This research work relates the surface of a square and the area circumscribed by a circle, resulting in a value called Nikola Tesla constant. This constant starts with the calculation of the areas of the square and the inscribed circle, giving a ratio of 9/40 and from which a residual area of the area proportions of the geometric figures described is obtained. Plotting smooth curves, particularly those in round shapes, can be represented efficiently with the use of Nikola Tesla constant, reducing complex mathematical calculus.

BACKGROUND The development of precision medicine is essential for personalized treatment and improved clinical outcome,whereas biomarkers are critical for the success of precision *** To investigate whether iCEMIGE(integration of CEll-morphometrics,MIcro-biome,and GEne biomarker signatures)improves risk stratification of breast cancer(BC)*** We used our recently developed machine learning technique to identify cellular morphometric biomarkers(CMBs)from the whole histological slide images in The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)breast cancer(TCGA-BRCA)*** Cox regression was used to assess whether cell-morphometrics prognosis score(CMPS)and our previously reported 12-gene expression prognosis score(GEPS)and 15-microbe abundance prognosis score(MAPS)were independent prognostic *** was built upon the sparse representation learning *** iCEMIGE scoring model performance was measured by the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve compared to CMPS,GEPS,or MAPS *** models were created to predict overall survival(OS)and progress-free survival(PFS)rates at 5-and 10-year in the TCGA-BRCA *** We identified 39 CMBs that were used to create a CMPS system in ***,GEPS,and MAPS were found to be significantly independently associated with *** then established an iCEMIGE scoring system for risk stratification of BC *** iGEMIGE score has a significant prognostic value for OS and PFS independent of clinical factors(age,stage,and estrogen and progesterone receptor status)and PAM50-based molecular ***,the iCEMIGE score significantly increased the power to predict OS and PFS compared to CMPS,GEPS,or MAPS *** Our study demonstrates a novel and generic artificial intelligence framework for multimodal data integration toward improving prognosis risk stratification of BC patients,which can be extended to other types of cancer.

The world is experiencing a growing shortage of raw materials which is especially severe in the energy sector and being worsened by the unfavorable environmental impact of a consumerist cultttre revolving around the exploitation of non-renewable resources. In this work, the calorific value and chemical composition of liquors resulting from the autohydrolysis of six different lignocellulosic materials was determined （Eucalyptus globulus, Arundo donax, Leucaena diversifolia, Paulownia fortunei, Sunflower stalks and Chamaecytisus proliferus） and was assessed for the obtainment of energy, sugars and other chemical products by using of integral fractionation based on autohydrolysis. Autohydrolysis processes have been considered interesting in the case of timber species studied compared with herbaceous species with variations in the extraction of the xylan fraction at 180℃ between 19.68% for Eucalyptus globulus and 36.79% for Leucaena diversifolia and 200℃ between 57.86% for Paulawniafortunei and 79.13 % for Chamaecytisusproliferus. In general, all materials show a solid fraction ＂more energy＂ from the hydrolysis to 200℃ than 180℃ and raw materials. It is interesting as the potential economy valuation of the liquid fractions of the hydrolysis, the solid waste recovery present more energetic profitability.

The infiuence of small calcium additions on the high-temperature mechanical behaviour in an extruded Mg-6Zn-l Y(wt.%)alloy reinforced by the I-phase has been *** promotes the formation of the intermetallic Mg6Zn3Ca2 phase instead of 1-phase,which results in a noticeable improvement of the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the alloy above 100℃.The strength of the alloys was analysed taking into account the contribution due to the grain size,the crystallographic texture and the volume fraction and nature of second phase *** situ synchrotron radiation diffraction experiments have been used to evaluate the load partitioning between the magnesium matrix and the second phase particles(1-and MgeZgCa?phases)in both *** load transfer from the magnesium matrix towards the MgeZihCa?phase is markedly more effective than that for the I-phase over the entire temperature range,especially at 200°C,temperature at which the reinforcement effect of the I-phase is null.

