalues and mixing matrices of quarks and leptons are reproduced *** scheme predicts the normal hierarchy,the Dirac phase ocp≈203°,and|ml|≈2.5 or 6.2[meV].In this scheme,the type-I seesaw mechanism and a given neutrino Yukawa matrix Y_(y)completely determine the structure of the right-handed neutrino mass M_(R).A u-y unification predicts the mass eigenvalues to be(M_(RI),M_(R2),M_(R3))=(O(10^(5)).O(10^(9)),O(10^(14))[Gev].

Dynamic robust optimal reorder point with uncertain lead time and changeable demand distribution

In fixed order quantity systems,uncertainty in lead time is expressed as a set of scenarios with occurrence probabilities,and the mean and variance in demand distribution are supposed to be changeable according to a known pattern.A new concept of "dynamic robust optimal reorder point" is proposed in this paper and its value is calculated as a "robust optimal reorder point function with respect to reorder time".Two approaches were employed in determining the dynamic optimal reorder *** first is a shortage rate satisfaction approach and the second is a backorder cost minimization *** former aims at finding the minimum value of reorder point at each reorder time which satisfies the condition that the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of shortage rate under a given set of scenarios in lead time is greater than or equal to a basic CDF of shortage rate predetermined by a *** the latter approach,the CDF of closeness of reorder point is defined at each reorder time to express how close to the optimal reorder points under the set of scenarios,and the dynamic optimal reorder point is defined according to stochastic *** numerical examples demonstrate the features of these dynamic robust optimal reorder points.

A sulfur–microporous carbon composite positive electrode for lithium/sulfur and silicon/sulfur rechargeble batteries

Sulfur is an advantageous material as a promising next-generation positive electrode material for high-energy lithium batteries due to a high theoretical capacity of 1672 m A h g 1although its discharge potential is somewhat modest:ca.2 V vs Li/***,a sulfur positive electrode has some crucial problems for practical use,which are mainly attributed to the dissolution of its intermediate products in charge–discharge *** order to resolve the dissolution problem of lithium polysulfide,we attempted to synthesize a sulfur–microporous activated carbon(AC) composite positive ***,we have systematically researched the battery performance of sulfur–microporous AC positive electrode with variations of electrolytes as well as negative electrodes,and found its promising positive electrode performance for a nextgeneration rechargeable battery.
