In the present study, （Fe,Cr）3Al/20 vol% A1203 nanocomposite was prepared through mechanochemical reactions during ball milling and successfully bulked using a combination of cold isostatic press and sintering at 1400℃ for 1 h. Two processing approaches were utilized to produce （Fe,Cr）3A1/A1203 nanocomposite： The first was milling of Fe, Cr, AI and Fe203, while the second one was milling of Fe, Cr, Al and Cr203, both in stoichiometric condition, to synthesize （Fe,Cr）3Al/20 vol% Al2O3. Structural changes of powder particles during mechanical alloying were studied by X-ray diffraction. The microstructure and the morphology of powder particles and bulk samples were also studied by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Microstructural analysis showed that mechanochemical reactions took place during milling, and nanometric Al2O3 was uniformly distributed in the matrix. The results also showed that the second approach required a considerably higher milling time to produce （Fe,Cr）3Al/Al2O3 nanocomposite, as compared to the first one. For this reason, bulk samples were produced from the synthesized nanocomposite in the first approach. The microstructure of the sintered samples consisted of a network structure of （Fe,Cr）3Al and Al2O3 phases with superior mechanical properties.

The water quality of many karst formations in southern Zagros macrotectonical unit is related to natural geological and hydrogeological conditions and ground water mismanagement. Evaporatic sediments inciuding: gypsum, anhydrite, salt, marl, and marly limestone are existed in some formations such as: Kazhdomi, Pabdeh-Gurpi, Gachsaran, Mishan and Agha Jari formations. This situation makes the covering layers of the karst formations changing the water quality by rainfall and runoff infiltration The most important factors that strikingly differ the water quality are the distribution of innumerable salt domes (180 diapirs between 6-200 km^2) and the out gassing of oil reservoir and geothermal effects in the karst cerranes of southern Zagros range.

Giant cell tumor (GCT) of the bone is a benign but locally aggressive & destructive lesion. This tumor is usually seen in patients over 20 years of age. Less than 2% are found in part with open epiphysis. The epiphyseal portion of the bone is characteristic site of giant cell tumor. In rare instances, giant cell tumor can occur in the diaphysis of long tubular bone without involving the epiphysis. Although age, clinical and radiological features are helpful, it is still the histology that helps to clinch the diagnosis. It is important to distinguish giant cell tumor of diaphysis from the giant cell rich lesions, more common in this site.

A two-phase hollow-fiber (HF) liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) method followed by gas chromatography was developed for quantification of 8 major polybrominated diphenyl ethers at trace level in sewage sludge. In this method the porous polypropylene hollow fibers filled with a few microliters of organic solvent, were immersed in aqueous samples of wet sludge which were spiked with the PBDEs at ng/l level. Parameters such as salt concentration, stirring speed, extraction time and pH were optimized and the optimum extraction conditions were then applied to the determination of PBDEs in sewage sludge from K?llby sewage treatment plant in Lund. The optimized method allowed detection of 5.1 μg kg–1 and 0.43 μg kg–1 of BDE-47 and 183, respectively, in dried sludge. The findings were compatible with the results from recent research on PBDEs level in sewage sludge samples from Sweden. Although BDE-209 was expected to have the highest level, it was not detected. Limit of detection, photodegradation or/and biodegradation of BDE-209 during treatment or experiment are major reasons. Low organic solvent consumption, low sample volume requirement, high preconcentration factor, simplicity without using expensive instrument for extraction and excellent sample clean-up are some important factors that make this sample preparation technique very useful for determination of PBDEs in sludge.

The friction force opposing the onset of motion of a drop on a solid surface is typically considered to be a material property for a fixed drop volume on a given ***,here we show that even for a fixed drop volume,the static friction force can be tuned by over 30%by preshaping the *** static friction usually exceeds the kinetic friction that the drop experiences when moving in a steady *** forces converge when the drop is prestretched in the direction of motion or when the drop shows low contact angle *** contrast to static friction,kinetic friction is independent of preshaping the drop,that is,the drop *** friction forces reflect the material properties.

Clear evidence exists for genetic susceptibility to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Genome-wide association studies have identified multiple candidate susceptibility loci. These loci suggest that genetic variation in the immune system may underpin HCC susceptibility. Genes for the antigen processing and presentation pathway have been observed to be significantly enriched across studies and the pathway is identified directly through genome-wide studies of variation using pathway methods. Detailed analysis of the pathway indicates both variation in the antigen presenting loci and in the antigen processing are different in cases in controls. Pathway analysis at the transcriptional level also shows difference between normal liver and liver in individuals with HCC. Assessing differences in the pathway may prove important in improving immune therapy for HCC and in identifying responders for immune checkpoint therapy.

The aim of the study was to determine the rela-tionship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and accelerated dental development. The dental developmental ages of 100 children aged between 8 and 12 years were determined using the Demirjian method and panoramic radiographs. BMI status was determined for each subject on the basis of the system developed by the International Obesity Task Force. There was a significant direct relationship between dental development and BMI (P < 0.01). Obese children have a higher rate of dental development compared to normal children. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: This is an important variable to be considered when planning for dental and orthodontic treatments in obese children. Brief objectives statement: Overweight or obesity can accelerate dental development. Accelerated dental development in overweight children is important to be considered in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics.
