Simultaneous processes such as parallel turningor milling offer great opportunities for more efficientmanufacturing because of their higher material removalrates. To maximize their advantages, chatter suppressiontechnologies for simultaneous processes must be devel-oped. In this study, we constructed an automatic chattersuppression system with optimal pitch control for shared-surface parallel turning with rigid tools and a flexibleworkpiece, integrating in-process chatter monitoring basedon the cutting force estimation. The pitch angle betweentwo tools is tuned adaptively in a position control system inaccordance with the chatter frequency at a certain spindlespeed, in a similar manner as the design methodology forvariable-pitch cutters. The cutting force is estimatedwithout using an additional external sensor by employing amulti-encoder-based disturbance observer. In addition, thechatter frequency is measured during the process by per-forming a low-computational-load spectrum analysis at acertain frequency range, which makes it possible to cal-culate the power spectrum density in the control system ofthe machine tool. Thus, the constructed system for automatic chatter suppression does not require any addi-tional equipment.

Niche Differentiation of Phenol-Degrading Microorganisms in UASB Granular Sludge as Revealed by Fluorescence in situ Hybridization

Case-based reasoning （CBR） is an important reasoning technique of expert system. In this paper, the authors introduce CBR to intelligent early-warning support system, which could warn quantitatively for enterprise financial crisis and could warn qualitatively by expert＇s knowledge and experience. Furthermore, genetic algorithm is applied to case-based reasoning in CBR-IEWSS, which improves accuracy and efficiency of case retrieval. Last, the structure of CBR-IEWSS is given.

This paper deals with the output improvement of heating and cooling cycle by using the work-fluid including phase change *** experimental study is carried out by heat exchange between work-fluid and heat transfer *** work-fluid is flown to a high temperature or a low temperature heat transfer surface from the narrow *** order to increase the amount of the heat transmission,a trace of Diethylether(boiling point 34.8 ℃),as a phase change material(PCM),is added to the *** parameters of the experiment are additive amount of PCM,the rotational speed of the displacer piston and the temperature of heat transfer *** is clarified that the increasing of engine cycle output is brought by the PCM *** effect of PCM addition is evaluated by output ratio which is defined from the experimental cycle output *** requirements for acquiring the increasing effect of output by adding PCM are clarified.

Nasogastric tube syndrome induced by an indwelling long intestinal tube

The nasogastric tube(NGT) has become a frequently used device to alleviate gastrointestinal symptoms. Nasogastric tube syndrome(NTS) is an uncommon but potentially life-threatening complication of an indwelling NGT. NTS is characterized by acute upper airway obstruction due to bilateral vocal cord paralysis. We report a case of a 76-year-old man with NTS, induced by an indwelling long intestinal tube. He was admitted to our hospital for treatment of sigmoid colon cancer. He underwent sigmoidectomy to release a bowel obstruction, and had a long intestinal tube inserted to decompress the intestinal tract. He presented acute dyspnea following prolonged intestinal intubation, and bronchoscopy showed bilateral vocal cord paralysis. The NGT was removed immediately, and tracheotomy was performed. The patient was finally discharged in a fully recovered state. NTS be considered in patients complaining of acute upper airway obstruction, not only with a NGT inserted but also with a long intestinal tube.

Thermochemical Nonequilibrium 2D Modeling of Nitrogen Inductively Coupled Plasma Flow

Two-dimensional（2D） numerical simulations of thermochemical nonequilibrium inductively coupled plasma（ICP） flows inside a 10-kW inductively coupled plasma wind tunnel（ICPWT） were carried out with nitrogen as the working *** axisymmetric NavierStokes（N-S） equations coupled with magnetic vector potential equations were solved.A fourtemperature model including an improved electron-vibration relaxation time was used to model the internal energy exchange between electron and heavy *** third-order accuracy electron transport properties（3rd AETP） were applied to the simulations.A hybrid chemical kinetic model was adopted to model the chemical nonequilibrium *** flow characteristics such as thermal nonequilibrium,inductive discharge,effects of Lorentz force were made clear through the present *** was clarified that the thermal nonequilibrium model played an important role in properly predicting the temperature *** prediction accuracy can be improved by applying the 3rd AETP to the simulation for this ICPWT.

