Dear Editor,I would like to report a case of late traumatic flap dislocation seven years after uncomplicated femtosecond laser-assisted laser in situ keratomileusis(Femto-LASIK).Postoperative laser-assisted laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK)flap dislocation occurs in approximately 1%-2%of patients,and the greatest risk of non-traumatic flap shift occurs within the first post-operative day after the surgery,presumably as a result of a mechanical trauma[1-3].

BAcKGROUND Liver transplantation for the most critically ill remains controversial;however,it is currently the only curative treatment *** To assess immediate posttransplant outcomes and compare the short(1 year)and long-term(6 years)posttransplant survival among cirrhotic patients stratified by disease *** We included cirrhotic patients undergoing liver transplantation between 2015 and 2019 and categorized them into compensated cirrhosis(cc),decompensated cirrhosis(Dc),and acute-on-chronic liver failure(AcLF).AcLF was further divided into severity *** primary outcomes of interest were total days of intensive care unit(IcU)and hospital stay,development of complications and posttransplant survival at 1 and 6 *** 235 patients underwent liver transplantation(cc=11,Dc=129 and AcLF=95).Patients with AcLF had a significantly longer hospital stay[8.0(6.0-13.0)vs cc,6.0(3.0-7.0),and Dc 7.0(4.5-10.0);P=0.01]and developed more infection-related complications[47(49.5%),vs cc,1(9.1%)and Dc,38(29.5%);Pctively).AcLF patients stratified according to AcLF grade[AcLF-1 n=40(42.1%),AcLF-2 n=33(34.7%)and AcLF-3 n=22(23.2%)],had similar IcU and hospital stay length(P=0.68,P=0.54),as well as comparable frequencies of overall and infectious posttransplant complications(P=0.58,P=0.80).There was no survival difference between AcLF grades at 1 year and 6 years(P=0.40 and P=0.15).cONcLUSION Patients may benefit from liver transplantation regardless of the cirrhosis *** patients have a longer hospital stay and frequency of infectious complications;however,excellent,and comparable 1 and 6-year survival rates support their enlisting and transplantation including those with AcLF-3.

Tillage practices on sloping ground often result in unsustainable soil losses impairing soil functions such as crop productivity,water and nutrients storage,and soil organic carbon(SOc)sequestration.A sloping olive grove(10%)was planted in shallow gypsiferous soils in *** was managed by minimum tillage;the most frequent management practice in central *** consequences of erosion were studied in soil samples(at 0-10,10-20,and 20-30 cm depths)by analyzing SOc,available water and gypsum content,and by detecting spectral signatures using an ASD FieldSpecPro(R)VIS/*** Brightness index(BI),Shape index(FI),and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)were derived from the ASD spectral signatures and from remote sensing(Sentinel-2 image)*** development of these young olive trees was estimated from the measured diameter of the trunks(17±18 cm diameter).In 20-30 cm of the soil,the carbon stock(38±18 Mg ha-1)as well as the available water content(12±6%)was scarce,affecting the productivity of the olive *** above-mentioned indices obtained from the laboratory samples and the pixels of the Sentinel-2 image were significantly(pcorrelated,with a correlation coefficient of around *** BI was related to the gypsum content and the slope of the *** FI was related to the carbon and water *** NDVI derived from the satellite image identified the influence of soil degradation on the trees and the carbon *** spatialtemporal changes of the indices might help in tracking soil changes over time.

CLONING AND SEQUENCE ANALYSIS OF TWO SATELLITE RNAs FROM CUC...

cucumber mosaic virus （cMV） is a type member of the genus cucumovirus. cMV have divided genomes consisting of three positive single-strands RNAs and a subgenomic RNA 4, which is generated by transcription from RNA 3 and serves as messenger RNA for the viral capsid protein. Some isolates of cMV contain abundant amounts of a small RNA （satellite RNA）, which is dependent on viral genomic RNA for its replication and spread, and has no appreciable nucleotide sequence similarity with the viral RNA. cMV can infect over 800 species of plants and is an economically important pathogen of field-grown vegetables in many areas of the world. In this study, the original cucumber mosaic virus （cMV） PI isolate has been caused very mild symptoms on many plant species, after serial passages of inoculation in 5 years, it was found that cMV P1 caused moderate symptoms on several tobacco cultivars and tomato. The dsRNA purification product were used for electrophoresis in agarose gel and the result show that the amount of satellite RNA is much higher than genomic RNAs and subgenomic RNA. Primers were synthesized based on reported cMV satellite RNA sequences, and a specific band of approximately 350 bases in length was found. In cloning and screening we found more than 20 white clones and only two were selected for sequence analysis. cMV PI sat-1 was 100% homology with a sequence reported in 1995, and the other one （cMV PI sat-2） was a new satellite. cMV P1 sat-1 is a mild satellite with about 335nt and cMV PI sat-2 is a new satellite （necrotic satellite） with 394nt, it is not a mutation from cMV P1 sat-1 because there are several deletions. The two satellites shared about 90% sequence homology. The two sequenced satellite RNAs have at least one open reading frame （ORF）. cMV P1 sat-1 share an ORF starting at nucleotide 11 and terminating at nucleotide 169. cMV P1 sat-2 has an ORF starting at residue 369 and terminating at residue 394, a second one s

