在颗粒细胞-卵母细胞共培养减数分裂恢复时期,颗粒细胞与卵母细胞之间能相互影响。颗粒细胞能释放一些卵母细胞生长所需要的物质至培养基中,培养基可以促进这些物质从颗粒细胞传递到卵母细胞。这些分泌因子在卵母细胞发育成熟过程中起重要的作用。在次黄嘌呤抑制的颗粒细胞-卵母细胞共培养体系中,颗粒细胞分泌的因子能使卵母细胞减数分裂的恢复(GVBD)比率达到64.1±1.8%,而卵母细胞单独培养时只为20.4±4.8%。研究表明,虽然卵母细胞单独培养时能从培养基中吸取营养,然而颗粒细胞可以分泌促进卵母细胞成熟的重要成分。这说明,在颗粒细胞中存在一条信号通路。此外,添加FSH后,单独培养的卵母细胞的GVBD率能提高,这说明FSH在卵母细胞减数分裂恢复过程中起到了直接或是间接的作用,但是在本实验的颗粒细胞-卵母细胞共培养的结果证明,添加与不添加FSH培养组之间的GVBD率差异不显著,分别为81.0±0.6%、71.9±0.1%。这些结果说明共培养体系中,颗粒细胞可以不依赖于FSH的作用而分泌促进卵母细胞减数分裂恢复的重要因子。颗粒细胞分泌因子在颗粒细胞与卵母细胞共培养12h的过程中被释放出来。在这个时间段,利用共培养12小时后去除颗粒细胞后的培养液培养新的卵母细胞细胞中,原来添加FSH组的GVBD率为81.1±1.4%,没有添加FSH组的为71.7±3%。颗粒细胞-卵母细胞共培养12h和24h,GVBD率差异不显著。这些结果表明,12h可以诱导卵母细胞减数分裂成熟启动。FSH培养颗粒细胞12小时后,去掉颗粒细胞后的培养液再培养新的卵母细胞GVBD率为59.9±2.8%,而从颗粒细胞-卵母细胞共培养组收集的培养液继续培养新的卵母细胞的GVBD率为81.1±1.4%。这说明颗粒细胞诱导卵母细胞GVBD时分泌的因子可能是依赖于卵母细胞的。这也表明,颗粒细胞与卵母细胞之间的作用是相互的。在减数分裂成熟过程中,丝裂原活化的蛋白激酶(MAPK)和蛋白激酶C(PKC)是两种由颗粒细胞分泌的物质。在添加了10uM MEK抑制剂U0126或是10uM蛋白合成抑制剂亚胺环己酮时,FSH就不能诱导卵母细胞GVBD。在添加了U0126的卵母细胞单独培养组以及颗粒细胞-卵母细胞共培养组,由于U0126能抑制MAPK的激活、从而降低了GVBD率,其GVBD率分别为24.12%和25.86%。在上面两组中收集的培养液也不能支持新的卵母细胞的GVBD。MAPK信号通路在颗粒细胞和卵母细胞成熟中起重要作用。在成熟过程中,颗粒细胞和卵母细胞表达的磷酸化的MAPK能通过免疫组织化学分析检测到。蛋白质印迹结果显示,U0126以及Staurosporine(总的PKC抑制剂)使得FSH不能诱导MAPK磷酸化且降低GVBD率(卵母细胞单独培养时为8.8±1.5%,颗粒细胞和卵母细胞共培养时为19.8±5.2%)。PKC信号通路在颗粒细胞和卵母细胞成熟中起到关键作用。在颗粒细胞中,PMA(总PKC激活剂)或OAG(nPKC激活剂)可以激活卵母细胞核颗粒细胞中的PKC成员,包括αβγ(cPKC),δε(nPKC)以及ξ(aPKC)。卵母细胞单独培养,添加不同亚型的PKC抑制剂组结果为,Hispidin (32.65%±8.2)和Bisindolylmaleimide(31.4±2.5%)组GVBD率显著高于(P<0.05)总PKC抑制剂组8.8±1.5%,这些结果暗示卵母细胞中,有6种PKC亚型参与诱导GVBD。蛋白质印迹表明,Staurosporine能阻碍颗粒细胞中MAPK的磷酸化。MAPK存在于PKC通路的下游。信号通路与代谢活性是颗粒细胞和卵母细胞相互作用的重要方面。蛋白合成以及磷酸化参与了FSH诱导的减数分裂恢复。有研究报道,蛋白合成抑制剂CHX能影响GVBD率,在添加有FSH的卵母细胞单独培养以及颗粒细胞-卵母细胞共培养时12h后,GVBD率分别为30.0%和48.9%,表明,在颗粒细胞和卵母细胞中,CHX使得FSH不能诱导蛋白合成。CHX处理培养12小时后,去除颗粒细胞后的培养液不能为新的卵母细胞生长提供足够的营养。另外,在培养24h后去除颗粒细胞后的培养液不能有效支持新的卵母细胞的GVBD,从卵母细胞单独培养、颗粒细胞单独培养以及颗粒细胞和卵母细胞共培养后获取的培养液对新的卵母细胞的GVBD率分别为：33.9%、29.9%以及46.6%。蛋白质印迹分析表明,CHX不能抑制MAPK磷酸化,但是能降低卵母细胞的GVBD率。表明,MAPK和蛋白合成通过不同的信号通路诱导减数分裂恢复,或者说是MAPK是蛋白质合成以及卵母细胞GVBD的上游分子。考马斯亮蓝染色结果表明,FSH处理后的颗粒细胞的蛋白多于U0126、CHX以及Staurosporine处理后的颗粒细胞中的蛋白量,颗粒细胞中蛋白