High resolution deep imaging of a bright radio quiet QSO at z～3

We have obtained deep J and Ks-band images centered on a bright radio quiet QSO UM 402 （Zem = 2.856） using the IRCS camera and adaptive optics systems that are part of the Subaru Telescope, as well as retrieved WFC3/F140W archive images of this object. A faint galaxy （ink = 23.32 ±0.05 in the Vega magnitude system） that lies ～2.4″north of the QSO sightline has been clearly resolved in all three deep high resolution datasets, and appears as an irregular galaxy with two close components in the Ks-band images （separation ～ 0.31″）. Given the small impact parameter （b = 19.6 kpc, at Zlls = 2.531）, as well as the red color of （J - Ks）vega ～1.6, it might be a candidate galaxy giving rise to the Lyman Limit system absorption at Zabs = 2.531 seen in the QSO spectrum. After carefully subtracting the point spread function from the QSO images, the host galaxy of this bright radio quiet QSO at z ～ 3 was marginally revealed. We placed a lower limit on the host component of mk～ 23.3 according to our analyses.

Outer space grown semi-insulating GaAs and its applications

GaAs single crystal has been grown in recoverable satellite. Hall measurements indicate that the GaAs shows semi-insulating behavior. The structural properties of the crystal have been improved obviously, and their uniformity has been improved as well. The stoichiometry and its distribution in space-grown GaAs are improved greatly compared with the GaAs single crystal gmwn terrestrially. The properties of integrated circuits made by direct ion-implantation on space-grown GaAs are better than ihose made on gmund-gnmm materials. These results show that the stoichiometry in semi-insulating GaAs seriously affects the properties of related devices.

Comparison of He/icobacter py/ori infection and gastric mucosal histological features of gastric ulcer patients with chronic gastritis patients

AIM: To compare Helicobacter pyloriinfection and gastric mucosal histological features of gastric ulcer patients with chronic gastritis patients in different age groups and from different biopsy ***: The biopsy specimens were taken from the antrum, corpus and upper angulus of gastric ulcer and chronic gastritis patients. Giemsa staining, improved Toluidine-blue staining and H pylori-specific antibody immune staining were performed as appropriate for the histological diagnosis of H pylori infection. Hematoxylineosin staining was used for the histological diagnosis of activity of H pylori infection, mucosal inflammation,glandular atrophy and intestinal metaplasia and scored into four grades according to the Updated Sydney ***: Total rate of H pylori infection, mucosal inflammation, activity of H pylori infection, glandular atrophy and intestinal metaplasia in 3 839 gastric ulcer patients (78.5%, 97.4%, 82.1%, 61.1% and 64.2%,respectively) were significantly higher than those in 4 102chronic gastritis patients (55.0%, 90.3%, 56.2%, 36.8%,and 37.0%, respectively, P＜0.05). The rate of H pylori colonization of chronic gastritis in ＜30 years, 31-40 years,41-50 years, 51-60 years, 61-70 years and ＞70 years age groups in antrum was 33.3%, 41.7%, 53.6%, 57.3%,50.7%, 43.5%, respectively; in corpus, it was 32.6%,41.9%, 53.8%, 60.2%, 58.0%, 54.8%, respectively; in angulus, it was 32.4%, 42.1%, 51.6%, 54.5%, 49.7%,43.5%, respectively. The rate of Hpyloricolonization of gastric ulcer in ＜30 years, 31-40 years, 41-50 years,51-60 years, 61-70 years and ＞70 years age groups in antrum was 60.5%, 79.9%, 80.9%, 66.8%, 59.6%, 45.6%,respectively; in corpus, it was 59.7%, 79.6%, 83.6%,80.1%, 70.6%, 59.1%, respectively; in angulus, it was61.3%, 77.8%, 75.3%, 68.8%, 59.7%, 45.8%,respectively. The rate of H pylori colonization at antrum was similar to corpus and angulus in patients, below50 years, with chronic gastritis and in patients, below40 years, with gastric ulcer.
