We study th. Banach.Lie group Ltaut（A） of Lie triple automorph.sms of a complex associative h.＊-algebra A. Some consequences about its Lie algebra, th. algebra of Lie triple derivations of A, Ltder（A）, are obtained. For a topologically simple A, in th. infinite-dimensional case we h.ve Ltaut（A）0 = Aut（A） implying Ltder（A） = Der（A）. In th. finite-dimensional case Ltaut（A）0 is a direct product of Aut（A） and a certain subgroup of Lie derivations δ from A to its center, annih.lating commutators.

Sloping and mountainous olive production systems are widespread, occupying large parts of th. Mediterranean landscape prone to water erosion. Soil erosion, runoff, and soil water content patterns over a th.ee-year period were monitored in erosion plots on a mountainside with.rainfed olive （Olea europaea cv. Picual） trees under： 1） non-tillage with.barley strips of 4 m width.（BS）; 2） non-tillage with.native vegetation strips of 4 m width.（nVS）; and 3） non-tillage with.ut plant strips （nT）. Th. erosion plots, located in Lanjaron （Granada, south.eastern Spain）, on a 30% slope, were 192 m2 in area. For assessing soil water dynamics in real-time and near-continuous soil water content measurements, multisensor capacitance probes were installed in th. middle of plant strips and beneath.th. olive tree at five soil depth. （10, 20, 30, 50, and 100 cm）. Th. h.gh.st erosion and runoff rates were measured under nT, with.a mean of 17.3 Mg h.-1 year-1 and 140.0 mm year-1, respectively, over th. entire study period. Th. BS and nVS with.respect to th. nT reduced erosion by 71% and 59% and runoff by 95% and 94%, respectively. In general, greater available soil water content was found under BS th.n nVS and nT, especially beneath.th. olive tree canopies. Th.se results supported th. recommendation of non-tillage with.barley strips in order to reduce erosion and to preserve soil water for trees in traditional mountainous olive-producing areas, wh.re orch.rds cover vast tracts of land.

Optical coh.rence tomograph. （OCT） h.s gained considerable attention in interventional cardiovascular medicine and is currently used in clinical settings to assess ath.rosclerotic lesions and to optimize stent placement. Artery imaging at th. cellular level constitutes th. first step towards cardiovascular molecular imaging, wh.ch.represents a major advance in th. development of personalized noninvasive th.rapies. In th.s work we demonstrate th.t cardiovascular OCT can be used to detect individual cells suspended in biocompatible fluids. Importantly, th. combination of th.s cath.ter-based clinical tech.ique with.gold nanosh.lls （GnSs） as intracellular contrast agents led to a substantial enh.ncement in th. backscattered signal produced by individual cells. Th.s cellular contrast enh.ncement was attributed to th. large backscattering cross-section of GnSs at th. OCT laser wavelength.（1,300 nm）. A simple intensity analysis of OCT cross-sectional images of suspended cells makes it possible to identify th. sub-population of living cells th.t successfully incorporated GnSs. Th. generalizability of th.s meth.d was demonstrated using two different cell lines （h.La and Jurkat cells）. Th.s work provides novel insigh.s into cardiovascular molecular imaging using specifically modified GnSs.

Infiltration,as a major component of th. h.drological cycle,plays an important role in ecosystems,river flooding,and soil ***,th.s process h.s been studied on different soils,with.different vegetation cover,and under different climate ***,it is still necessary to know h.w infiltration rates depend on land degradation,vegetation cover,forest management,and forest restoration,since soil infiltration is related to soil h.drological function and h.drological ecosystem *** aim of our study is to analyze th. way reforestation and ch.ck dam construction h.ve h.lped to improve soil infiltration rates in comparison with.old,degraded land,different soils and vegetation covers in Central ***,th.ee infiltration tests were carried out by means of a simple meth.crylate infiltrometer ring,in four sampling plots,for five types of land use:(i) native h.lm oak forest,(ii) 60-year-old reforested pine wood,(iii) sh.ubs,(iv) sediment wedges of ch.ck dams,and(v) gullies and degraded *** results sh.w much.h.gh.r infiltration rates in th. soil of 60-yearold pine reforestation sites(1198.00 mm·h.(-1)),and in th. sediment wedges of ch.ck dams(1088.00 mm·h.(-1)),th.n in th.se of degraded h.llslopes(365.00 mm·h.(-1)) and sh.ubland(420.80 mm·h.(-1)).Th. rates were also sh.wn to be close to th.se from th. remaining patch.s of native h.lm oak woodland(770.40 mm·h.(-1)).We also found th.t organic matter,h.mus and litter depth.and h.igh. of vegetation and cover,all improve soil infiltration rates,wh.le slope degree,presence of coarse elements,stoniness,clay content,bulk density,and electric conductivity inh.bit th. *** was additionally seen th.t pine reforestation and ch.ck dam construction caused degraded land to recover its h.drological conditions to a level th.t is quite close to th.t of th. ancient oak h.lm native forest,alongside ameliorating th. h.drological cycle in th. *** information will be very useful for decisi

As part of an ongoing inventory of th. h.lminth.parasites of fresh.ater fish.s in Mexico, 570 individual fish.were collected between Apr 2008 and Oct 2011 in 26 localities along th. Cuatro Ciénegas region in Coah.ila State, north.rn Mexico. Seventeen species of h.sts, mostly corresponding to nearctic fresh.ater elements, were studied. A total of 8324 individual worms were collected during th.s survey, representing 25 species of h.lminth., of wh.ch.9 were digeneans, 3 monogeneans, 3 acanth.ceph.lans, 9 nematodes and 1 cestode. Most of th. records in th.s ch.cklist represent new h.st or locality records. Th. information provided in th.s ch.cklist may be h.lpful for our understanding of th. biodiversity and h.storical biogeograph. of th.s h.st-parasite system, because in th. Cuatro Ciénegas region occur a nearctic fresh.ater fish.fauna, along with.neotropical and endemic elements, and from a biogeograph.cal point of view, th.s may represent a transitional area.

Background Recent ch.nges in climatic trends are resulting in an increased frequency and intensity of extreme events, with.unknown effect on ecosystem dynamics in th. near future. Extreme drough. episodes are recognized as disturbance factors capable of modifying forest dynamics and tree growth. With.n th.s context, dioecious tree species may be impacted by climatic extremes, affecting male/female proportions and, consequently, reproductive processes and species persistence. Th.refore, th.re is an urgent need for species-specific assessments of growth.tolerance to extreme dry spells in dioecious tree species, to establish.effective conservation strategies for th.se particular natural resources. Araucaria araucana(araucaria), an endangered dioecious Patagonian tree species, h.s recently undergone decay and mortality episodes in response to increasing dry climatic conditions. Wh.le sex-dependent tolerance to extreme drough. episodes h.s been assessed in th. species' h.mid distribution range, th.re is still a lack of information on th. gender-based resilience of trees growing in th. drier environments of th. species' *** We reconstructed, th.ough.dendroch.onological meth.ds, th. sex-dependent response of 105 araucaria individuals(55 female and 50 male trees) to five regional extreme dry spells employing a set of different indices.