The following paper reports on a comparative study of the effects of two types of carbon nanotubes,namely multiwall(MWcNT)and single-wall(SWcNT)carbon nanotube,on the properties of 3D-printed parts produced with acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS)nanocomposites with various cNT loadings of5-10 wt.%.Quasi-static tensile properties and Vicat softening temperature of 3D-printed parts were enhanced with the increasing cNT *** highest enhancement in tensile properties was observed for the ABS/cNT nanocomposites at 10 wt.%filler loading.3D-printed ABS/SWcNT composites showed higher tensile modulus,better creep stability and higher Vicat ***,the strength of ABS/SWcNT 3D samples is relatively lower than that of ABS/*** addition,3D-printed parts exhibited anisotropic electrical conductive behaviour,which has a conductivity of through-layer of about2-3 orders of magnitude higher than *** highest conductivity of 3D-printed samples reached25.2 S/m,and 9.3 S/m for ABS/MWcNT and ABS/SWcNT composites at 10 wt.%,*** results obtained,*** successful fuse filament fabrication and the consequent electromechanical properties,confirm that these 3D printable nanocomposite could be properly utilized for the production,and application up to about 90°c,of thermoelectric devices and/or resistors for flexible circuits.

The transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)family plays major pleiotropic roles by regulating many physiological processes in development and tissue *** TGF-βsignaling pathway outcome relies on the control of the spatial and temporal expression of>500 genes,which depend on the functions of the Smad protein along with those of diverse modulators of this signaling pathway,such as transcriptional factors and ***(Sloan-Kettering Institute)and SnoN(Ski novel)are Smadinteracting proteins that negatively regulate the TGF-βsignaling pathway by disrupting the formation of R-Smad/Smad4 complexes,as well as by inhibiting Smad association with the p300/cBP *** Ski and SnoN transcriptional cofactors recruit diverse corepressors and histone deacetylases to repress gene *** TGF-β/Smad pathway and coregulators Ski and SnoN clearly regulate each other through several positive and negative feedback ***,these cross-regulatory processes finely modify the TGF-βsignaling outcome as they control the magnitude and duration of the TGF-β*** a result,any alteration in these regulatory mechanisms may lead to disease ***,the design of targeted therapies to exert tight control of the levels of negative modulators of the TGF-βpathway,such as Ski and SnoN,is critical to restore cell homeostasis under the specific pathological conditions in which these cofactors are deregulated,such as fibrosis and cancer.

In this study,we identiﬁed the moisture sources for the precipitation associated with tropical cyclones(Tcs)during the rapid intensiﬁcation(RI)process from 1980 to 2018 by applying a Lagrangian moisture source diagnostic *** detected sixteen regions on a global scale for RI events distributed as follows:four in the North Atlantic(NATL),two in the central and East Paciﬁc Ocean(NEPAc),the North Indian Ocean(NIO)and South Indian Ocean(SIO),and three in the South Paciﬁc Ocean(SPO)and the Western North Paciﬁc Ocean(WNP).The moisture uptake(MU)mostly was from the regions where Tcs underwent *** Western NATL,tropical NATL,caribbean Sea,the Gulf of Mexico and the central America and Mexico landmass supported~85.4%of the precipitating moisture in the NATL,while the latter source and the eastern North Paciﬁc Ocean provided the higher amount of moisture in NEPAc(~84.3%).The Arabian Sea,the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Peninsula were the major moisture sources in NIO,contributing approximately 81.3%.The eastern and western parts of the Indian Ocean supplied most of the atmospheric humidity in SIO(~83.8%).The combined contributions(~87.9%)from the western and central SPO and the coral Sea were notably higher in ***,Tcs in the WNP basin mostly received moisture from the western North Paciﬁc Ocean,the Philippine Sea and the china Sea,accounting for 80.1%.The remaining moisture support in each basin came from the summed contributions of the remote ***,RI Tcs gained more moisture up to 2500 km from the cyclone centre than those slow intensiﬁcation(SI)and the total MU was approximately three times higher during RI than ***,the patterns of the MU differences respond to the typical pathways of moisture transport in each basin.

The Ecuador Mw - 7.8 earthquake on April 16, 2016, ruptured a nearly 200 km long zone along the plate interface between Nazca and South American plates which is coincident with a seismic gap since 1942, when a Mw - 7.8 earthquake happened. This earthquake occurred at a margin characterized by moderately big to giant earthquakes such as the 1906 （Mw 8.8）. A heavily sedimented trench explains the abnormal lengths of the rupture zones in this system as inhibits the role of natural barriers on the propagation of rupture zones. High amount of sediment thickness is associated with tropical climates, high erosion rates and eastward Pacific dominant winds that provoke orographic rainfalls over the Pacific slope of the Ecuatorian Andes. Offshore sediment dispersion off the oceanic trench is controlled by a close arrangement of two aseismic ridges that hit the costa Rico and South Ecuador margin respectively and a mid ocean ridge that separates the cocos and Nazca plate trapping sediments. Gravity field and Ocean circulation Explorer （GOcE） satellite data are used in this work to test the possible relationship between gravity signal and earthquake rupture structure as well as registered aftershock seismic activity. Reduced vertical gravity gradient shows a good correlation with rupture structure for certain degrees of the harmonic expansion and related depth of the causative mass; indicating, such as in other analyzed cases along the subduction margin, that fore-arc structure derived from density heterogeneities explains at a certain extent propagation of the rupture zones. In this analysis the rupture zone of the April 2016 Ecuador earthquake developed through a relatively low density zone of the fore-arc sliver. Finally, aftershock sequence nucleated around the area of maximum slips in the rupture zone, suggesting that heterogeneous density structure of the fore-arc determined from gravity data could be used in forecasting potential damaged zones associated with big rupture
