Bimetallic nanoparticles are often superior candidates for a wide range of technological and biomedical applications owing to their enhanced catalytic,optical,and magnetic properties,which are often better than their monometallic *** of their properties strongly depend on their chemical composition,crystallographic structure,and phase ***,little is known of how their crystal structure,on the nanoscale,transforms over time at elevated temperatures,even though this knowledge is highly relevant in case nanoparticles are used in,e.g.,high-temperature ***-Fe is a promising bimetallic system where the low-cost and magnetic Fe is combined with catalytically active and plasmonic ***,we report on the in s/fi;temporal evolution of the crystalline ordering in Au-Fe nanoparticles,obtained from a modern laser ablation in liquids *** in-depth analysis,complemented by dedicated atomistic simulations,includes a detailed structural characterization by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy as well as atom probe tomography to reveal elemental distributions down to a single atom *** show that the Au-Fe nanoparticles initially exhibit highly complex internal nested nanostructures with a wide range of compositions,phase distributions,and size-depended *** elevated temperature induces a diffusion-controlled recrystallization and phase merging,resulting in the formation of a single face-centered-cubic ultrastructure in contact with a body-centered cubic phase,which demonstrates the metastability of these *** these unique nanostructures with nested features could be highly attractive from a fundamental viewpoint as they could give further insights into the nanoparticle formation mechanism under non-equilibrium ***,the in situ evaluation of the crystal structure changes upon heating is potentially relevant for high-temperature process utilization of bimetallic na

Investments of Milk Processing Capacities from Romania, through the Funds Provided by the ＂NPRD 2014-2020＂

In this paper, an analysis of the possibilities of development of milk processing activity was made, using as financing source the public funds provided by the Common Agricultural Policy and the distribution of the investments in Romania. All the EU member states gain 99.6 billion through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the period 2014-2020, of which Romania has received the total of 8.128 billion euros. Through the 2014-2020 National Rural Development Program （NRDP 2014-2020）, sub-measure 4.2 ＂Support for investment in processing/marketing of agricultural products＂（2014）, Romania is falling Regulation （EC） 1305/2013 in measure 4 ＂Investments in physical assets＂（2013） and contributes to increasing the value added of products on local markets and inter-professional organizations, the establishment and development of small businesses and job creation. Until now, in the milk processing sector, investments of 93,918,043 euros were made, about 50% （47,667.41 euros） of which from public funds.

On a Discrete Version of the Mohr-Mascheroni Theorem

We study the global (in time) existence of nonnegative solutions of the Gierer-Meinhardt system with mixed boundary conditions. In the research, the Robin boundary and Neumann boundary conditions were used on the activator and the inhibitor conditions respectively. Based on the priori estimates of solutions, the considerable results were obtained.

Laser induced fluorescence study on the growth of maize plants

The laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectra from plants give accurate information on the influences of ultraviolet A (UV-A) and ultraviolet B (UV-B) radiation on the growth of maize plants. In this paper, a thorough LIF study has been done on maize plants grown under controlled conditions. The maize (Zea mays) seeds were planted and exposed to UV-A and UV-B radiation from 0 to10 hours. The decrease in the ratios of peaks of LIF confirm a decrease in the height, diameter of stem, number of leaves in the plants exposed to UV-B and UV-A with the increase in the time of exposure.

Use of Affordable Materials to Improve Water Quality in Peri-Urban Settlements in Windhoek, Namibia

Water samples from Daan Viljoen dam, Avis dam and Goreangab dam were collected and filtered with burlap, cotton and polyester. The water samples were analyzed for the presence of total coliform, Escherichia coli, heterotrophic plate count (HPC), somatic coliphage, Clostridium perfringens, turbidity and conductivity. The bacteriological analysis was carried out by membrane filtration and pour plate techniques. The water from the three dams was found to contain high levels of microorganisms which indicated that it was not safe for human consumption. Turbidity was improved after filtration. Cotton filtered out the most microorganisms (p < 0.05) in all dams compared with the other two types of cloths.

Objective:To sereen methanol and dichloromethane extracts of stem bark of Pterocarpus erinaceus for anti-inflammatory,*** vitro antioxidant activities and phytochemical ***:Anti-inflammatory activity was detcrmined by using carrageenan inducededema of mice paw and croton oil-induced edema of mice ear:analgesic effect was evaluated using acetic acid-induced *** screening of extracts was performed by thin layer *** chromatographic fractionation led to the isolation of main active components as *** and *** structures were established hy TLC and nuclear magnetic resonance ***:Both methanol and dichloromethane extracts, *** and epicatechin showed a significant anti—inflammatory effect using croton oil induced—ear ***,the action of dichloroinethane extract was more important. At the doses of 100 and 200 mg/*** methanol extract was able to reduce the carrageeuan induced-hind paw edema,while al the doses of 100.200 and 400 mg/*** showed an important analgesic effect against writhing induced by acetic acid injection of 38.8%.68.0%and 74.3%, *** properties of methanol extract and its dichloromethane and ethyl acetate fractions were assessed by using the 1,1—diphenyl—2—picrylhydrazyl *** methanol extract showed the stronger radical scavenging activity than dichloromethane and ethyl acetate fractions,with an antiradical power of 5.3.5 and 2 *** main components isolated from these extracts as friedelin,lupeol and epicathechin were responsible of these ***:The results suggest that the stem hark extracts of Pterocarpus erinaceus possessed important *** activities and strong antioxidant properties, therefore,they could he used as natural potential ingredients for pharma ceutical industry.
