Altai (also named Altay in China) Mountain Country (Mountain System) is a unique natural region,located on the border between different floristic regimes of the Boreal and ancient Mediterranean sub-kingdoms,where distribution of plant species is actually limited. It is known to have sufficient endemic floral biodiversity in the Northern Asia. Many plants of Altai Mountain System need effective care and proper conservation measures for their survival and longer-term protection. Important Plant Area identified as the IUCN (the International Union for Conservation of Nature),specified criteria attract global attention for protection of floral biodiversity across the world. The records of 71 plant species from the Chinese Altai Mountains attributed to the criterion A and the dark conifer forests of Chinese Altai Mountains satisfied the criterion C,which may help qualify to fulfill the national obligation of the Convention on Biological Diversity.

A lion-like pantherine felid is described as Panthera(Leo)fossilis from the late Early Pleistocene sediments of the Kuznetsk Basin(Western Siberia,Russia).The find of *** first recorded in Asia considerably extends the current notion of the eastward expansion of the most ancient *** Siberian lion is geologically the oldest form and is dimensionally among the largest members of the group of fossil lions on the Eurasian conti*** known by mandibular remains only,it is readily distinguished from Panthera(Leo)spelaea by a heavy built mandibular corpus with rectangular profile in the cheek teeth area,a deep,well-outlined and narrow anterior section of the masseteric fossa,and a largeр4 supported by a big unreduced anterior *** Siberian lion shares these features with the European Middle Pleistocene *** and the American Late Pleistocene P.(Leo)atrox,which suggests their close *** originated from *** and was isolated in North America south of the Late Pleistocene ice *** explains why the American lion has retained more primitive features than the coeval Eurasian cave lion P.(L.)spelaea.

The ecological-niche models for two sympatric species,Eremias lineolata(Nikolsky,1897)and Eremias scripta(Strauch,1867),reveal evidence of spatial and temporal disjunction in the actual niches of both *** lineolata demonstrates a wide range of adaptations and,at the same time,has a greater need for winter precipitation and minimal temperature than *** explanations for the thermal diversity of both species are *** variables(monthly temperatures,monthly solar radiation,etc.)are traditionally important for ectotherm ***,as many as half of the key variables in both species are related to different aspects of environmental water balance(precipitation,air humidity,vapor pressure).There are several ways in which moisture may impact the lizard’s life *** humidity is related to soil temperature and may be important during winter *** summer,soil humidity may support successful *** during the warm months is a key factor in maintaining the moisture content of the *** winter,snow cover provides a better thermal balance of the soil’s top layers where winter shelters are *** niche modeling(ENM)is an interdisciplinary approach combining the geographical,climatic,ecological,and biological aspects of the wellbeing of *** interdisciplinary approach lifts biological studies onto a new,integrative level,providing a comprehensive view on species biology and answering the questions that might not be answered if the traditional methods for studying animals were used alone.

Organosilicas with chemically immobilized 3-aminopropyl and Methyl Red-containing surface groups were prepared by sol-gel condensation of tetraethyl orthosilicate and(3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane in the presence of dye as part of the mixed micelles or dyecontaining silane as silica *** hexagonally arranged mesoporous structure of synthesized materials was confirmed by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption-desorption,xray diffraction,and TEM *** composition of MCM-41-type organosilicas was established by FT-IR spectroscopy and chemical analysis of surface *** of Methyl Red by organosilicas was studied from diluted phosphate buffer solutions in dependence of medium p H,duration of contact,and equilibrium concentration of *** was found that effective removal of Methyl Red takes place at p H values within a range of *** curves of Methyl Red sorption on organosilicas were analyzed by the Lagergren,Ho-McKey,and Weber-Morris kinetic *** was found that the pseudo-second-order model fits the kinetics of Methyl Red sorption on all synthesized materials and the intraparticle diffusion is not the only one mechanism controlling the rate of Methyl Red sorptive *** parameters of equilibrium sorption of Methyl Red on organosilicas of MCM-41 type were calculated using Langmuir,Freundlich,Redlich-Peterson,and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller *** of acid dyes with geometry similar or substantially different from Methyl Red on mesoporous silicas was studied from single and binary component mixtures in aqueous solutions with p H 4.8 and *** was found that selective sorption process is highly dependent on the structural characteristics and protolytic state of silica surface as well as acid dye.

AIM To show the existence of a structural formative role of magnetic fields(MFs) with respect to biological objects by using our proposed model of an *** We introduced a magnetised 10-100 μT metal rod(needle) into culture dishes with a negatively charged working surface and observed during 24 h how cells were arranged by MFs and by electrical fields(EFs) when attached. Rat and human bone marrow-derived stromal stem cells(r BMSCs and h BMSCs), human nonadherent mononuclear blood cells, NCTCs and A172 cells, and Escherichia coli(E. coli) were evaluated. The dish containing BMSCs was defined as the model of an acupoint. r BMSCs proliferative activity affected by the needle was investigated. For investigating electromagnetic field structures, we used the gas discharge visualisation(GDv) *** During 24 h of incubation in 50-mm culture dishes, BMSCs or the nonadherent cells accumulated into a central heap in each dish. BMSCs formed a torus(central ring) with an inner diameter of approximately10 mm only upon the introduction of the needle in the centre of the dish. The cells did not show these effects in 35- or 90-mm culture dishes or hydrophobic dishes or rectangular cuvettes. NCTCs and A172 cells showed unstable the effects and only up to two weeks after thawing. Moreover, we observed that the appearance of these effects depended on the season. In winter, BMSCs showed no the effects. GDv experiments revealed that the resonant annular illumination gradually formed from 10 to 18-20 s in polar solutions with and without cell suspension of BMSCs, NCTCs and E. coli when using circular 50-mm dishes, stimulation at 115 v and switching of the electrode poles at 1 kH z. All these data demonstrate the resonant nature of the central ring. It has been a mystery that the detected fluorescence intensity of single MEH-PPv molecules is much lower than expected based on their chain *** this review,after re-evaluating of the literature data in the light of new specially designed experiments,we present a comprehensive explanation of this issue:The actual size of MEH-PPv molecules at single molecule level is much smaller than expected due to de-aggregation and chain scission,while static quenching("dark matter")also exists for large molecules,further reducing their brightness.

Gastric cancer(GC)remains a serious oncological problem,ranking third in the structure of mortality from malignant *** treatment outcomes for this pathology largely depends on understanding the pathogenesis and biological characteristics of GC,including the identification and characterization of diagnostic,prognostic,predictive,and therapeutic *** is known that the main cause of death from malignant neoplasms and GC,in particular,is tumor *** that angiogenesis is a critical process for tumor growth and metastasis,it is now considered an important marker of disease prognosis and sensitivity to anticancer *** the presented review,modern concepts of the mechanisms of tumor vessel formation and the peculiarities of their morphology are considered;data on numerous factors influencing the formation of tumor microvessels and their role in GC progression are summarized;and various approaches to the classification of tumor vessels,as well as the methods for assessing angiogenesis activity in a tumor,are ***,results from studies on the prognostic and predictive significance of tumor microvessels in GC are also discussed,and a new classification of tumor microvessels in GC,based on their morphology and clinical significance,is proposed for consideration.
