In a recent article the authors described a possible process of generating electromagnetic waves in the range of 1-12 Hz caused by diamagnetic currents originated by heat in ionosphere by high frequency waves （HF）. The origin of the HF waves that reach the ionosphere can be sent from the Earth＇s surface （HAARP- High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program） or even solar. Through a SpectranNF-5035 detector, developed by German Aaronia with high sensitivity （1 μV） in a range of 1-12 Hz and low sampling time （5 ms）, it was possible to measure these waves. During the months of July and August of 2016, very dry and away from electrical discharges in the region of S~ Jos~ dos Campos, SP, Brazil were made several series of measurements to detect these waves. The positive results of these experimental observations as well as discussions and suggestions are presented in this paper.

We developed advances laser retroreflectors for solar system exploration, geodesy and for precision test of General Relativity (GR) and new gravitational physics: a micro-reflector array (INRRI, Instrument for landing-Roving laser Retroreflectors Investigations), a midsize reflector array for the European Earth Observation (EO) program, Copernicus (CORA, COpernicus laser Retroreflector Array), a large, single-retroreflector (moonLIGHT, moon Laser Instrumentation for General relativity High accuracy Tests). These laser retroreflectors will be fully characterized at the SCF_Lab (Satellite/lunar/GNSS laser ranging/altimetry Cube/microsat Characterization Facilities Laboratory), a unique and dedicated infrastructure of INFN-LNF (***/esperimenti/etrusco/). Our research program foresees several activities: 1) Developing and characterizing the mentioned laser retroreflector devices to determine landing accuracy, rover positioning during exploration and planetary/moon’s surface georeferencing. These devices will be passive, laser wavelength- independent, long-lived reference point. INRRI will enable the performance of full-column measurement of trace species in the mars atmosphere by future space-borne lidars. These measurements will be complementary to highly localized measurements made by gas sampling techniques on the Rover or by laser back-scattering lidar techniques on future orbiters and/or from the surface. INRRI will also support laser and quantum communications, carried out among future mars Orbiters and mars Rovers. This will be possible also because the INRRI laser retroreflectors will be metal back-coated and, therefore, will not change the photon polarization. The added value of INRRI is its low mass, compact size, zero maintenance and its usefulness for any future laser altimetry, ranging, communications, atmospheric lidar capable mars orbiter, for virtually decades after the end of the mars surface mission, like the Apollo and Lunokhod lunar laser

The effect of the addition of graphite nanoparticles into the electrolyte used to produce plasma electrolytic oxidation（PEO） coatings on AZ91 and AZ80 magnesium alloys was studied. The corrosion and wear resistances of the obtained coatings were investigated. A solution that contained both phosphates and silicates was used as electrolyte. moreover, two different PEO treatment times were studied. The corrosion resistance was analyzed with potentiodynamic polarization and EIS tests; the wear resistance was investigated with a flat on ring tribometer. The results were related to the morphology, microstructure, elemental composition and thickness evaluated with SEm analysis. The presence of the graphite nanoparticles increased the thickness, produced a densification of the coating and sealed the pores on the surface, thus improving both the corrosion and wear resistance. The increase in the corrosion and wear resistances was more evident for AZ91 than for AZ80 due to the higher aluminum content.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) reactivation represents an emerging cause of liver disease in patients undergoing treatment with biologic agents. In particular, the risk ofHBV reactivation is heightened by the use monoclonalantibodies, such as rituximab (anti-CD20) and alemtuzumab (anti-CD52) that cause profound and longlasting immunosuppression. Emerging data indicatethat HBV reactivation could also develop following theuse of other biologic agents, such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α inhibitors. When HBV reactivation is di-agnosed, it is mandatory to suspend biologic treatmentand start antiviral agents immediately. However, preemptive antiviral therapy prior to monoclonal antibodyadministration is crucial in preventing HBV reactivationand its clinical consequences. Several lines of evidencehave shown that risk of HBV reactivation is greatlyreduced by the identifi cation of high-risk patients andthe use of prophylactic antiviral therapy. In this article, we discuss current trends in the management of HBV reactivation in immunosuppressed patients receiving biologic therapy, such as rituximab, alemtuzumab and TNF-α antagonists.

Coastal plain evolution in southern Hainan Island,China

The coast of southern Hainan Island is characterized by wide sandy embayments, which consist of ( i) drowned valleys bounded by steep bedrock hills and only locally receiving sediments, and embayments of various dimensions covered either by (ii) alluvial-deltaic deposits or by (iii) sands of coastal beach ridges/barriers and associated elongated lagoons. During the late Tertiary-Pleistocene the area has experienced isostatic and eustatic movements associated with neotectonics and climatic changes. Such history isrecorded in terraces at various altitudes (SO, 40, 20 m asl) and sequences of coastal sand ridges/baymouth bars. The Holocene variations in sea level and climate are recorded in the dated coastal ridges, coral reef and beachrock. Conditions suitable for reef development started about 8000 a BP. The GPR profiles also show that the internal structures of the sand ridges have composite nature being formed by several superimposed secondary ridges.
