Refractories have unique capabilities such as sustaining their shape and properties at extreme conditions such as the combination of high temperatures and thermal shock,contact with molten metals and slags and in some circumstances resistance to erosion from abrasive *** the large processing output of the heavy industries such as the cement and steel ones which both require high temperature processes,the refractories structures span various meters and weight of several *** the water removal stage of hydraulic bonded castables in industrial sites takes hours(10-60 h)due to the risk of explosive spalling,efforts to mitigate it are commonly *** has provided theoretical understanding of the general aspects of drying and important tools,such as the thermogravimetry analysis(TGA),for the design of refractory compositions with higher explosive spalling ***,the optimization of this process is still far from the industrial reality especially because the actual linings that require the drying are orders of magnitude larger than the samples considered in the laboratory ***,this study proposed the analysis of the sample volume effect on the water removal dynamics through TGA of high alumina castables with calcium aluminate ***φ5 cm×5 cm cylindrical samples were assessed in a laboratory scale equipment whereas macro TGA were carried out considering 20 cm×20 cm×20 cm and 30 cm×30 cm×30 cm cubic ***,the effect of polymeric fibers was also *** was found out that the different thermal gradients within the macro TGA samples resulted in an inflection on the sample’s heating rate and that the mass loss was affected by the volume considered,especially for the composition without *** findings highlight the requirement of carefully taking into consideration the different dimensional sizes and thermal gradients in the samples when analyzing and interpreting the laboratory studies,and

Bactrocera tryoni and Bactrocera neohumeralis are morphologically similar sibling pest fruit fly species that possess different biological attributes,geographic distributions,and host *** need to differentiate between the two species is critical for accurate pest status assessment,management,biosecurity,and maintenance of reference *** morphologically similar,adults may be separated based on subtle characters;however,some characters exhibit intraspecific variability,creating overlap between the two ***,there is currently no single molecular marker or rapid diagnostic assay that can reliably distinguish between *** and ***;therefore,ambiguous samples remain *** we report the first molecular marker that can consistently distinguish between *** and *** diagnostic region consists of two adjacent single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)within the pangolin(pan)gene *** confirmed the genotypes of each species are consistent across their distributional range,then developed a tetra-primer amplification refractory mutation system(ARmS)PCR assay for rapid diagnosis of the *** assay utilizes four primers in multiplex,with two outer universal primers,and two internal primers:one designed to target two adjacent SNPs(AA)present in *** and the other targeting adjacent SNPs present in ***(GG).The assay accurately discriminates between the two species,but their SNP genotypes are shared with other nontarget tephritid fruit fly ***,this assay is most suited to adult diagnostics where species confirmation is necessary in determining ambiguous surveillance trap catches;maintaining pure colony lines;and in Sterile Insect Technique management responses.

A novel rheumatoid arthritis(RA)synovial fluid protein,Syntenin-1,and its receptor,Syndecan-1(SDC-1),are colocalized on RA synovial tissue endothelial cells and fibroblast-like synoviocytes(FLS).Syntenin-1 exacerbates the inflammatory landscape of endothelial cells and RA FLS by upregulating transcription of IRF1/5/7/9,IL-1β,IL-6,and CCL2 through SDC-1 ligation and HIF1α,or mTOR ***,Syntenin-1 orchestrates RA FLS and endothelial cell invasion via SDC-1 and/or mTOR *** Syntenin-1 reprogrammed endothelial cells,the dynamic expression of metabolic intermediates coincides with escalated glycolysis along with unchanged oxidative factors,AmPK,PGC-1α,citrate,and inactive oxidative ***,RA FLS rewired by Syntenin-1 displayed a modest glycolytic-ATP accompanied by a robust mitochondrial-ATP *** enriched mitochondrial-ATP detected in Syntenin-1 reprogrammed RA FLS was coupled with mitochondrial fusion and fission recapitulated by escalated mitofusin-2 and DRP1 *** found that vEGFR1/2 and Notch1 networks are responsible for the crosstalk between Syntenin-1 rewired endothelial cells and RA FLS,which are also represented in RA *** to RA explants,morphological and transcriptome studies authenticated the importance of vEGFR1/2,Notch1,RAPTOR,and HIF1αpathways in Syntenin-1 arthritic mice and their obstruction in SDC-1 deficient ***,dysregulation of SDC-1,mTOR,and HIF1αnegated Syntenin-1 inflammatory phenotype in RA explants,while inhibition of HIF1αimpaired synovial angiogenic imprint amplified by *** conclusion,since the current therapies are ineffective on Syntenin-1 and SDC-1 expression in RA synovial tissue and blood,targeting this pathway and its interconnected metabolic intermediates may provide a novel therapeutic strategy.

