Dairy farm management is crucial to maintain the longevity of the farm,and poor dairy youngstock or calf management could lead to gradually deteriorating calf health,which often causes premature *** was found to be the most neglected part among the management workflows in Malaysia and has caused continuous loss over the recent *** posture recognition is one of the effective methods to monitor calf behaviour and health state,which can be achieved by monitoring the calf behaviours of standing and lying where the former depicts active calf,and the latter,passive *** posture recognition module is an important component of some automated calf monitoring systems,as the system requires the calf to be in a standing posture before proceeding to the next stage of monitoring,or at the very least,to monitor the activeness of the *** posture such as standing or resting can easily be distinguished by human eye,however,to be recognized by a machine,it will require more complicated frameworks,particularly one that involves a deep learning neural networks *** number of highquality images are required to train a deep learning model for such *** this paper,multiple ConvolutionalNeuralNetwork(CNN)architectures were compared,and the residual network(ResNet)model(specifically,ResNet-50)was ultimately chosen due to its simplicity,great performance,and decent inference *** ResNet-50 models having the exact same architecture and configuration have been trained on two different image datasets respectively sourced by separate cameras placed at different *** were two camera placements to use for comparison because camera placements can significantly impact the quality of the images,which is highly correlated to the deep learning model *** model training,the performance for both CNN models were 99.7%and 99.99%accuracies,respectively,and is adequate for a real-time calf monitoring system.

Stability and permanent displacements analysis of wasteland during earthquakes

According to the results of experiments on the municipal solid waste (MSW), a series of formula are deduced to calculate the leachate free-faced headline curve. By means of static and dynamic finite element method (FEM), the stability of a wasteland during earthquakes is analyzed. It is demonstrated that the positions of the most dangerous sliding surfaces during earthquakes are fairly stable. Based on the above findings, this paper developed the New-mark method by increasing the precision to reckon the permanent deformation of wastelands during earthquakes. The method presented in the paper is not only of great importance to instruct the anti-seismic design of wasteland, but also valuable to the design of ordinary dams and embankments.

Background and Aims:Pharmaceutical therapy for NASH is associated with lipid modulation,but the consensus on drug treatment is limited and lacks comparative analysis of effectiveness.A network meta-analysis was conducted to compare NASH drug classes in lipid ***:Online databases were searched for randomized controlled trails(RCTs)evaluating NASH treatments in biopsy-proven NASH *** were classified into four groups:(1)inflammation,(2)energy,(3)bile acids,and(4)fibro-sis based on the mechanism of action.A Bayesian network analysis was conducted with outcome measured by mean difference(MD)with credible intervals(Crl)and surface un-der the cumulative ranking curve(SUCRA).Results:Forty-four RCTs were included in the *** acid modulat-ing treatments(MD:0.05,Crl:0.03-0.07)were the best treatment for improvement in high-density lipid(HDL)cho-lesterol,followed by treatments modulating energy(MD:0.03,Crl:0.02-0.04)and fibrosis(MD:0.01,Crl:−0.12 to 0.14)compared with *** top three treatments for reduction in triglycerides were treatments modulating energy(MD:−0.46,Crl:−0.49 to−0.43),bile acids(MD:−0.22,Crl:−0.35 to−0.09),and inflammation(MD:−0.08,Crl:−0.13 to−0.03)compared with *** found treatment modulating fibrosis(MD:−1.27,Crl:−1.76 to−0.79)was the best treatment for reduction in low-density lipid(LDL)cholesterol followed by treatment modulating in-flammation(MD:−1.03,Crl:−1.09 to−0.97)and energy(MD:−0.37,Crl:−0.39 to−0.34)compared with placebo,but LDL cholesterol was worsened by treatments modulat-ing bile ***:Network analysis comparing the class effects of dyslipidemia modulation in NASH found that treatment targets can include optimization of athero-genic *** studies are required to evaluate the cardiovascular outcomes.

Background:Bariatric surgery represents an important treatment option for severely obese patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).However,there remains inadequate data regarding the effects of different bariatric procedures on various NAFLD parameters,especially for histological ***,this meta-analysis aimed to compare the effects of restrictive bariatric procedures and foregut bypass on the metabolic,biochemical,and histological parameters for patients with ***:Medline and Embase were searched for articles relating to bariatric procedures and *** meta-analysis was conducted to compare efficacy of bariatric procedures ***-procedure with subgroup analysis to further compare restrictive against foregut bypass ***:Thirty-one articles involving 3,355 patients who underwent restrictive bariatric procedures(n=1,460)and foregut bypass(n=1,895)were *** foregut bypass(Phan restrictive procedures(P=0.01)while restrictive procedures resulted in significantly lower alanine transaminase than foregut bypass(P=0.02).Conclusions:The significant histological and metabolic advantages and comparable improvements in biochemical outcomes support the choice of foregut bypass over restrictive bariatric procedures in NAFLD management.

