Industry decarbonization requires the development of highly efficient and flexible technologies relying on renewable energy resources,especially biomass and solar/wind *** the case of pure oxygen production,oxygen transport membranes(OTms)appear as an alternative technology for the cryogenic distillation of air,the industrially-established process of producing ***,OTms could provide oxygen from different sources(air,water,CO_(2),etc.),and they are more flexible in adapting to current processes,producing oxygen at 700^(-1)000℃.Furthermore,OTms can be integrated into catalytic membrane reactors,providing new pathways for different *** first part of this study was focused on electrification on a traditional OTm material(Ba_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)O_(3-δ)),imposing different electric currents/voltages along a capillary *** to the emerging Joule effect,the membrane-surface temperature and the associated O_(2) permeation flux could be ***,the OTm is electrically and locally heated and reaches 900℃on the surface,whereas the surrounding of the membrane was maintained at 650℃.The O_(2)permeation flux reached for the electrified membranes was~3.7 NmL min^(-1)cm^(-2),corresponding to the flux obtained with an OTm non-electrified at 900℃.The influence of depositing a porous Ce_(0.8)Tb_(0.2)O_(2-δ) catalytic/protective layer on the outer membrane surface revealed that lower surface temperatures(830℃)were detected at the same imposed electric ***,the electrification concept was demonstrated in a catalytic membrane reactor(CmR)where the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane(ODHE)was carried *** reaction is very sensitive to temperature,and here,we demonstrate an improvement of the ethylene yield by reaching moderate temperatures in the reaction chamber while the O_(2) injection into the reaction can be easily fine-tuned.

AIm To review the incidence of graft loss and acute rejection among renal transplant recipients with early reduction of immunosuppression for BK *** We performed a retrospective analysis of consecutive de-novo kidney-only transplants from January 2009 to December 2012 to evaluate the incidence of Polyomavirus associated nephropathy(PyV AN). Recipient plasma was screened for BKV DNA via quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR) at months 1,3,6,9 and 12 post-transplant and on worsening graft *** was reduced at ≥ 3-log copies/mL. Those with viremia of ≥ 4-log copies/mL(presumptive PyV AN) underwent renal transplant biopsy. Presumptive Py VAN(PP) and definitive Py VAN(DP; biopsy-proven) were treated by immunosuppression reduction(IR) only. RESULTS Among 319 kidney transplant recipients,the median age was 53 years(range 19-83),65.8% were male,and 58.9% were white. Biopsy-proven acute rejection was found in 18.5% within 0-168 wk. Death-censored graft loss occurred in 5.3%(n = 17) and graft loss attributable to PyV AN was 0.6%(n = 2). Forty-seven patients were diagnosed with PP(14.7%) and 18(5.6%) with DP. Graft loss among participants with PyV AN(8.5%) and those without(4.8%) was not significantly different. Deceased donor kidney transplantation(OR = 2.3,95%CI = 1.1-4.6) and AR(OR = 2.3,95%CI = 1.2-4.7) were associated with Py VAN in the multivariate analysis. BK viremia between 3 and 4-log copies/mL occurred in 27 patients,all of whom underwent IR. Of these,16(59%) never developed PyV AN while 11(41%) developed PyV AN(4 DP,7 PP) within a range of 11-39 wk. CONCLUSION Instituting an early reduction of immunosuppression,in the absence of adjunctive antivirals,is effective at preventing PyV AN and may be associated with a lower incidence of graft-loss without a reciprocal increase in the incidence of acute rejection.

We postulate and analyze a nonlinear subsampling accuracy loss(SSAL)model based on the root mean square error(RmSE)and two SSAL models based on the mean square error(mSE),suggested by extensive preliminary *** SSAL models predict accuracy loss in terms of subsampling parameters like the fraction of users dropped(FUD)and the fraction of items dropped(FID).We seek to investigate whether the models depend on the characteristics of the dataset in a constant way across datasets when using the SVD collaborative filtering(CF)*** dataset characteristics considered include various densities of the rating matrix and the numbers of users and *** simulations and rigorous regression analysis led to empirical symmetrical SSAL models in terms of FID and FUD whose coefficients depend only on the data *** SSAL models came out to be multi-linear in terms of odds ratios of dropping a user(or an item)*** dropping ***,one mSE deterioration model turned out to be linear in the FID and FUD odds where their interaction term has a zero *** importantly,the models are constant in the sense that they are written in closed-form using the considered data characteristics(densities and numbers of users and items).The models are validated through extensive simulations based on 850 synthetically generated primary(pre-subsampling)matrices derived from the 25m movieLens *** 460000 subsampled rating matrices were then simulated and subjected to the singular value decomposition(SVD)CF *** validation was conducted using the 1m movieLens and the Yahoo!music Rating *** models were constant and significant across all 3 datasets.
