Despite over fifty years of research on shock wave boundary layer effects and interactions,many related technical issues continue to be controversial and *** present survey provides an overview of the present state of knowledge on such effects and interactions,including discussions of:(i)general features of shock wave interactions,(ii)test section configurations for investigation of shock wave boundary layer interactions,(iii)origins and sources of unsteadiness associated with the interaction region,(iv)interactions which included thermal transport and convective heat transfer,and(v)shock wave interaction control *** particular interest are origins and sources of low-frequency,large-scale shock wave unsteadiness,flow physics of shock wave boundary layer interactions,and overall structure of different types of *** is also provided in regard to shock wave investigations,where heat transfer and thermal transport were *** considered are investigations of shock wave interaction control strategies,which overall,indicate that no single shock wave control strategy is available,which may be successfully applied to different shock wave arrangements,over a wide range of Mach ***,the survey highlights the need for additional understanding of fundamental transport mechanisms,as related to shock waves,which are applicable to turbomachinery,aerospace,and aeronautical academic disciplines.

在芬兰奥托昆普不锈钢厂的2号连铸机上对固态结晶器保护渣渣层的演变作了研究。为研究固态保护渣渣层的形成,在不锈钢连铸的初期阶段,在保护渣中添加了氧化钡示踪剂。实验钢种牌号为美国钢铁学会标准304钢种。实验中,浇铸一炉钢水,尾坯输出时,在结晶器顶部提取固态渣层渣样。采用的取样方式可在钢液弯月面下方取得几乎和结晶器同样宽度,长度大约为25cm的一些大尺寸渣样。从这些渣样上提取3个与钢液弯月面距离各不相同的小渣样,然后对这3个小渣样进行X射线荧光光谱分析,检测氧化钡。有些情况下在大渣样的底部边缘处检测到了最高浓度的氧化钡。大渣样底部的氧化钡浓度较高意味着在浇铸初期,钢液弯月面附近已固化的保护渣渣层已向下移动。而在钢液弯月面附近的固态渣层中的氧化钡浓度更低,意味着由于结晶器顶部液态渣层中氧化钡的浓度已下降,渣层在浇铸期间形成的时间较晚。结晶器中固态渣层的形成及渣层在弯月面下方的破裂和再固化与氧化钡的浓度密切相关。

Laszlo Marton＇s Three Short Novels as a Translational Challenge

This paper deals with the problems encountered while translating the book of short novels M. L., a gyilkos （The Murderer L. M.）, written by the contemporary Hungarian author Lazlo Marton （b. 1959）. One of the most important reasons why the translator of this book （who also happens to be the author of this paper） has chosen to translate into Serbian this particular book, and not some other, more famous work of Marton, lies in the thematic, geocultural, and historical parallels with the Serbian context, which form the main fabular line of these short stories. The other, from the perspective of this paper, even more relevant reason for this translational choice can be found in the non-everyday challenge that Marton＇s hardly translatable style and language pose to the translator. This kind of a situation almost requires that the translator sacrifices formal fidelity to the original text and tries to find more creative solutions; in other words, it suggests choosing the principle of the so-called dynamic equivalence over the formal equivalence principle. In this respect, a special problem is the need to translate the so-called ＂talking names＂, a narrative trick with a great tradition in Hungarian literature. The aim of this paper is to try to answer, with the use of a representative corpus of examples, the following question： Is it possible and where can we draw limits in this author-translation related field of play, and what should be the level of consistency allowed to the translator, i.e., to what extent can he/she become the ＂coauthor＂of the translated work？

Antibiotic resistance and its environmental component are gaining more attention as part of combating the growing healthcare crisis. The One Health framework, promulgated by many global health agencies, recognizes that antimicrobial resistance is a truly inter-domain problem in which human health, animal agriculture, and the environment are the core and interrelated *** prospectus presents the status and issues relevant to the environmental component of antibiotic resistance, namely, the needs for advancing surveillance methodology: the environmental reservoirs and sources of resistance, namely, urban wastewater treatment plants, aquaculture production systems, soil receiving manure and biosolid, and the atmosphere which includes longer range ***, much work has been done describing antibiotic resistance genes in various environments;now quantitative, mechanistic,and hypothesis-driven studies are needed to identify practices that reduce real risks and maintain the effectiveness of our current antibiotics as long as possible. Advanced deployable detection methods for antibiotic resistance in diverse environmental samples are needed in order to provide the surveillance information to identify risks and define barriers that can reduce risks. Also needed are practices that reduce antibiotic use and thereby reduce selection for resistance, as well as practices that limit the dispersal of or destroy antibiotic-resistant bacteria or their resistance genes that are feasible for these varied environmental domains.

