Monolithic LC method applied to fesoterodine fumarate low dose extended-release tablets:Dissolution and release kinetics

A dissolution test for fesoterodine low dose extended-release tablets using liquid chromatographic（LC） method equipped with a C18 monolithic column was developed and validated. LC system was operated isocratically at controlled temperature（40 1C） using a mobile phase of acetonitrile：methanol：0.03 M ammonium acetate（p H 3.8）（30：15：55, v/v/v）, run at a flow rate of 1.5 m L/min and detected at 208 nm. The best dissolution conditions for this formulation were achieved using a USP apparatus 2（paddle） at 100 rpm and 900 m L of phosphate buffer at p H 6.8 as the dissolution *** parameters such as the specificity, linearity, accuracy, precision, and robustness were evaluated according to international guidelines, giving results within the acceptable range. The kinetic parameters of drug release were also investigated using model-dependent methods and the dissolution profiles were best described by the Higuchi model. The validated dissolution test can be applied for quality control of this formulation.

Headwater streams play a major role for provision of ecosystem services,*** *** investigated a high-altitude headwater catchment of the Kharaa River(including 411st-order rivers)to understand the impact of land cover(especially forest cover),environment and human usage on runoff,chemical water quality and macroinvertebrate fauna in a river basin under discontinuous permafrost conditions in an arid,sparsely populated region of *** verify our hypotheses that different landuses and environmental impacts in permafrost headwaters influence water quality,we investigated 105 sampling sites,37 of them at intermittent stream sections without water *** was positively impacted by land cover types steppe,grassland and forest and negatively by shrubland,forest burnt by wild fires(indicating a reduction of permafrost)and *** quality was affected by altitude,longitude and latitude,shrub growth and water *** diversity of macroinvertebrates was driven by water temperature,iron content of the water,flow velocity,and subbasin size(adjusted R^(2)=0.54).Sample plots clustered in three groups that differed in water chemistry,macroinvertebrate diversity,species composition and *** study confirms that steppes and grasslands have a higher contribution to runoff than forests,forest cover has a positive impact on water quality,and diversity of macroinvertebrates is higher in sites with less nutrients and *** excellent ecological status of the upper reaches of the Kharaa is severely threatened by forest fires and human-induced climate change and urgently needs to be conserved.

Soil moisture(SM)content is one of the most important environmental variables in relation to land surface climatology,hydrology,and ***-term SM data-sets on a regional scale provide reasonable information about climate change and global warming specific *** aim of this research work is to develop an integrated methodology for SM of kastanozems soils using multispectral satellite *** study area is Tuv(48°40′30″N and 106°15′55″E)province in the forest steppe zones in *** addition to this,land surface temperature(LST)and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)from Landsat satellite images were integrated for the ***,we used a digital elevation model(DEM)from ASTER satellite image with 30-m *** and slope maps were derived from this *** soil moisture index(SMI)was obtained using spectral information from Landsat satellite *** used regression analysis to develop the *** model shows how SMI from satellite depends on LST,NDVI,DEM,Slope,and Aspect in the agricultural *** results of the model were correlated with the ground SM data in Tuv *** results indicate that there is a good agreement between output SM and SM of ground truth for agricultural *** research is focused on moisture mapping for different natural zones in *** innovative part of this research is to estimate SM using drivers which are vegetation,land surface temperature,elevation,aspect,and slope in the forested steppe *** integrative methodology can be applied for different regions with forest and desert steppe zones.

The recent economic progress in China has stimulated scientific research in sandy lands in Inner Mongolia, where the Institute of Desert Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences （now CAREERI） has a leading position. Economic progress naturally creates financial resources for research, and also a dire need for solutions to emerging environmental problems following development, where wind-blown dust from Inner Mongolia adds to the severe particle air pollution in many Chinese cities. This paper presents selected results and observations made during Chinese-Swedish cooperation projects spanning 25 years. Results and experiences from sandy land research concerning climate, vegetation, root dynamics, soil carbon balances, etc. are briefly presented. The evolution of the Naiman Desertification Research Station, 520 km northeast of Beijing, from 1988 to 2013 is duly noted and commented. An overview of the ICBM soil carbon model concept follows and a few recommendations for future scientific advancement in Chinese arid lands are given.

Variability and change of climate extremes from indigenous herder knowledge and at meteorological stations across central Mongolia

In semi-arid regions,air temperatures have increased in the last decades more than in many other parts of the *** has an arid/semi-arid climate and much of the population are herders whose livelihoods depend upon limited water resources that fluctuate with a variable *** were surveyed to identify their observations of changes in climate extremes for two soums of central Mongolia,Ikh-Tamir in the forest steppe north of the Khangai Mountains and Jinst in the desert steppe south of the *** herders’indigenous knowledge of changes in climate extremes mostly aligned with the station-based analyses of *** were warming with more warm days and nights at all *** were fewer cool days and nights observed at the mountain stations both in the summer and winter,yet more cool days and nights were observed in the winter at the desert steppe *** number of summer days is increasing while the number of frost days is decreasing at all *** results of this study support further use of local knowledge and meteorological observations to provide more holistic analysis of climate change in different regions of the world.
