Background:This study examines the relationship between coping strategies and symptoms of anxiety or depression among Dutch servicemembers deployed to ***:Coping strategies were assessed in 33 battlefield casualties(BCs)and the control group(CTRLs)of 33 uninjured servicemembers from the same combat units using the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire.A factor analysis was performed,and two clusters of coping strategies were derived,namely,adaptive and maladaptive *** of anxiety and depression were evaluated using the depression and anxiety subscales of the Symptom *** between coping and symptoms of anxiety and between coping and symptoms of depression were calculated,and a logistic regression was ***:A moderate correlation was observed between maladaptive coping and symptoms of anxiety in the BC group(r=0.42)and among the CTRLs(r=0.56).A moderate correlation was observed between maladaptive coping and symptoms of depression in both groups(r=0.55).The statistical analysis for the total sample(BCs and CTRLs)demonstrated no association between coping and symptoms of anxiety or ***:A correlation but no association was observed between maladaptive coping and mental health disorders in deployed Dutch *** research should focus on constructing cluster profiles of coping strategies and associating them with mental health outcomes and reintegration into society.

四川沐川县民主—太平—带含钼砂岩为一新矿化类型——沉积砂岩型铼钼(锇)矿点。X-射线粉晶衍射分析结果表明其中微—细晶鳞片状含钼矿物为晶质辉钼矿;高精度质谱分析发现辉钼矿中分散元素Re和铂族元素Os含量很高,具有重要的综合利用价值;高精度Re-Os同位素测年证明辉钼矿形成年龄与含矿的中生代红层盆地砂岩同期,未发现任何热液活动迹象或构造活动影响,认为辉钼矿属同生沉积产物。这一发现和研究对于矿物学和矿床学均具有重要的理论意义和应用价值。

Role of endoscopic ultrasound in the molecular diagnosis of pancreatic cancer

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma remains one of the most deadly types of tumor. Endoscopic ultrasoundguided fine-needle aspiration(EUS-FNA) is a safe, cost-effective, and accurate technique for evaluating and staging pancreatic tumors. However, EUS-FNA may be inconclusive or doubtful in up to 20% of cases. This review underlines the clinical interest of the molecular analysis of samples obtained by EUS-FNA in assessing diagnosis or prognosis of pancreatic cancer, especially in locally advanced tumors. On EUS-FNA materials DNA, mRNA and miRNA can be extracted, amplified, quantified and subjected to methylation assay. Kras mutation assay, improves diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. When facing to clinical and radiological presentations of pseudo-tumorous chronic pancreatitis, wildtype Kras is evocative of benignity. Conversely, in front of a pancreatic mass suspected of malignancy, a mutated Kras is highly evocative of pancreatic adenocarci-noma. This strategy can reduce false-negative diagnoses, avoids the delay of making decisions and reduces loss of surgical resectability. Similar approaches are conducted using analysis of miRNA expression as well as Mucin or markers of invasion(S100P, S100A6, plat or PLAU). Beyond the diagnosis approach, the prediction of response to treatment can be also investigated form biomarkers expression within EUS-FNA materials.

Objective: The risk of stroke in patients with recently symptomatic carotid stenosis is considerably higher than in patients with asymptomatic stenosis. In the present study it was hypothesised that excessive platelet activation might partly contribute to this difference. Methods: A full blood count was done and whole blood flow cytometry used to measure platelet surface expression of CD62P, CD63, and PAC1 binding and the percentage of leucocyte-platelet complexes in patients with acute (0-21 days, n = 19) and convalescent (79-365 days) symptomatic (n = 16) and asymptomatic (n = 16) severe (≥70%) carotid stenosis. Most patients were treated with aspirin (37.5-300 mg daily) although alternative antithrombotic regimens were more commonly used in the symptomatic group. Results: The mean platelet count was higher in patients with acute and convalescent symptomatic compared with asymptomatic carotid stenosis. There were no significant differences in the median percentage expression of CD62P and CD63, or PAC1 binding between the acute or convalescent symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. The median percentages of neutrophil-platelet (p = 0.004), monocyte-platelet (p = 0.046), and lymphocyte-platelet complexes (p = 0.02) were higher in acute symptomatic than in asymptomatic patients. In patients on aspirin monotherapy, the percentages of neutrophil-platelet and monocyte-platelet complexes (p=0.03) were higher in acute symptomatic (n=11) than asymptomatic patients (n = 14). In the convalescent phase, the median percentages of all leucocyte-platelet complexes in the symptomatic group dropped to levels similar to those found in the asymptomatic group. Conclusion: Increased platelet count and leucocyte-platelet complex formation may contribute to the early excess risk of stroke in patients with recently symptomatic carotid stenosis.