Introduction: The causes of sexual delinquency against children are multifactorial and the motivations that drive the perpetrators of sexual assault are diverse. Nowadays, there is still no consensus on a single portrait of child sex offenders and studies that focus on sex offenders are still rare in Senegal and Africa. Objectives: To determine the profile of the perpetrators and to identify the circumstances of sexual violence against minors in Casamance. Materials and Methods: A retrospective descriptive and analytical study from April 1, 2014 to October 31, 2019 was conducted. The study population was made up of perpetrators of sexual violence against minors whose legal proceedings were dealt with at the Ziguinchor High Court. The data were entered into an Excel spreadsheet and then analyzed using Epi InfoTM 7 software. Results: A total of 106 cases of sexual violence against minors were collected for 113 aggressors and 106 victims. Rape accounted for 66.03% of sexual violence. Male aggressors were 98.23%. Female victims accounted for 95.28%. The average age of the attackers was 32.52 years (±13.68). Offenders over the age of 35 committed the most rape (p = 0.043). The average age of the victims was 12.62 years (±3.42). Victims aged ten and over (p = 0.015) and who had a low level of education (p = 0.016) were more exposed to rape. The assault took place during the day (65.71%) and at the home of the aggressor (62.26%). Victims knew their attackers (84.47%). Victims were assaulted more than once by the same assailant (40.57%). Those aged 10 years and over (p = 0.0037) and who knew their attackers (p = 0.014) were more at risk of being repeatedly sexually abused. Conclusion: In Senegal, sexual violence against minors is perpetrated by young adult men, single, with little or no education and exercising low-income professions. Introduction: The diffuse type of gastric adenocarcinoma has been found to be more prevalent in low risk countries like Cameroon. The objective of this study was to determine the most frequent histological type of gastric cancer found in Yaoundé and its association to the Helicobacter pylori infection. Materials and Methods: The registries of histopathology laboratories of 4 reference hospitals in Yaoundé, Cameroon have been reviewed for registered primitive gastric malignancies from July 2009 to May 2014. Paraffin blocks mounted on slides and stained with Hematoxylyn and Eosin of gastric cancer cases were re-stained Giemsa to search for Helicobacter pylori and they were classified using the criteria of Lauren in intestinal type or diffuse type. Results: Forty-two cases were reviewed: 25 (59.5%) of them were intestinal type of gastric adenocarcinoma, 11 (26.2%) were diffuse type, 4 (9.5%) were malignant gastric lymphoma, 1 (2.4%) was a stromal tumor, and 1 (2.4%) was a colloid carcinoma. The most common site of location was the proximal gastric portion (52.2%). The overall prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection was 88.1%, most common with the intestinal type (100%) and malignant lymphoma (100%) than with the diffuse type (72.2%) (p = 0.007). Conclusion: The most common type of gastric adenocarcinoma in Cameroon is the intestinal type and Helicobacter pylori infection is more common in the intestinal type and malignant gastric lymphoma than in the diffuse type. The Helicobacter pylori eradication campaigns are needed.

Protein powders from Eisenia foetida were prepared using different drying processes and fractionation. Differential scanning calorimetry was used to show that heat denaturation occurred during the drying process above 42°C. Protein solubility was also studied. The addition of dissociating reagents allowed concluding that solubility was decreased during oven drying due to thermo denaturation including hydrogen bonds. The volatile compounds of the different powders were extracted by solid phase micro-extraction and identified by mass spectrometry. Volatile compounds were related to lipid oxidation and Maillard reactions occurring during the preparation of the powders. High drying temperatures led to more volatile compounds resulting from Maillard reactions. In the protein powder preparation process, a fractionation step led to a “pulp fraction” and a “juice fraction” of earthworms. The “pulp fraction” contained less odorant volatile compounds resulting from Maillard reactions than the “juice fraction” did.

Introduction: A hernia of the abdominal wall is defined as the externalization of a viscera of the abdominal cavity in relation to a deficiency of the components of the wall. Topographies are diverse and diagnosis is based on clinical practice. The objective of this study was to describe the epidemiological and diagnostic aspects of abdominal wall hernias at the University Hospital of Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire. Patients and Methods: This was a descriptive retrospective study that ran from January 2010 to December 2022. It concerned all patients admitted for abdominal wall hernias. Results: We collected 497 records of patients admitted for abdominal wall hernia. Abdominal wall hernias accounted for 7.6% of patients admitted to the ward (n = 6512) and were the fourth most common patient. These were males (79%;n = 392) and females (21%;n = 105). The mean age was 43 years [range: 17 and 70 years]. The occupation was dominated by forced labourers with 73% (n = 372) more specifically farmers (42%;n = 209). The average consultation time was 2 days (extreme 1 and 8 days). The main clinical signs were abdominal pain for strangulated hernias with or without occlusive signs (n = 397;79.8%) and reducible bothersome swelling with intermittent pain (n = 100;20.2%) for non-strangulated hernias. Hernias of the groin (inguinal and femoral hernia) were the most frequent with 85% (n = 422) followed by hernias of the white line (epigastric, umbilical and hypogastric) with 14% (n = 71) and lumbar hernias (Spiegel, Jean-Louis Petit and Grynfeltt) with 1% (n = 4), we did not note any cases of pelvic hernia (obturator and ischiatic). Conclusion: Parietal hernias are a common surgical condition at the Ivory Coast University Hospital, particularly in Bouaké. Groin hernia is the most common topographic variety. Strangulation is the main complication.
