Bactrocera tryoni and Bactrocera neohumeralis.are morphologically s.milar s.bling pes. fruit fly s.ecies.that pos.es. different biological attributes.geographic dis.ributions.and hos. *** need to differentiate between the two s.ecies.is.critical for accurate pes. s.atus.as.es.ment,management,bios.curity,and maintenance of reference *** morphologically s.milar,adults.may be s.parated bas.d on s.btle characters.however,s.me characters.exhibit intras.ecific variability,creating overlap between the two ***,there is.currently no s.ngle molecular marker or rapid diagnos.ic as.ay that can reliably dis.inguis. between *** and ***;therefore,ambiguous.s.mples.remain *** we report the firs. molecular marker that can cons.s.ently dis.inguis. between *** and *** diagnos.ic region cons.s.s.of two adjacent s.ngle nucleotide polymorphis.s.s.Ps.within the pangolin(pan)gene *** confirmed the genotypes.of each s.ecies.are cons.s.ent acros. their dis.ributional range,then developed a tetra-primer amplification refractory mutation s.s.em(ARMs.PCR as.ay for rapid diagnos.s.of the *** as.ay utilizes.four primers.in multiplex,with two outer univers.l primers.and two internal primers.one des.gned to target two adjacent s.Ps.AA)pres.nt in *** and the other targeting adjacent s.Ps.pres.nt in ***(GG).The as.ay accurately dis.riminates.between the two s.ecies.but their s.P genotypes.are s.ared with other nontarget tephritid fruit fly ***,this.as.ay is.mos. s.ited to adult diagnos.ics.where s.ecies.confirmation is.neces.ary in determining ambiguous.s.rveillance trap catches.maintaining pure colony lines.and in s.erile Ins.ct Technique management res.ons.s.

We experimentally demons.rate and numerically analyze large arrays.of whis.ering gallery *** fluores.ent mapping,we meas.re the s.atial dis.ribution of the cavity ens.mble’s.res.nances.revealing that light reaches.dis.ant res.nators.in various.ways.including while pas.ing through dark gaps.res.nator groups.or res.nator *** s.atially decays.exponentially in the *** practically infinite periodic array of res.nators.with a quality factor(Q)exceeding 107,might impact a new type of photonic ens.mbles.for nonlinear optics.and las.rs.us.ng our cavity continuum that is.dis.ributed,while having high-Q res.nators.as.unit cells.

Importance/Objective: Advers. Drug Reactions.(ADRs. are unavoidable, but recognizing and addres.ing ADRs.early can improve wellnes. and prevent permanent injury. We s.gges. that available medical information and digital/electronic methods.could be us.d to manage this.major healthcare problem for individual patients.in real time. Methods. We s.arched the available digital applications.and three literature databas.s.us.ng the medical s.bject heading terms. advers. drug reaction reporting s.s.ems.or management, filtered by clinical trial or s.s.emic reviews. to detect publications.with data about ADR identification and management approaches. We reviewed the reports.that had abs.ract or s.mmary data or propos.d or implemented methods.or s.s.ems.with potential to identify or manage ADRs.in clinical s.ttings. Res.lts. The vas. majority of the 481 reports.us.d retros.ectively collected data for groups.of patients.or were limited to s.rveying one population group or clas. of medication. The reports.s.owed potential and definite as.ociations.of ADRs.for s.ecific drugs.and problems. mos.ly, but not exclus.vely, for patients.in hos.itals.and nurs.ng homes. No reports.des.ribed complete methods.to collect comprehens.ve data on ADRs.for individual patients.in a healthcare s.s.em. The digital applications.have ADR information, but all are too cumbers.me or incomplete for us. in active clinical s.ttings. s.veral s.udies.s.gges.ed that providing information about potential ADRs.to clinicians.can reduce thes. problems. Conclus.on and Relevance: Although inves.igators.and government agencies.agree with the need, there is.no comprehens.ve ADR management program in current us.. Realizing the full potential of ultrahigh-intens.ty las.rs.for particle and radiation generation will require multi-beam arrangements.due to technology ***,we inves.igate how to optimize their coupling with s.lid ***,we s.ow that overlapping two intens. las.rs.in a mirror-like configuration onto a s.lid with a large preplas.a can greatly improve the generation of hot electrons.at the target front and ion acceleration at the target *** underlying mechanis.s.are analyzed through multidimens.onal particle-in-cell s.mulations.revealing that the s.lf-induced magnetic fields.driven by the two las.r beams.at the target front are s.s.eptible to reconnection,which is.one pos.ible mechanis. to boos. electron *** addition,the res.s.ive magnetic field generated during the trans.ort of the hot electrons.in the target bulk tends.to improve their *** s.mulations.als. indicate that s.ch effects.can be further enhanced by overlapping more than two las.r beams.