Enhanced saturation magnetization in La^(3+) doped NiCo ferrites prepared by sol-gel auto-combustion method

Lanthanum doped nickel-cobalt nano ferrites with chemical formula Ni_(0.5)Co_(0.5)LaxFe_(2-x)O_(4)(x=0.05,0,10,0.15 and 0,20) were prepared using a simple sol-gel auto combustion *** basic structural properties were determined by X-ray diffraction method and the formation of single phased spinel ferrite was *** crystalline size decreased from 25 to 11 nm and lattice parameter a increases with increase of La *** surface morphology of these ferrites was observed by field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm) and agglomerated irregular grains are observed with increase of the rare earth element La ***-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX) result confirms the presence of the required *** Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) spectrum indicates the formation of the spinel ferrite structure with m-O *** direct band measurements from ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy(Uv-vis) spectroscopy indicate that the direct band gap decreases from 1.39 to 1.19 ev for x=0.05 to x=0.15,then increases to 1.28 ev for x=*** room temperature magnetic properties of these ferrites were studied by a vibrating sample magnetometer(vSm).The enhanced saturation magnetization of 49.73 emu/g is observed for x=0.10 and then saturation magnetizations are gradually decreased for x=0.15 and x=*** the remanent magnetization and coercivity also follow the same trend.

In the background of f(R,L_(m))gravity,this work investigates three distinct dark matter halo profiles to test the possibility of generalised wormhole geometry within the galactic halo *** current study aims to accomplish these goals by examining various dark matter profiles including universal rotation curves(URC),Navarro-Frenk-White(NFW)model-Ⅰ,and NFW model-Ⅱinside two distinct f(R,L_(m))gravity *** to the f(R,L_(m))=R/2+L^(a)_(m)model,the dark matter(Dm)halo density profiles produce suitable shape functions that meet all the necessary requirements for exhibiting the wormhole geometries with appropriate choice of free *** addition,to examine Dm profiles under the f(R,L_(m))=R/2+(1+λR)L_(m) model,we consider a specific shape ***,we observed that the derived solution from both two models violates the null energy constraints,confirming that the Dm supports wormholes to maintain in the galactic halo.

The early Archean oceans were marked by significant redox changes which have subsequently shaped the Earth’s *** chemical sediments of banded Iron and manganese formations provide important geochemical proxies for these historical shifts in the redox conditions and to trace the ancient sedimentation patterns and *** this study,we investigate the proto-ore of the Archean mn-formations of the Sandur,Chitradurga and Shimoga greenstone belts of Dharwar Craton of southern Peninsular India,which is geochemically characterised as quartz arenites,mn-arenites,Fe-arenites,mn-argillites and *** geochemical systematics suggest their deposition in shallow to deeper shelf in the Archean *** detrital zircon U-Pb systematics of mn arenites and argillites indicate their maximum depositional age of 3230±52 ma representing the oldest onset of sedimentation during the Paleo-mesoarchean timeframe in the Chitradurga Group of Dharwar *** detrital influx proxies suggest variations in sedimentation rates associated with the Archean transgressive-regressive cycles and fluctuating hydrodynamic conditions,together reflecting an increasing trend in the contributions of recycled sediment from Sandur to Chitradurga and Shimoga greenstone *** available detrital zircon ages of the mn arenites and argillites from these greenstone belts indicate a~600 ma prolonged period of mn deposition for which high-T hydrothermal fluids from Archean mid-oceanic ridges supplied the *** trace element compositions of the concordant detrital zircons suggest 3.3-3.1 Ga Dharwar basement TTG/granitoid source which is corroborated by the zircon crystallization temperatures of 690-820℃.The source-normalisedα-dose rates of the detrital zircons signify greater degrees of sediment transport and multi-cycle nature which correspond to the earliest episode of crustal growth in the Indian sub-continent associated with the mesoarchean Ur supercontinent.T

Achieving superior performance in powder-metallurgy near-βtitanium alloy by combining hot rolling and rapid heat treatment followed by aging

Heat treatment plays an important role in tailoring the mechanical properties of powder-metallurgy(Pm)titanium ***,only limited work about the rapid heat treatment(RHT)of Pm titanium alloys has been *** this work,RHT was applied to Pm Ti-5Al-5mo-5v-1Cr-1Fe alloy after hot rolling to study the evolution of its mechanical properties and the influence of residual pores on its *** hot rolling and annealing,a fine and uniformα+βstructure with few residual pores is *** RHT,the primaryαdissolves gradually and completes in theβregion,and theβgrains then grow,resulting in the continuous decrease in elongation after ***,the tensile strength first increases and then decreases with increasing RHT temperature,owing to the increase in volume fraction of secondaryαinα+βregion and theβgrain growth inβ*** contrast to the RHT of cast-and-wrought titanium,the negative influence of residual pores lowers the RHT temperature for obtaining the highest tensile strength to a temperature below theβ-transus *** the negative influence of the residual pores,retained primaryαand fineβgrains with fine secondaryαinside contribute to achieving a good strength/ductility balance(1570 mPa and 6.1%,respectively).Addi-tionally,although at higher cycles to failure,the negative influence of residual pores increases as it affects the crack initiation zone at the subsurface,the good resistance of secondaryαto fatigue crack propaga-tion still enhances the fatigue strength considerably(about 300 mPa).This work suggests a cost-effective strategy to produce titanium alloys with high performance.
