Predictors of disease recurrence after radical resection and adjuvant chemotherapy in patients with stage IIb-IIIa squamous cell lung cancer:A retrospective analysis

We consider the Cauchy problem εu^″ε ＋ δu′ε ＋ Auε = 0, uε（0） = uo, u′ε（0） = ul, where ε 〉 0, δ 〉 0, H is a Hilbert space, and A is a self-adjoint linear non-negative operator on H with dense domain D（A）. We study the convergence of （uε） to the solution of the limit problem ,δu＇＋ Au = 0, u（0） = u0. For initial data （u0, u1） ∈ D（A1/2）× H, we prove global-in-time convergence with respect to strong topologies. Moreover, we estimate the convergence rate in the case where （u0, u1）∈ D（A3/2） ∈ D（A1/2）, and we show that this regularity requirement is sharp for our estimates. We give also an upper bound for ｜u′ε（t）｜ which does not depend on ε.

novel ZnSe/niO heterostructure nanocomposites were successfully prepared by one-step hydrothermal *** ZnSe/niO-based sensor exhibits a response of~96.47% to 8×10^(-6) nO_(2) at 140℃,which is significantly higher than those of intrinsic ZnSe-based(no response)and niO-based(~19.65%)*** theoretical detection limit(LOD)of the sensor is calculated to be 8.91×10^(-9),indicating that the sensor can be applied to detect the ultralow concentrations of nO_(2).The effect of niO content on the gas-sensing performance of the nanocomposites was investigated in *** optimal niO content in the nanocomposite is determined to be15.16%to achieve the highest *** as-fabricated sensor also presents an excellent selectivity to several possible interferents such as methanol,ethanol,acetone,benzene,ammonia and *** enhanced sensing performance can be attributed to the formation of p-p heterostructures between ZnSe and niO,which induces the charge transfer across the interfaces and yields more active sites.

The combination of a microbial and a non-microbial biostimulant increases yield in lettuce(Lactuca sativa) under salt stress conditions by up-regulating cytokinin biosynthesis

Salinization poses a significant challenge in agriculture, exacerbated by anthropogenic global warming. Biostimulants, derived from living microorganisms or natural extracts, have emerged as valuable tools for conventional and organic ***, our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying the effects of biostimulants is very limited, especially in crops under real cultivation conditions. In this study, we adopted an integrative approach to investigate the effectiveness of the combined application of plant growth-promoting bacterium(Bacillus megaterium strain BM08) and a non-microbial biostimulant under control conditions(normal watering) and salt stress. After confirming the yield increase under both conditions, we investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying the observed effect by measuring a number of physiological parameters(i.e., lipid peroxidation, antioxidants,chlorophylls, total phenolics and phytohormone content), as well as RnA sequencing and primary metabolite analyses. Our findings reveal that the combined effect of the microbial and non-microbial biostimulants led to a decrease in the antioxidant response and an up-regulation of genes involved in cytokinin biosynthesis under salt stress ***, in turn, resulted in a higher concentration of the bioactive cytokinin, isopentenyladenosine, in roots and leaves and an increase in γ-aminobutyric acid, a non-proteic amino acid related to abiotic stress responses. In addition, we observed a decrease in malic acid, along with an abscisic acid(ABA)-independent up-regulation of SR-kinases, a family of protein kinases associated with abiotic stress responses. Furthermore, we observed that the single application of the non-microbial biostimulant triggers an ABA-dependent response under salt stress;however, when combined with the microbial biostimulant, it potentiated the mechanisms triggered by the BM08 bacterial strain. Gold mineralisation and orogenic metamorphism in the Lena province of Siberia as assessed from Chertovo Koryto and Sukhoi Log deposits

Background: The deforestation caused by road construction is one of the main drivers for both biodiversity and function loss in tropical ecosystems. Terricolous cryptogams are pioneers in colonizing roadside and they are limited by environmental and edaphic factors, thus, cryptogams may act as pioneers for ecosystem rehabilitation at ***: This research was aimed at determining the diversity and composition of terricolous cryptogams, as well as their relationship with elevation and soil properties among roadside of the tropical Andes of Ecuador, in order to establish indicator species of this anthropized ecosystems. Five elevations were selected and in each one 50grids of 20 cm×30 cm were sampled(250 in total along the road), where occurrence, cover and identification of every cryptogam species were recorded. To evaluate the effect of elevation and soil properties on cryptogam richness, a linear model was conducted. Species composition among elevations was compared by non-metric multidimensional scaling(nMDS), and their relationship with the environmental variables through a correlation with adjusted axes was performed. A total of 72 species were recorded, those being 44 bryophytes and 28lichens. Species richness and composition of terricolous cryptogams were influenced by elevation and soil properties, thus the richness is higher at elevations E1, E2 and E3(2600, 2200 and 1800 m a.s.l.), differing from low elevations E4 and E5(1400 and 1000 m a.s.l.). Higher elevations with specific soil conditions(e.g bulk density, nitrogen and silt) harbored different cryptogam communities than those in lower ***: A combination of both elevation and soil properties are shaping the colonization by terricolous cryptogams commnunities.