N-acetyl cysteine alters the genotoxic and estrogenic properties of Alternaria toxins in naturally occurring mixtures

It is unclear if complex mycotoxin mixtures produced by Alternaria *** estrogenic and/or genotoxic under physiological conditions,particularly considering the co-occurrence with antioxidants in ***,this study focused on enlightening the impact of N-acetyl cysteine(NAC),as a representative antioxidative SH-donor,on the mentioned toxicological endpoints of the signature Alternaria toxins alternariol(AOH),altertoxin-II(ATX-II)and a complex extract(Ce)of an Alternaria alternata *** Ishikawa cells as an in vitro model,we monitored alterations in toxin concentrations by LC-MS/MS,estrogenicity by alkaline phosphatase assays,cytotoxicity by sulforhodamine B assays,genotoxicity by single-cell gel electrophoresis and the transcription of selected genes of interest by quantitative realtime *** results indicate that the strong genotoxic effects of epoxide-carrying perylene quinones such as ATX-II are erased in the presence of *** cellular effects of ATX-II/AOH mixtures are dominated by the genotoxicity of the perylene *** this mixture,AOH regained its estrogenicity when coincubated with *** contrast,NAC treatment of an AOH/Ce mixture did not result in a recovery of estrogenicity,but in potentiated anti-estrogenic *** findings were in line with gene transcription data,that indicated the aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR)to be a prime mediator of Alternaria toxin e induced antagonistic effects towards estrogen receptor *** together,further studies on potential endocrine-disruptive properties of non-genotoxic perylene quinones should be a future research priority in the field of these emerging contaminants.

Color polymorphism offers rich opportunities for studying the eco-evolutionary mechanisms that drive the adaptations of local populations to heterogeneous and changing *** explored the color morph diversity and composition in a Chrysomela lapponica leaf beetle across its entire distribution range to test the hypothesis that environmental and climatic variables shape spatiotemporal variation in the phenotypic structure of a polymorphic *** obtained information on 13617 specimens of this beetle from museums,private collections,and *** specimens(collected from 1830-2020)originated from 959 localities spanning 33°latitude,178°longitude,and 4200 m *** classified the beetles into five color morphs and searched for environmental factors that could explain the variation in the level of polymorphism(quantified by the Shannon diversity index)and in the relative frequencies of individual color *** highest level of polymorphism was found at high latitudes and *** color morphs differed in their climatic requirements;composition of colour morphs was independent of the geographic distance that separated populations but changed with collection year,longitude,mean July temperature and betweenyear temperature *** proportion of melanic beetles,in line with the thermal melanism hypothesis,increased with increasing latitude and altitude and decreased with increasing climate *** morph frequencies also declined during the past century,but only at high latitudes and altitudes where recent climate warming was especially *** observed patterns suggest that color polymorphism is especially advantageous for populations inhabiting unpredictable environments,presumably due to the different climatic requirements of coexisting color morphs.

