An individual’s perception,attitude,feeling and behavior about their body are important factors for mental health(depression).This study aims to explore the impact of body investment on depression,and the role of self-efficacy and self-esteem in this connection.A hypothetical model about the relationship between body investment,selfefficacy,self-esteem and depression was *** convenient sampling methods,a self-rated cross-sectional survey comprised of paper-based and online modes was conducted among 1,164 college students in Yunnan Province,china from July 2021 to August *** data collection used the body investment scale,self-efficacy scale,self-esteem scale and depression *** results show that there is a low to moderate positive correlation(ranging between-0.11 and-0.59)between the research *** body investment of college students has a negative predictive effect(B=16.23,SE=0.65)on *** connection is also regulated by the mediating role of self-esteem and *** these factors explain 37.83%variability of research *** findings show how body investment affects the depressive state of college ***,these results help to demonstrate that self-efficacy and self-esteem are academically important for optimizing students’depression,so as to promote a good mental state.

The aim of the study was to explore the relationship between college graduates’dual self-consciousness,job search clarity and perceived stress,and reveal the mediating role of perceived stress between dual self-consciousness and job search *** this study,467 college graduates were investigated using the Dual Self-consciousness Scale,Job Search clarity Scale,and Perceived Stress *** controlling for gender,age,and region,the results revealed that:(1)private self-consciousness has a signiﬁcant positive predictive effect on job search clarity;(2)perceived stress has a signiﬁcant negative predictive effect on job search clarity;(3)perceived stress plays partial mediation effects between private self-consciousness and job search clarity;(4)perceived stress plays complete mediation effects between public self-consciousness and job search clarity;(5)perceived stress has suppressing effects between public self-consciousness and job search clarity.

Background:Limited information is available regarding the nutritive value and structural characteristics of multispecies swards when rotationally ***:Three farmlet types were investigated in terms of their nutritive value:Lolium perenne(LP);***+Trifolium repens(LP+TR);and a multispecies sward containing grasses,legumes and herbs(MSS).Farmlets were stocked with beef steers(2.5 livestock units ha−1),grazed on a 1 ha scale to 6 cm(MSS)and 4 cm(LP and LP+TR)***:A greater ash concentration was found in MSS than LP(84 vs.75 g kg−1 DM).Both LP+TR and MSS had higher crude protein and lower neutral detergent fibre concentrations than *** relative ranking of water soluble carbohydrate and dry matter(DM)concentration was LP>LP+TR>*** the leaf component of the LP farmlet contributing more to herbage DM,the organic matter digestibilities of the swards were ***:The MSS and LP+TR farmlets achieved similar forage quality under intensive grazing to ***,it is worth noting that MSS had a higher concentration of acid detergent lignin,which can negatively impact *** investigation is needed to determine optimal grazing management practices that can minimise the effects of higher lignin concentration on digestibility in multispecies swards.

Because of factors such as energy and time one invests in an object,the stronger the connection,value,and reluc-tance to lose said object individual will *** behavior arises when individuals incorporate a strong attachment with themselves to an *** purpose of this study is to examine the effect of self-investment on hoarding tendency and the roles of possession-self link and liking level in this connection.A hypothetical model of the relationship between self-investment,possession-self link,liking level,and hoarding tendency was tested.A convenience sampling method was used to survey 450 college students in Yunnan Province on either a paper-based or online self-report *** data were collected using self-investment,possession-self link,and liking level questionnaires,as well as the Saving Inventory *** showed positive relationship between the study variables,ranging from 0.37 to *** students’self-investment had a direct positive pre-dictive effect on hoarding tendency;self-investment,in turn,indirectly predicted hoarding tendency through the mediating effect of possession-self link;and individual liking level of items had a moderating effect for self-invest-ment on the possession-self *** study shows how self-investment affects the hoarding tendency of college students,and the results of this study also help demonstrate the value of self-investment and possession-self link in optimizing students’hoarding tendency and thus promoting good psychological status.

