Corporations need to improve business processes in order to enhance velocity and service levels while reducing their processing costs and differentiating themselves in the face of competition. The levitation of importance beyond support roles has raised IT investment decisions to high priority in chief executive officers＇ agendas. Corporate planning groups as well as lines of business are increasingly applying techniques of IT applications portfolio management in a more systematic fashion to improve decision-making and resource-allocation processes. Recent advances in software engineering and IT service delivery methodologies have achieved the logical separation of business functions from implementation. This separation has made a new breed of innovative IT project possible with a new project risk structure; the adjustment of portfolio management techniques is appropriate. We present an integrated portfolio management model so that the corporation can focus on organic growth through sources at both the department and top management levels. The research gives clear advice as to how top management can seek economic growth by selecting an entrepreneurial strategic posture, implying a strong risk-taking propensity. By integrating a risk-return model and risk-tolerance paradigm to cope with today＇s risk structure, overall capabilities can improve the decision process and the corporation＇s performance as well. The application of the integrated technique to a Japanese manufacturing firm is described.

Japan lacked resources is a large import country and also a large consuming *** it is turned society structure system of consumption goods stocked in domestic,which leads to 450 millions ton waste ***,because of continuing development of intermediate handling and recycled utilization technology,finally disposed waste materials approximately 30 millions *** quantity of concrete product is consumed 300 millions ton per year unprecedented,beau case of large scope,it is expected valid and large absorption industry of recycled material. The purpose of this paper is to do a report on applied present status and future assignment of recycled material and building structure in Japan.

Penetration analysis of elements and bioleaching treatment of spent refractory for recycling

Acidithiobacillusferrooxidans ATCC23270 and Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans TM-32 were used for bioleaching of spent refractories of aluminium and copper melting furnaces for their recycling. Firstly, penetration of elements into ahiminium melting furnace refractory was investigated and it was found that up to 7 cm from surface was contaminated. Comparison on leaching efficiency by the strains ATCC23270 and TM-32 found that the strain ATCC23270 could treat larger amount of the refractories than the strain TM-32 could do. In the experiment of bioleaching of spent refractory alumiulum melting furnace by the strain ATCC23270, high leaching efficiency were obtained on A1, Si, and Ca, and extremely low leaching performance was, however, shown on the rest of elements i.e., Na, Mn, and Zn. Under the strain TM-32 use, relatively high leaching performance was recognized on A1, Si, Ca, Na, Mn, and Zn. In the experiment of bioleaching for spent refractory copper melting furnace, almost the same leaching trends were shown on Cu, Zn, A1, and Si under the strains ACTT23270 and TM-32 uses.

A 62-year-old man with progressive thickening of the gallbladder wall visited our outpatient clinic. The biliary amylase level in the common bile duct was 19900 IU/L and that of the gallbladder was 127000 IU/L, although endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography revealed no pancreaticobiliary maljunction. Histology demonstrated a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the gallbladder. Pancreatobiliary reflux and associated gallbladder carcinoma were confirmed in the present case, in the absence of a pancreaticobiliary maljunction. Earlier detection of the pancreatobiliary reflux and progressive thickening of the gallbladder wall might have led to an earlier resection of the gallbladder and improved this patient＇s poor prognosis.

A new Dicroglossid species is described from Mawphlang,Meghalaya,northeastern India. The new species differs from all the congeners occurring in this region in body size and call characteristics. It is larger than Fejervarya syhadrensis and F. nepalensis,but smaller than F. teraiensis. It overlaps F. pierrei in snout-vent length,but clearly differs from it in advertisement call,with much shorter note duration,much longer inter note interval,and much lower dominant frequency. Paucity of genetic information and underestimation of species diversity in this region are discussed.

