In the present work we develop an electrochemical assisted method to form nanopores on the surface of highly oriented pyrolytic graphite(HOPG),which was accomplished by a simple electrochemical route and a scalable nanomaterial,carbon nanodots,without applying high voltages,high temperatures or toxic *** electrodes are in a solution of n-enrich carbon nanodots in acidic media and the potential scans applied on HOPG lead to the formation of a spatially inhomogeneous porous *** diameter of the resulting nanopores can be tuned by controlling the number of electrochemical reduction *** resulting nanoporous surfaces are characterized by atomic force microscopy,Raman spectroscopy,scanning electrochemical microscopy,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and *** nanoporous HOPG showed high *** the potential of these surfaces to the development of energy storage devices is demonstrated.

Because of the presence of modified warp factors in metric tensors,we use deformed AdS5 spaces to apply the AdS/CFT correspondence to calculate the spectra for even and odd glueballs,scalar and vector mesons,and baryons with different *** the glueball cases,we derive their Regge trajectories and compare them with those related to the pomeron and the *** the scalar and vector mesons,as well as baryons,the determined masses are compatible with the *** particular,for these hadrons we found Regge trajectories compatible with another holographic approach as well as with the hadronic spectroscopy,which present an universal Regge slope of approximately 1.1 GeV^2.

Background:The dynamics and structure of many bird communities are changing due to the global warming and changes in the land use and *** Ebro Valley constitutes one of the chief wintering areas for several passerine species in Iberia,and the reed beds spread across this Valley concentrate huge numbers of birds that use them to roost,while the surrounding agricultural areas serve as main foraging *** aims of this work are(1)to quantify how variable a non-breeding passerine bird community associated to a reed bed area in the Ebro Valley is,and,(2)to test for the effect of weather on possible annual fluctuations in species’proportions at a regional/local ***:We used for that ringing data collected at Badina de Escudera lagoon(navarra)over a 12-year ***:Though,overall,the assemblage did not vary strongly among years(most similarity values were>0.8),we still found a significant linear effect of year on the proportion of captures of Reed Buntings(Emberiza schoeniclus),i.e.,the dominant species detected in our passerine *** increasing loss of weight of Reed Buntings in the community was due to a progressive decrease in its ***:The structure and diversity of passerine community in Badina Escudera was not influenced by meteorological conditions at a local scale,suggesting that local weather would not have an impact on numbers of Reed Buntings in winter.

Sarcomas constitute a rare heterogeneous group of tumors,including a wide variety of histological *** advances in our understanding of the pathophysiology of the disease,first-line sarcoma treatment options are still limited and new treatment approaches are *** H2AX phosphorylation is a sensitive marker for double strand breaks and has recently emerged as biomarker of DnA damage for new drug *** this study,we explored the role of H2AX phosphorylation at Ser139 alone or in combination with MAP17 protein,an inducer of DnA damage through ROS increase,as prognostic biomarkers in sarcoma ***,we proposed doxorubicin and olaparib combination as potential therapeutic strategies against sarcomas displaying high level of both *** evaluate retrospectively the levels of pH2AX(Ser139)and MAP17 in a cohort of 69 patients with different sarcoma types and its relationship with clinical and pathological *** found that the levels of pH2AX and MAP17 were related to clinical features and poor ***,we pursued PARP1 inhibition with olaparib to potentiate the antitumor effect of DnA damaging effect of the DnA damaging agent doxorubicin to achieve an optimal synergy in *** demonstrated that the combination of olaparib and doxorubicin was synergistic in vitro,inhibiting cell proliferation and enhancing pH2AX intranuclear accumulation,as a result of DnA *** synergism was corroborated in patient-derived xenografts(PDX)where the combination was effective in tumors with high levels of pH2AX and MAP17,suggesting that both biomarkers might potentially identify patients who better benefit from this combined therapy.

Hyperspectral(HS)image classification plays a crucial role in numerous areas including remote sensing(RS),agriculture,and the monitoring of the *** band selection in HS images is crucial for improving the efficiency and accuracy of image *** process involves selecting the most informative spectral bands,which leads to a reduction in data *** on these key bands also enhances the accuracy of classification algorithms,as redundant or irrelevant bands,which can introduce noise and lower model performance,are *** this paper,we propose an approach for HS image classification using deep Q learning(DQL)and a novel multi-objective binary grey wolf optimizer(MOBGWO).We investigate the MOBGWO for optimal band selection to further enhance the accuracy of HS image *** the suggested MOBGWO,a new sigmoid function is introduced as a transfer function to modify the wolves’*** primary objective of this classification is to reduce the number of bands while maximizing classification *** evaluate the effectiveness of our approach,we conducted experiments on publicly available HS image datasets,including Pavia University,Washington Mall,and Indian Pines *** compared the performance of our proposed method with several state-of-the-art deep learning(DL)and machine learning(ML)algorithms,including long short-term memory(LSTM),deep neural network(Dnn),recurrent neural network(Rnn),support vector machine(SVM),and random forest(RF).Our experimental results demonstrate that the Hybrid MOBGWO-DQL significantly improves classification accuracy compared to traditional optimization and DL ***-DQL shows greater accuracy in classifying most categories in both datasets *** the Indian Pine dataset,the MOBGWO-DQL architecture achieved a kappa coefficient(KC)of 97.68%and an overall accuracy(OA)of 94.32%.This was accompanied by the lowest root mean square error(RMSE)of 0.94,indicating very precise

Laboratory pull-out tests on fully grouted rock bolts and cable bolts:Results and lessons learned

Laboratory pull-out tests were conducted on the following rock bolts and cable bolts:steel rebars,smooth steel bars,fiberglass reinforced polymer threaded bolts,flexible cable bolts,IR5/In special cable bolts and Mini-cage cable *** diameter of the tested bolts was between 16 mm and 26 *** bolts were grouted in a sandstone sample using resin or cement *** tests were conducted under either constant radial stiffness or constant confining pressure boundary conditions applied on the outer surface of the rock *** most tests,the rate of displacement was about 0.02 mm/*** tests were performed using a pull-out bench that allows testing a wide range of *** paper provides an extensive database of laboratory pull-out test results and confirms the influence of the confining pressure and the embedment length on the pull-out response(rock bolts and cable bolts).It also highlights the sensitivity of the results to the operating conditions and to the behavior of the sample as a whole,which cannot be neglected when the test results are used to assess the bolt-grout or the grouterock interface.
