AIM:To evaluate concordance between the clinical assessment of glaucomatous progression of the optic disc photography and progression identified by Heidelberg Retina Tomograph(HRT)in patients with suspected primary juvenile open angle glaucoma(JOAG).METHODS:Optic disc photographs and corresponding HRTⅡseries were *** disc changes between first and final photographs were noted as well as progression identified by HRT topographic change analysis(TCA)and rim area regression line(RARL)Agreement between progression indentified by photography and HRT methods was ***,determined from optic disc photographs by consensus assessment was used as the reference ***:A total of 31 patients(59 eyes)with suspected JOAG were *** for progression/no progression between TCA and photography was obtained in 4 progressing eyes and 38stable eyes(71.19%,k=0.11).Agreement for progression/no progression between RARL and photography was detected in 5 progressing eyes and in 34 stable eyes(66.10%,k=0.15).The number of HRT per patient was statistically higher in the progressing group(P=0.034).CONCLUSION:Agreement for detection of longitudinal changes between photography and HRT analysis was *** way to improve the chance of discovery of the progression could be increasing the number of HRT examinations.

Validation of the Glaucoma Quality of Life-15 Questionnaire in Serbian language

AIM：To translate the Glaucoma Quality of Life-15（GQL-15）to Serbian language and asses its validity and reliability in the population of Serbian ***：The study included 177 glaucoma *** parameters（visual acuity,mean defect and square root of loss variance of visual field）and socio-demographic data were *** were stratified according to the Nelson’s glaucoma staging system as mild,moderate and advanced *** patients filled out the GQL-15 and National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire（NEI-VFQ 25）.The GQL-15 was translated following the internationally-accepted methodology,and its psychometric properties were assessed by using classical test theory and Rasch ***：The mean total score for the GQL-15 was 20.68±*** Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the whole scale was 0.89（central and near vision,α=0.24;peripheral vision,α=0.85;glare and dark adaptation,α=0.83）.Factor analysis established 4 factors（70.3% of variance）：two corresponding to the original factors and two new factors specific for the Serbian *** GQL-15 score correlated positively with almost all clinical parameters and NEI-VFQ 25 proving good criterion *** of the GQL-15 total score on test-retest confirmed appropriate scale reproducibility（ρ=0.96,P〈0.001）.The GQL-15 discriminated well advanced from mild and moderate *** Rasch analysis we obtained adequate item（0.95）reliability *** all items had infit and outfit mean squares in the accepted ***：Serbian version of the GQL-15 demonstrates adequate reliability and *** version of the GQL-15is a valid instrument for evaluation of quality of life among Serbian speaking patients with glaucoma and can be applied in daily clinical work.

目的:分析原发性开角型青光眼(POAG)视盘损害的进展和进展频率。方法:33例(66眼)POAG患者,男14例,女19例,年龄14 ～79岁,在随访的6a间(2000/2006),3次或更多次进行海德堡视网膜断层扫描仪Ⅱ(HRT Ⅱ)检查。对整体和节段的视盘参数进行回归分析判断视盘损害的进展。患者每年进行Octopus G1计算机视野分析检查一次。激光扫描视盘图像参数包括:盘沿面积(ra),杯盘比(C/D),盘沿体积(rv),平均视神经纤维层厚度(mRNFL)。扫描视神经的节段包括总体(G),颞侧(T),颞上(TS),颞下(TI),鼻侧(N),鼻上方(NS)和鼻下(NI)。结果:根据杯盘比C/D,总体上有34眼(51%)视盘损害进展,32眼(48%)没有进展。12眼(18%)颞侧(T),7眼(10.6%)颞上,14眼(21%)颞下,8眼(12%)鼻侧,7眼(10,6%)鼻上,13眼(20%)鼻下,视盘损害进展。5眼(8%)没有进展。结论:在鼻侧(N)及颞下方(TI)视盘损害进展最多,进展频率最高在颞下方(TI)和鼻下方(NI),频率最低在鼻上方(NI)。杯盘比C/D最敏感。节段扫描对POAG进展分析有重要意义。

The global social,economic and political crises related to coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)presumably had more indirect than direct negative impacts on health *** lifestyle changes,social isolation and distancing,and individual and global financial crises resulted in robust populations forfeiting healthy habits and seeking comfort in alcoholic beverages,drugs and unhealthy *** inevitable consequences are increases in the incidence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease,viral hepatitis,acute alcoholic hepatitis,liver cirrhosis decompensation and ultimately liver-related *** inaccessibility of regular clinical and sonographic monitoring systems has caused difficulties in the treatment of patients with chronic liver disease(CLD)and has prevented prompt hepatocellular carcinoma detection and treatment.A dramatic reduction in the number of liver donors and the transformation of numerous transplantation centers into COVID-19 units drastically decreased the rate of orthotopic liver *** indirect,unavoidable effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the following years have yet to be *** efforts in the management of patients with liver disease in order to overcome the inevitable COVID-19-related morbidity and mortality that will follow have yet to be *** questions regarding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on liver disease *** most important question for general CLD patients is:How will the modification of clinical practice during this pandemic affect the outcomes of CLD patients?This article reviews the influence of COVID-19 on patients with liver disease during the pandemic,with particular emphasis on the disease course associated with pandemic resolution.