Clarifying the role of sulfate and dissolved oxygen (DO) in methane production may allow for precise and accurate modeling of methane emissions in eutrophic *** conducted field observations of sulfate,methane,and DO concentrations in Lake Abashiri,a typical brackish and eutrophic lake in a cold region,to develop a DO-based method for quantitively estimating methane production in a eutrophic lake and analyzed the *** found that sulfate concentrations decreased rapidly from 900.0 mg/L in water overlying the sediments to nearly 0.0 mg/L in the bottom *** production was almost uniform across sediment depths of 0.05 to 0.25 m,ranging from 1400 to 1800μmol/m^(2)/***,methane production was found to be a function of DO concentrations in water overlying the bottom and could be modeled by a logistic function:constant production at 1,400μmol/m^(2)/day for DO concentrations of 0.0 to 3.0 mg/L,rapidly decreasing to 0μmol/m^(2)/day for DO concentrations of 3.0 to 6.0 mg/*** methane model was verified using a simple one-dimensional numerical model that showed good agreement with field *** results thus suggest that the proposed methane model reduces uncertainty in estimating methane production in a eutrophic lake.

Fatty liver, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, is closely associated with metabolic syndrome (MS). Thus, the presence of fatty liver without MS in some conditions may be clinically important. Many studies have shown that compared with no or occasional alcohol intake, moderate alcohol consumption is associated with lower prevalence rates of hypertension and type 2 diabetes, and lower levels of circulating C-reactive protein, a valuable marker for MS and insulin resistance. Considering these findings, light to moderate alcohol consumption has theoretical benefits on fatty liver and MS. Fatty liver, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, may be more clinically important than MS, particularly in non-obese individuals, because fatty liver can develop before MS in several conditions, such as regular alcohol consumers. Furthermore, most of the currently used MS criteria are unable to detect "true MS" because of variations in multiple factors such as age, height, medications, and complications.

AIM： To investigate the usefulness of secretin injection- MRCP for the diagnosis of mild chronic pancreatitis.METHODS： Sixteen patients having mild chronic pancreatitis according to the Cambridge classification and 12 control subjects with no abnormal findings on the pancreatogram were examined for the diagnostic accuracy of secretin injection-MRCP regarding abnormal branch pancreatic ducts associated with mild chronic pancreatitis （Cambridge Classification）, using endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography （ERCP） for comparison.RESULTS： The sensitivity and specificity for abnormal branch pancreatic ducts determined by two reviewers were respectively 55%-63% and 75%-83% in the head, 57%-64% and 82%-83% in the body, and 44%-44% and 72%-76% in the tail of the pancreas. The sensitivity and specificity for mild chronic pancreatitis were 56%-63% and 92%-92%, respectively. Interobserver agreement （K statistics） concerning the diagnosis of an abnormal branch pancreatic duct and of mild chronic pancreatitis was good to excellent.CONCLUSION： Secretin injection-MRCP might be useful for the diagnosis of mild chronic pancreatitis.

Hypertriglyceridemia is positively correlated with the development of colorectal tubular adenoma in Japanese men

AIM： To determine the real association between serum lipid levels and colonic polyp formation. METHODS： We performed a large scale retrospective study to analyze the correlation between the incidence of colorectal adenoma or carcinoma and the fasting serum levels of total cholesterol （TC） and triglycerides （TG） in patients who underwent total colonoscopy for screening for colon cancer. RESULTS： Both levels were significantly elevated in patients with adenomas as compared with patients without any neoplastic lesion （TC 207.6 ± 29.5 vs 199.5 ±34.3, n= 4883, p〈 0.001; TG 135.0 ± 82.2 vs 108.7± 71.5, n= 4874, p〈 0.001）. The difference was significant in patients with tubular adenoma but not in those with villous or serrated adenoma. Multiple logistic regression analysis including age and sex revealed that TG was an independent correlation factor in male （p〈0.01）, but not in female patients. The level of TG in patients with invasive carcinoma did not show a significant elevation from that in patients with adenoma. These findings suggest that hypertriglyceridemia is an independent risk factor for colonic adenoma in men. CONCLUSION： Although a high level of serum triglyceride does not appear to be mechanically involved in the development of carcinoma, reduction of serum TG and intensive surveillance with total colonoscopy may have benefit in men with hypertriglyceridemia.