目的探讨胰腺星状细胞(PSCs)和胰腺癌细胞(PCCs)在胰腺癌血管生成中的作用以及机制。方法采用实验研究方法。体外培养人PSCs、PCCs和人脐静脉内皮细胞(HUVeCs)。采用不同种类和浓度PSCs和(或)PCCs的上清液和基质金属蛋白酶(MMP)抑制剂处理HUVeC;以仅加入内皮细胞完全培养液(C/e组)和仅加入DMeM/Ham′s F12(D/F组)作为对照。观察指标:(1)不同条件下HUVeCs的增殖。(2)不同条件下HUVeCs的血管生成。(3)不同条件下HUVeCs的迁移。(4)PSCs和PCCs上清液中MMP‑2的表达水平。(5)MMP抑制剂GM6001对HUVeCs迁移的影响。正态分布的计量资料以x±s表示,多组间比较采用单因素方差分析,进一步两两比较采用LSD‑t检验。结果(1)不同条件下HUVeCs的增殖。5‑乙炔基‑2′脱氧尿嘧啶核苷(edU)掺入法检测HUVeCs增殖结果显示:D/F组,不同浓度(25%、50%、75%、95%)PSCs单培养上清液孵育HUVeCs的edU结合率分别为12.4%±1.0%,24.5%±2.9%、25.3%±3.0%、22.8%±2.0%、22.9%±2.8%,上述各组比较,差异有统计学意义(F=8.60,PeCs的edU结合率分别与D/F组比较,差异均有统计学意义(PeCs的edU结合率分别为12.4%±1.0%,30.0%±3.2%、32.1%±1.0%、32.3%±3.5%、26.2%±5.6%,上述各组比较,差异有统计学意义(F=11.93,PeCs的edU结合率分别与D/F组比较,差异均有统计学意义(PeCs的血管生成。D/F组、PSCs单培养上清液孵育HUVeCs血管生成的数量分别为(15.2±2.3)个、(49.7±3.2)个,血管总长度分别为(12.1±1.5)mm、(39.8±2.3)mm,两组上述指标比较,差异均有统计学意义(PeCs的迁移。单细胞追踪实验结果显示:不同浓度PSCs、PCCs单培养上清液孵育HUVeCs迁移速度均较D/F组增快,其增强效应呈剂量依赖性。不同比例PSCs和PCCs单培养物理混合上清液以及PSCs和PCCs共培养上清液孵育HUVeCs的迁移速度均较D/F组增快,且共培养条件下迁移速度高于单培育物理混合条件,呈现出协同效应。(4)PSCs和PCCs上清液中MMP‑2的表达水平。明胶酶谱法检测结果显示:MMP‑2表达水平由高到低依次为PSCs和PCCs共培养上清液、PSCs单培养上清液、PSCs和PCCs单培养物理混合上清液、PCCs单培养上清液。(5)MMP抑制剂GM6001对HUVeCs迁移的影响。单细胞示踪法结果显示:加入不同浓度(0、1、10、25μmol/L)GM6001后,PSCs单培养上清液孵育HUVeCs的迁移速度分别为(25.70±2.06)μm/h、(18.37±1.61)μm/h、(16.20±0.26)μm/h、(15.99±0.58)μm/h,上述各组比较,差异有统计学意义(F=11.39,PeCs的迁移速度分别与未加入GM6001比较,差异均有统计学意义(PeCs的迁移速度分别为(30.06±3.70)μm/h、(22.76±1.56)μm/h、(23.87±2.84)μm/h、(22.10±2.35)μm/h,上述各组比较,差异有统计学意义(F=4.06,PeCs的迁移速度分别与未加入GM6001比较,差异均有统计学意义(PeCs增殖、迁移和血管生成。PSCs和PCCs相互作用释放刺激内皮细胞重要因子MMP‑2,从而增加血管生成的刺激活性和内皮细胞迁移能力。

In this paper experimental data about the creep behavior of high strength low-alloy （HSLA, ASTM A618） steel are presented. For different elevated temperatures （Ti） tensile tests （σ?ε） are carried out and also for some of the mentioned elevated temperatures one-dimensional creep tests （ε-t） for different constant loads （Fi） are made. experiments are carried out using computer controlled 400 kN materials testing machine equipped by a high temperature furnace and a corresponding high temperature extensometer. These experiments belong to the testing material mechanical properties and viscoplastic responses of the material under consideration. The obtained results of material properties and creep behavior are necessary for determining e.g. the load-carrying capacity of a structure under fire conditions as well as for its lifetime prediction..

In this paper, a method for the evaluation of the influence of different polymer suspensions and environmental conditions on adhesion between an impregnated carbon fibre heavy tow and concrete for reinforcement will be proposed. For this purpose, the impregnation material itself was investigated as a polymer film before and after incubation in water and aqueous suspensions, such as NaOH and a cementitious solution, in terms of its thermal properties, swelling behaviour and morphology. Thin polymer films were manufactured and subsequently investigated with quantification of the swelling for 28 d by thermal and scanning electron microscope analysis. The effect of pull-out shear stress was evaluated to investigate parameters such as high temperature and moisture on adhesion to concrete. Contact angle measurements were used to determine the surface energy of the polymer films. All incubated polymer films yielded a change in both surface morphology and specific residues on the polymer film surface, e.g. in the form of calcium carbonate, but no change in glass-transition temperature. A high correlation between glass-transition temperature and measured shear stress was shown during single yarn pull-out tests. Furthermore, the water treatment of pull-out samples strengthened the influence for the glass-transition temperature during the adhesion test. No influence of the surface energy of the used polymer impregnation for carbon fibres on the pull-out test was detected.
