Objective:This study aimed to determine the predictive ability of instructors’online caring behaviors,online learning burnout,and satisfaction with online learning on nursing students’academic ***:This was a cross-sectional study employing the administration of online self-repor t measures among 606 undergraduate students in one large nursing school in the *** analysis involved the use of descriptive statistics,Pearson’s r,and linear ***:The mean scores in the instructors’online caring behaviors scale,online learning burnout scale,online learning satisfaction scale,and self-repor ted academic performance were 3.88±0.70,4.00±0.84,2.51±0.96,and 3.25±0.79 ***(β=0.216,P=0.000),burnout(β=0.-098,P=0.019),and instructors’caring behaviors(β=0.096,P=0.030)explained 11.7%of the variability in the students’academic ***:Instructors’caring behavior and levels of burnout and satisfaction are linked to students’academic success in the vir tual learning *** study calls for nursing instructors to be mindful of signs of burnout,employ proactive measures that promote satisfactory learning,and foster more caring behaviors in this time of global health crisis.

Formation of the periodontium begins following onset of tooth-root formation in a coordinated manner after birth. Dental follicle progenitor cells are thought to form the cementum, alveolar bone and Sharpey＇s fibers of the periodontal ligament （PDL）. However, little is known about the regulatory morphogens that control differentiation and function of these progenitor cells, as well as the progenitor cells involved in crown and root formation. We investigated the role of bone morphogenetic protein-2 （Bmp2） in these processes by the conditional removal of the Bmp2 gene using the Sp7-Cre-EGFP mouse model. Sp7-Cre-EGFP first becomes active at E18 in the first molar, with robust Cre activity at postnatal day 0 （PO）, followed by Cre activity in the second molar, which occurs after P0. There is robust Cre activity in the periodontium and third molars by 2 weeks of age. When the Bmp2gene is removed from Sp7＋（Osterix＋） cells, major defects are noted in root, cellular cementum and periodontium formation. First, there are major cell autonomous defects in root-odontoblast terminal differentiation. Second, there are major alterations in formation of the PDLs and cellular cementum, correlated with decreased nuclear factor IC （Nfic）, periostin and α-SMA＋ cells. Third, there is a failure to produce vascular endothelial growth factor A （VEGF-A） in the periodontium and the pulp leading to decreased formation of the microvascular and associated candidate stem cells in the Bmp2-cKOsp7-cre＇EGFe. Fourth, ameloblast function and enamel formation are indirectly altered in the Bmp2-cKOsp7-cre＇EGFe. These data demonstrate that the Bmp2 gene has complex roles in postnatal tooth development and periodontium formation.

We have previously demonstrated that allogeneic human bone marrow (BM) supports human islet function and longevity in vitro. We hypothesize that BM supporting human islets may include to increase β-cell in cultured islets. In this study, we developed a method to quantify insulin-producing β cells from cultured islets by using immunofluorescent staining and flow cytometry analysis to explore this possibility. The results show that human islets cocultured with BM for 39 days contained a significantly higher number of insulin-positive β cells (42.3% ± 4.5%) compared to the islet-only cultures (1.15% ± 0.78%), and increased insulin release levels evaluated by ELISA is consistent with increased β cells in same culture condition. Human islet culture with BM significantly increase β-cells while islet only culture lost β-cells in same culture period supports the possibility of BM increasing β-cells in cultured islets.

The prominence of Renewable Energy Sources(RES)in the process of power generation is exponentially increased in the recent days since these sources assist in minimizing the environmental contamination.A grid-tied DFIG(Doubly Fed Induction Generator)based WECS(Wind Energy Conversion System)is introduced in this work,in which a Landsman converter is implemented to impro-vise the output voltage of PV without anyﬂuctuations.A novel GA(Genetic Algorithm)assisted ANN(Artiﬁcial Neural Network)is employed for tracking the Maximum power from *** the rotor and grid side controllers,the for-mer is implemented by combining the statorﬂux with d-q reference frame and the latter is realized by the PI *** proposed approach delivers better per-formance in the compensation of real and reactive power along with the DC link voltage *** controlling mechanism is veriﬁed in both MATLAB and experimental bench setupby using an emulated wind turbine for the concurrent control of DC link potential,active and reactive *** source current THD is observed as 1.93%and 2.4%for simulation and hardware implementation respectively.