Background:Outcomes after liver resection(LR)and liver transplantation(LT)for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)are heterogenous and may vary by region,over time periods and disease *** aimed to compare overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS)between LT versus LR for HCC within the Milan ***:Two authors independently searched Medline and Embase databases for studies comparing survival after LT and LR for patients with HCC meeting the Milan ***-analyses and meta-regression were conducted using random-effects ***:We screened 2,278 studies and included 35 studies with 18,421 *** was associated with poorer OS[hazard ratio(HR)=1.44;95%confidence interval(CI):1.14-1.81;Pwent enhanced surveillance had comparable OS after LT and LR(P=0.33),but cohorts undergoing usual surveillance had worse OS after LR(HR=1.95;95%CI:1.24-3.07;P<0.01).Conclusions:Mortality after LR for HCC is nearly 50%higher compared to *** between LR and LT were similar in uninodular *** risk of recurrence after LR is threefold that of LT.

LYVE-1 (also termed CRSBP-1), a 120-kDa disulfide-linked dimeric type I membrane glycoprotein, is a specific marker for lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs) and exhibits multiple ligand (hyaluronic acid and growth factors/cytokines) binding activity in mammals. Recent studies indicate that LYVE-1/CRSBP-1 ligands (VEGF-A165, PDGF-BB, oligopeptides containing the cell-surface retention sequence (CRS) motifs of VEGF-A165 and PDGF-BB) induce opening of lymphatic intercellular junctions in vitro and in vivo. To determine the function of the ortholog of mammalian LYVE-1 in zebrafish, we cloned it (zLyve-1). The cloned cDNA (zLyve1) encodes a 328-amino-acid type I membrane glycoprotein. The protein and genomic structure evidence supports the notion that the cloned zLyve-1 is the ortholog of LYVE-1 in zebrafish. zLyve-1 expressed in cultured cells by transfection exhibits hyaluronic acid binding activity but lacks the growth factor binding activity seen in mammalian homologs. Knockdown of zLyve-1 levels by embryo microinjection with a specific antisense morpholino oligonucleotide (MO2) in wild-type and Tg(fli1:EGFP)-transgenic zebrafish causes defects in thoracic duct (TD) formation. Such zebrafish injected with MO2 also exhibit impaired TD flow (as determined by intramuscular injection of FITC-dextran). The phenotypes in these zebrafish injected with MO2 are reversed by co-injection with zLyve1cDNA. In situ hybridization reveals that zLyve-1 is expressed in the posterior cardinal vein (PCV). Expression of zLyve-1 at the highest level in the PCV occurs at 3 dpf which coincides with the time for TD formation in zebrafish development. These results suggest that zLyve-1 is required for TD formation. They also suggest that zLyve-1 is distinct from mammalian LYVE-1 in its role in lymphatic function.

为了探讨金黄色葡萄球菌的氟喹诺酮耐药性与grlA、grlB基因突变的关系,从52株野生型金黄色葡萄球菌中筛选出1株对氟喹诺酮敏感的金黄色葡萄球菌,对其进行耐药诱导,获得一系列不同氟喹诺酮耐药水平的金黄色葡萄球菌,并对其grlA、grlB基因进行PCR扩增、测序及序列分析。结果表明,金黄色葡萄球菌的氟喹诺酮耐药性与grlB基因突变无关,而与grlA的丝氨酸(Ser)80→苯丙氨酸(Phe)和谷氨酸(Glu)84→赖氨酸(Lys)突变密切相关。金黄色葡萄球菌grlA的80位氨基酸和84位氨基酸双突变是其氟喹诺酮耐药性提高的标志之一。

为给分析判断雷击线路杆塔号、雷击形式及实现快速定位提供充分的依据,研究了一种雷击输电线路和避雷针的雷电流全参数在线监测系统,采用罗氏电流传感器和前置机,配合GPRS公共平台远端传输接收数据,首次得到了雷击杆塔的电流波形、幅值、极性和雷击点位置。此外,还研究了线路用带间隙避雷器的运行寿命和配网避雷器运行状态的在线监测指示器,其中采用大电流通过次数的计数方法以确定带间隙避雷器的剩余寿命,设计的状态指示器的起始动作电流<100A,大电流时能可靠动作,告警和吊牌复位机构满足可靠性要求。配网避雷器采用阻性电流分量作为检测对象,当检测到的阻性电流达到设定阈值时,装置将自动发出双重故障指示。在多个变电站实际运行的结果表明:该装置动作可靠、标识明确、使用方便,减少了检修和停电导致的经济损失,提高了配电网的供电可靠性。
