Reducing energy consumption has become a matter of increasing concern for electric vehicle owners. EcoDriver is a project funded by the European Commission, searching for new eco-driving solutions for reducing energy consumption in private and public transport. EcoDriver’s main purpose is to teach efficient driving strategies and facilitate drivers’ decision-making processes through several feedback modalities, in order to help increase driving efficiency and therefore reduce energy consumption. In the present study, the Full ecoDriver System combined with a haptic feedback gas pedal was tested in real driving conditions to give answers to some questions about its effectiveness, efficiency, workload and acceptability in an electric vehicle. The sample profile was composed by thirty young but experienced drivers. They had to drive around an open road track which allowed several possible scenarios such as curves, intersection or roundabout, speed limit changes and preceding vehicles. Average speed was registered on each lap, likewise other subjective measurements. The main results suggest that the efficiency benefits achieved while driving depend on the event type and the feedback modality provided. For instance haptic feedback seems to be especially indicated for roundabouts. In addition, the visual feedback provided by the FeDS nomadic device helps to save energy and learn eco-driving strategies. These outcomes indicate how several feedback modalities could facilitate the decision making process, changing driving behaviour, reducing energy consumption and increasing safety. These questions would help advance further research on eco-driving Intelligent Transport Systems and driving behaviour issues.

Optimal response to drought is critical for plant survival and will affect biodiversity and crop performance during climate change. mitotically heritable epigenetic or dynamic chromatin state changes have been implicated in the plant response to the drought stress hormone abscisic acid （ABA）. The Arabidopsis SWI/SNF chromatin-remodeling ATPase BRAHmA （BRm） modulates response to ABA by preventing pre- mature activation of stress response pathways during germination. We show that core ABA signaling pathway components physically interact with BRm and post-translationally modify BRm by phosphoryla- tion/dephosphorylation. Genetic evidence suggests that BRm acts downstream of SnRK2.2/2.3 kinases, and biochemical studies identified phosphorylation sites in the C-terminal region of BRm at SnRK2 target sites that are evolutionarUy conserved. Finally, the phosphomimetic BRms17s^D S1762D mutant displays ABA hypersensitivity. Prior studies showed that BRm resides at target loci in the ABA pathway in the presence and absence of the stimulus, but is only active in the absence of ABA. Our data suggest that SnRK2- dependent phosphorylation of BRm leads to its inhibition, and PP2CA-mediated dephosphorylation of BRm restores the ability of BRm to repress ABA response. These findings point to the presence of a rapid phosphorylation-based switch to control BRm activity; this property could be potentially harnessed to improve drought tolerance in plants.

Two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide semiconductors have emerged as promising candidates for optoelectronic devices with unprecedented properties and ultra-compact footprints. However, the high sensitivity of atomically thin materials to the surrounding dielectric media imposes severe limitations on their practical applicability. Hence, to enable the effective integration of these materials in devices, the development of reliable encapsulation procedures that preserve their physical properties is required. Here, the excitonic photoluminescence （at room temperature and 10 K） is assessed on mechanically exfoliated WSe2 monolayer flakes encapsulated with SiOx and AlxOy layers by means of chemical and physical deposition techniques. Conformal coating on untreated and non- functionalized flakes is successfully achieved by all the techniques examined, with the exception of atomic layer deposition, for which a cluster-like oxide coating is formed. No significant compositional or strain state changes in the flakes are detected upon encapsulation, independently of the technique adopted. Remarkably, our results show that the optical emission of the flakes is strongly influenced by the stoichiometry quality of the encapsulating oxide. When the encapsulation is carried out with slightly sub-stoichiometric oxides, two remarkable phenomena are observed. First, dominant trion （charged exciton） photoluminescence is detected at room temperature, revealing a clear electrical doping of the monolayers. Second, a strong decrease in the optical emission of the monolayers is observed, and attributed to non-radiative recombination processes and/or carrier transfer from the flake to the oxide. Power- and temperature-dependent photoluminescence measurements further confirm that stoichiometric oxides obtained by physical deposition lead to a successful encapsulation, opening a promising route for the development of integrated two-dimensional devices.

AIm:To evaluate the relationships between the personal, sociocultural,and environmental characteristics,and the presence or absence of symptoms with the detection of Enterobius vermicularis(***)in a population sample in our region(General mansilla,Province of Buenos Aires,Argentina),by individual and familiar analyses. mETHODS:*** was diagnosed in 309 people from 70 family units residing in the urban area and the rural area of the city of General *** of them was surveyed so as to register personal,environmental and sociocultural *** about the presence or absence of anal itch,abdominal pain and sleeping disorder were also *** associations were determined by square chi *** regression models were adjusted by using a backward conditional stepwise method to determine the presence of this parasite in the individuals and in the families. Background: The incidence of mycobacterial infection, in particular m. tuberculosis complex (mTC), is increasing in some Western countries, while nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTm) may be recognized more frequently in clinical specimens worldwide. The clinical scenario and available histopathology alone are often insufficient to separate these two categories of mycobacterial disease, whose behavior and treatment differ. In particular, NTm may be clinically unsuspected in pathological specimens and the opportunity for culturing missed. methods: We developed two multiplex PCR assays, which distinguish mTC from NTm by detecting the IS6110 insert in the first tube and discriminating up to 14 NTm reference strains in the second by targeting the 16S-23S rRNA internal transcribed spacer. Test material included 594 routine clinical specimens with diverse pathology;many were granulomas unrelated to mycobacterial infection. About 75% were formalin-fixed paraffin blocks, the remainder mainly cytologic imprints or aspirates on FTA cards submitted on suspicion of mycobacterial infection either to avoid frozen sectioning (with the attendant risk of aerosolisation) or at the time of fine needle aspiration. Results: The paraffinized material yielded 53 mTC positives and the cytological 21 positives. A subset consisting of 337 specimens was also analyzed for NTm and yielded 51 positives. The frequency of simultaneous NTm infection in tuberculous patients was about 17%. mycobacterium avium complex represented the dominant NTm species overall, showed a predilection for lung and lymph node, and together with m. haemophilum were the second most frequent NTm just behind m. ulcerans/m. marinum in skin and soft tissue, the category displaying the largest NTm diversity.