Combining the elastica theory, finite element (FE) analysis, and a geometrical topological experiment, we studied the mechanical behavior of a ring subjected to multi-pairs of evenly distributed equal radial forces by looking at its seven distinct states. The results showed that the theoretical predictions of the ring deformation and strain energy matched the FE results very well, and that the ring deformations were comparable to the topological experiment. Moreover, no matter whether the ring was compressed or tensioned by N-pairs of forces, the ring always tended to be regular polygons with 2N sides as the force increased, and a proper compressive force deformed the ring into exquisite flower-like patterns. The present study solves a basic mechanical problem of a ring subjected to lateral forces, which can be useful for studying the relevant mechanical behavior of ring structures from the nano- to the macro-scale.

Theoretical Investigations on Mapping Mean Distributions of Particulate Matter,Inert,Reactive,and Secondary Pollutants from Wildfires by Unmanned Air Vehicles(UAVs)

Evaluated Weather Research and Forecasting model inline with chemistry (WRF/Chem) simulations of the 2009 Crazy Mountain Complex wildfire in Interior Alaska served as a testbed for typical Alaska wildfire-smoke conditions. A virtual unmanned air vehicle (UAV) sampled temperatures, dewpoint temperatures, primary inert and reactive gases and particular matter of different sizes as well as secondary pollutants from the WRF/Chem results using different sampling patterns, altitudes and speeds to investigate the impact of the sampling design on obtained mean distributions. In this experimental design, the WRF/Chem data served as the “grand truth” to assess the mean distributions from sampling. During frontal passage, the obtained mean distributions were sensitive to the flight patterns, speeds and heights. For inert constituents mean distributions from sampling agreed with the “grand truth” within a factor of two at 1000 m. Mean distributions of gases involved in photochemistry differed among flight patterns except for ozone. The diurnal cycle of these gases’ concentrations led to overestimation (underestimation) of 20 h means in areas of high (low) concentrations as compared to the “grand truth.” The mean ozone distribution was sensitive to the speed of the virtual UAV. Particulate matter showed the strongest sensitivity to the flight patterns, especially during precipitation.

Drought is one of the major abiotic stresses which adversely affect crop plants limiting growth and yield *** and functional characterization of drought stress-induced genes has contributed to a better understanding of how plants respond and adapt to the drought *** the present study,differential display technique was employed to study the gene expression of rice plants at the reproductive stage that were subjected to drought stress by withholding water,Pseudomonas fluorescens strain(Pf1) treated plants subjected for drought stress by withholding water and control(well-watered).Differentially expressed c DNAs of six genes(COX1,PKDP,b ZIP1,AP2-EREBP,Hsp20 and COC1) were identified,cloned and ***-time q PCR analysis showed that all the six genes were upregulated in drought-stressed plants treated with *** revealed that the remarkable influence of Pf1 colonization leads to drought tolerance at the reproductive *** results showed that high levels of gene expression in plants lacking adequate water can be remarkably influenced by Pf1 colonization,which might be a key element for induced systemic tolerance by microbes.

Precipitation strengthening provides one of the most widely-used mechanisms for strengthen-ing multi-principal-element alloys(MPEAs).Here,we report dual-morphology B2 precipitates in Co_(36)Cr_(15)Fe_(18)Ni_(18)Al_(8)Ti_(4)Mo_(1)MPEA obtained by thermo-mechanical *** microscopy charac-terization reveals that the dual-morphology B2 precipitates are either recrystallized B2 particles formed at the grain boundaries or triple junctions with recrystallization process,or rod-like within the non-recrystallized FCC *** dual-morphology B2 precipitates enhance the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength up to 1120 MPa and 1480 MPa,*** work suggests the mechanical proper-ties of the alloy can be optimized by B2 precipitation strengthening to meet the needs of engineering applications.