The present study aimed to explore the drivers of early marriage and teenage pregnancy in Kenya and Uganda during cOVID-19 lockdown period.A systematic review design was *** major online databases utilized were PubMed,Google Scholar,Uganda and Kenya Ministry of Health repositories,ScienceDirect,and *** that were originating from Kenya and Uganda that were publicly available in electronic format published from March 2020 to March 2022 were *** thematic analysis identified major concepts that were drivers to the present research problem which were as follows:(1)school closure and(2)loss of income by *** cOVID-19 containment measures introduced in the two countries were noted as major contributing *** the pandemic,lockdown led to school closures which meant the teenagers being idle at home with an increased opportunity to indulge in sexual risk *** have been noted to be a safe place protecting this vulnerable ***,with their prolonged closure,the teenagers were exposed to sexual *** lost income,and this might have contributed to early marriages and teenagers’dependency on their sexual *** on the reviewed evidence,the present study furthers the advocacy for the reduction of early marriages and teenage pregnancy,especially in the current cOVID-19 pandemic *** study calls upon the governments to intensify efforts toward the present research problem as the cOVID-19 pandemic is eroding the earlier gains made within the region.

Reforestation Programs in Southwest china:Reported Success,Observed Failure, and the Reasons Why

Ever since the disastrous floods of 1998, the chinese government has used the Natural Forest Protection and Sloping Land conversion Programs to promote afforestation and reforestation as means to reduce runoff, control erosion, and stabilize local livelihoods. These two ambitious programs have been reported as large-scale successes, contributing to an overall increase in china’s forest cover and to the stated goals of environmental stabilization. A small-scale field study at the project level of the implementation of these two programs in Baiwu Township, Yanyuan county, Sichuan, casts doubt upon the accuracy and reliability of these claims of success; ground observations revealed utter failure in some sites and only marginal success in others. Reasons for this discrepancy are posited as involving ecological, economic, and bureaucratic factors. Further research is suggested to determine whether these discrepancies are merely local aberrations or represent larger-scale failures in reforestation programs.

chronic liver disease is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide and usually develops over many years, as a result of chronic inflammation and scarring, resulting in end-stage liver disease and its complications. The progression of disease is characterised by ongoing inflammation and consequent fibrosis, although hepatic steatosis is increasingly being recognised as an important pathological feature of disease, rather than being simply an innocent bystander. However, the current gold standard method of quantifying and staging liver disease, histological analysis by liver biopsy, has several limitations and can have associated morbidity and even mortality. Therefore, there is a clear need for safe and noninvasive assessment modalities to determine hepatic steatosis, inflammation and fibrosis. This review covers key mechanisms and the importance of fibrosis and steatosis in the progression of liver disease. We address non-invasive imaging and blood biomarker assessments that can be used as an alternative to information gained on liver biopsy.

chronic exposure to elevated levels of manganese and nickel is not harmful to a cosmopolitan detritivore, Megaselia scalaris （Diptera： Phoridae）

Environmental contamination with metals such as manganese （Mn） and nickel （Ni） often results in elevated concentrations of these metals in plant tissues. At high concentrations, these metals are known to have detrimental effects on certain insect herbivores. Using laboratory bioassays and artificial diet, we investigated the development and survival of a cosmopolitan insect detritivore, Megaselia scalaris （Diptera： Phoridae）, exposed to concentrations of Mn and Ni reaching 2 600 mg Mn/kg and 5 200 mg Ni/kg dry mass （dm） in artificial diet. Surprisingly, Ni and Mn at the concentrations tested did not harm this fly. Treatment groups from diets with 260-2 600 mg Mn/kg dm and 1 300-5 200 mg Ni/kg dm had significantly shorter larval development times, overall times to adult emergence, and both pupariation and pupal eclosion times compared to a control group. Wing length of females, a correlate of adult fitness, was also greater in metal treatment groups. Other measures including rate of egg hatch, percentage of emerging flies that were female, and wing length of male flies, were not significantly different in metal treatment groups. We conclude that Megaselia scalaris is tolerant of exceptionally high levels of Mn and Ni.