引言:为什么选择澳门和马赛?近几十年来,全球史已经能与“旧史学”——专注于零散的、地方性的、民族国家内部的历史观相提并论了。“旧史学”过多地使用微历史视角叙述,却没有强调通常定义下地区间的社会经济和文化交流过程。然而,随着冷战的结束、柏林墙的倒塌,全球史在学术研究上更受关注。通常人们会认为全球史是关于以发达国家现代经济发展为标志的全球化的历史,但事实上全球史是分析人、社会、经济和文化以及全球不同地区的差异的一种研究方法。因此,全球史是一门通过寻找大型问题的答案以帮助人们认知此种全球性进程的交叉科学。彭慕兰(Kenneth Pomeranz)2000年出版的《大分流》是全球(经济)史研究的一个里程碑,它的主要目标是对在工业革命初期发达国家和发展中国家之间的巨大经济差异以及在中国经济发展水平等同甚至超过欧洲的前提下,为什么西欧国家诸如英国和荷兰先一步进行了工业革命,促使它们经济腾飞并领先于中国等问题做出进一步的解释。以加州学派学者为代表的学者们把理论重点放在中国东部地区的经济发展上,诸如彭慕兰、王国斌、杰克·戈德斯通(Jack Goldstone)、李中清、丹尼斯·弗林(Dennis Flynn)、阿图罗·吉拉尔德兹(Arturo Giraldez)、马立博(Robert ***)、万志英(Richard Von Glann)、约翰·霍布森(John Hobson)、杰克·古迪(Jack Goody)、吉姆·布劳特(Jim Blaut)和贡德·弗兰克等知名历史学家。他们通过对“欧洲中心论”这一曾盛行于世界历史的视角发起挑战,分析了西方与东方特别是欧洲和中国之间的巨大经济差异。

Goal: To evaluate the impact of iodine-131 therapy received during childhood and adolescence and correlate it with the quality of life in these patients. Methods: We studied 19 patients diagnosed with cancer in childhood or adolescence who underwent thyroidectomy and supplemental therapy with I-131. We also recruited a control group of healthy subjects with the same demographic parameters. All patients were subjected to a scintigraphy examination of the salivary glands, and were also asked to complete a questionnaire in order to assess their overall quality of life. In addition, a more specific questionnaire for patients with head and neck cancer was also given to all study participants. Results: The quantitative and qualitative analyses of the salivary glands showed functional deficits with greater involvement of the parotid gland for volume, concentration and excretion. The right submandibular gland showed significant changes for volume in the patient group. The questionnaires made it possible to observe significant differences between the patient and control groups for symptoms such as thick saliva, dry mouth and speech problems. Conclusion: In spite of being very effective and widely used, iodine radionuclide therapy is correlated with a lower quality of life in young people.

Support Vector-based learning methods are an important part of Computational Intelligence techniques. Recent efforts have been dealing with the problem of learning from very large datasets. This paper reviews the most commonly used formulations of support vector machines for regression (SVRs) aiming to emphasize its usability on large-scale applications. We review the general concept of support vector machines (SVMs), address the state-of-the-art on training methods SVMs, and explain the fundamental principle of SVRs. The most common learning methods for SVRs are introduced and linear programming-based SVR formulations are explained emphasizing its suitability for large-scale learning. Finally, this paper also discusses some open problems and current trends.

Invasive-squamous-cell-cancer (ISCC) of the anal canal is an uncommon disease. Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the etiological agent of most of types of ISCC. The incidence of ISCC has been increasing in HIV-infected individuals, even after the introduction of highly active antiretroviral therapy. The aim of this study was to analyze biopsy specimens from patients diagnosed with ISCC at a tertiary hospital from 1983 to 2012 in order to detect HPV-DNA. Methods: Formaldehyde-fixed, paraffin-embedded specimens from patients with ISCC underwent HPV-DNA genotyping using multiplex PCR assay. Results: A total of 31 cases were collected;10 were HIV-infected (9 men, 1 woman) and 21 non-HIV-infected (11 men, 10 women). HPV infection was detected in 87.5% (7/8) of the HIV-infected patients (DNA from 2 biopsies was degraded) and 76.2% (16/21) of non-HIV-infected individuals. Multiple-type infections were only found in 28.6% (2/7) of the HIV-infected patients (no multiple-type infections in non-HIV-infected individuals). The most prevalent type was HPV-16: 50% (4/8) in the HIV-infected group (57% [4/7] of the HPV-positive samples) and 66.7% (14/21) in the non-HIV-infected group (87.5% (14/16) of the HPV-positive samples). Remarkably, 37.5% (3/8) of the HIV-infected group had high-risk HPV types not included in the vaccines (HPV-33, 51, 52, and 66) compared with 4.8% in the non-HIV-infected group (1/21, HPV-52). All cases of anal ISCC in HIV-infected patients were recorded in the highly active antiretroviral therapy era. Conclusion: HIV-infected patients presented anal ISCC with a higher proportion of high-risk HPV types not covered by the conventional vaccines than non-HIV-infected individuals.