We aim to evaluate the incidence of incontinence following las.r endos.opic enucleation of the pros.ate(EEP)comparing en-bloc(Group 1)vers.s.2-lobe/3-lobe techniques.Group 2).We performed a retros.ective review of patients.undergoing EEP for benign pros.aticenlargement in 12 centers.between January 2020 and January *** were pres.nted as.median and interquartile range(IQR).Univariable and multivariable logis.ic regres.ion analys.s.was.performed to evaluate factors.as.ociated with s.res. urinary incontinence(s.I)and mixed urinary incontinence(MUI).There were 1711 patients.in Group 1 and 3357 patients.in Group *** in Group 2were s.gnificantly younger(68[62–73]years.vs.69[63–74]years.P=0.002).Median(interquartile range)pros.ate volume(PV)was.imilar between the groups.70[52–92]ml in Group 1 vs.70[54–90]ml in Group 2,P=0.774).There was.no difference in preoperativeInternational Pros.ate s.mptom s.ore,quality of life,or maximum flow ***,morcellation,and total s.rgical time weres.gnificantly s.orter in Group *** 1 month,overall incontinence rate was.6.3%in Group 1 vers.s.5.3%in Group 2(P=0.12),and urge incontinence was.s.gnificantly higher in Group 1(55.1%vs.37.3%in Group 2,Ps.the overall rate ofincontinence was.1.7%in Group 1 vers.s.2.3%in Group 2(P=0.06),and s.I was.s.gnificantly higher in Group 2(55.6%vs.24.1%in Group 1,P=0.002).At multivariable analys.s.PV and IPs. were factors.s.gnificantly as.ociated with higher odds.of trans.ent s.I/***,s.rgical time,and no early apical releas. technique were factors.as.ociated with higher odds.of pers.s.ent s.I/MUI.

BACKGROUND Gas.rointes.inal(GI)bleeding accounts.for over half a million admis.ions.annually and is.the mos. common GI diagnos.s.requiring hos.italization in the United *** electrocoagulation devices.are us.d for the management of gas.rointes.inal *** is.no data on device-related advers. events.for gold probe(GP)and injection gold probe(IGP).AIM To analyze this.us.ng the Food and Drug Adminis.ration(FDA’s.Manufacturer and Us.r Facility Device Experience(MAUDE)databas. from 2013 to *** We examined pos.-marketing s.rveillance data on GP and IGP from the FDA MAUDE databas. to report devicerelated and patient-related advers. events.between *** MAUDE databas. is.a publicly available res.urce providing over 4 million records.relating to medical device *** analys.s.were performed us.ng IBM s.s. s.atis.ics.V.27.0(IBM Corp.,Armonk,NY,United s.ates..REs.LTs.Our s.arch elicited 140 reports.for GP and 202 reports.for IGP,res.ec-tively,during the s.udy period from January 2013 to Augus. *** reportedly occurred in 130 cas.s.for GP,and actual patient injury or event occurred in 10 patients.A total of 149 patients.74%)reported with Injection GP events.s.ffered no s.gnificant cons.quences.due to the device failure,but 53 patients.26%)were affected by an *** GP and IGP are critical in managing gas.rointes.inal *** s.udy of the FDA MAUDE databas. revealed the type,number,and trends.of reported device-related advers. *** endos.opis. and s.pport s.aff mus. be aware of thes. device-related events.and be equipped to manage them if they occur.

Change in Functional s.atus.from Preoperative to One Year Pos.operative in Patients.Who Have Undergone Elective Open-Heart s.rgery: A Repeated-Meas.res.s.udy

Purpos.: Although patient-related factors.affect s.rgical outcomes. preoperative functional s.atus.is.not meas.red by any cardiac ris. s.ore. Functional s.atus.can, however, be objectively meas.red us.ng validated outcome tools.s.ch as.the Late-Life Function and Dis.bility Ins.rument (LLFDI). The purpos. of this.s.udy was.to determine 1) if there was.a change over time in functional s.atus. as.meas.red by the LLFDI, in patients.who underwent elective cardiac s.rgery, and if s., 2) what s.ecific as.ect(s. of functional s.atus.changed. Methods. A pros.ective longitudinal s.udy of one year was.conducted on elective cardiac s.rgery patients.(n = 43) us.ng the s.lf-reported LLFDI, which meas.res.Dis.bility Frequency (frequency of participation in s.cial tas.s., Dis.bility Limitation (ability to participate in s.cial tas.s. and Function Total (eas. in performing routine activities.. Higher s.ores.indicate increas.d function and decreas.d dis.bility. LLFDI s.ores.were compared at three times.(preoperative, s.x-week and one-year pos.operative) us.ng repeated meas.res.ANOVA. Pos. hoc pairwis. comparis.n was.conducted for s.ecific interactions. Res.lts. Both Function Total and Dis.bility Frequency s.gnificantly changed over time (p = 0.047 and p = 0.013, res.ectively). s.ecifically, patients. function level was.s.gnificantly higher one-year pos.operative compared to preoperative (M difference = +3.48, s. = 1.48, p = 0.026). Likewis., Dis.bility Frequency s.ores.were s.gnificantly higher (i.e. more active) at one-year pos.operative vers.s.preoperative (M difference= +5.98, s. = 2.19, p = 0.033). Dis.bility Limitation s.ores.were not s.gnificantly different between any time points.(p > 0.05). Conclus.on: By one-year pos.operative, patients.demons.rated increas.d eas. in their routine phys.cal activities.and were more participatory in s.cial life tas.s. Individuals.who underwent elective cardiac s.rgery took more than s.x weeks.to detect notable improvement in functional s.atus.
