Deletion of Salmonella enterica serovar typhimurium sipC gene

Objective:To construct a novel plasmid as Salmonella enterica serovar typhimurium(***)sip C gene knockouts ***:In this research,50upstream and 30downstream regions of *** sip C gene and kanamycin gene were PCR *** of these DNA fragment was cloned into p GEM T-easy *** construct was confirmed by PCR and restriction ***:PCR amplified 320,206 and 835 bp DNA fragments were subcloned into p ET-32 vector resulting with a plasmid called p ET-32-sip C up-kan-sip C ***:The new plasmid(p ET-32-sip C up-kan-sip C down)is useful for genetic engineering and for future manipulation of *** sip C gene.

Transport Properties of Superfluid Dipolar Fermi Gas at Low Temperatures

Transport coefficients of superfluid dipolar Fermi gas are calculated by using the Boltzmann equation approach. The interaction between Bogoliubov-Bogoliubov quasiparticles in the collision integral is considered in binary process. The shear viscosities nxz↑ = nyy↑,nxy↑;nxz↑ ≈ nyz↑;and nu↑ are proportional to T-6;T-8;and T-10 , respectively. Also, we have found the elements of the diffusive thermal conductivities Kxx↑= Kyy↑ with temperature dependency T-5 and Ku↑ which is proportional to T-7 and other components which are zero.

Patient Safety Attitudes, Skills, Knowledge and Barriers Related to Reporting Medical Errors by Nursing Students

Introduction: Health care system structure is prone to human error. Medical errors are one of the major challenges that health systems in all countries are grappling with to minimize and reduce the damage caused by them. The aim of this study was to assess the Patient Safety Attitudes, Skills, Knowledge and Barriers Related to Reporting Medical Errors by Nursing Students in Ilam, Iran. Methods: A cross-sectional mixed method was conducted to this study. Sampling was conducted by census of all students entering nursing criteria in Ilam in 2016. A number of 140 students participated in this study. The tool used in this study was created by Schnall et al. that measures knowledge, attitudes and skills related to medical errors reporting. Data were analyzed with t test, regression and correlation coefficients and descriptive statistical methods. Results: The results showed that nursing students had a positive attitude with respect to the reporting of medical errors (p = 0.01). They also have the low knowledge to medical errors and reporting them. There were significant differences in all groups and subgroups of knowledge, attitude, and skills (except creating of safety culture subgroup) between the two group’s students. Moreover, the main reason for not reporting was the lack of knowledge and fear of punishment. Conclusions: The results of this study help those who involve in the health care system to improve patient safety and improve the process of reporting medical errors by nursing students’ participation in the process of reporting error, while improving knowledge and attitudes through nursing education with the effective educational models. As a result, there is a need to educate students on reporting systems.

The Survey of Self-Regulation Behaviors and Related Factors in Elderly with Hypertension in South-East of Iran

Hypertension is one of the most important risk factors for heart diseases today. The effect of hypertension in the elderly is higher than other age groups and it may lead to changes in their quality of life. By the increase of age, the amount of self-care behaviors of patients with hypertension decreased. Therefore, control and self-care behaviors are so important. This study has been conducted to study self-regulation behaviors and Associated Factors in elderly patients with hypertension. This study was a cross sectional, descriptive analytic study, which was conducted using multistage sampling on the elderly 60 years and above with hypertension. The sample size was calculated 365 and the final sample size of 380 people was considered by possible losses. The instruments include of demographic and self-regulatory behaviors questionnaire. The results showed that self-regulation of behavior was 42.3% of the total score. In terms of quality, only 7.4% of the elderly had good behavior, 46.6% of poor performance, and the rest were mediocre performance. Age (p = 0.03), gender (p = 0.02), education (p = 0.001), income level (p = 0.03) and marital status (p = 0.001) significantly associated with behaviors of self-regulation. The results generally indicate unfavorable self-regulation of elderly patients with hypertension. Some variables such as gender, age, marital status, education and income levels were associated with these behaviors. So paying attention to the education of the elderly in care centers is essential.
