A New Theory(Dynamic Model) of Circulatory Control

Purposes Although many prior studies have addressed the mechanism of circulatory control/regulation, this topic remains a challenging and complex research *** we have been reported the "new theory of breath control" and "mechanism for Cheyne - Stokes breathing" at APS/EB 2011,we introduced the brand new idea of circulation/respiration interconnection in their control and *** take into account detailed intra-breath oscillation information of O,CO and H which generated from alveolar ventilation, and different time delays from alveoli to artery(aorta,carotid and brain) and medulla,we should be able to explain the circulation *** We recorded PO,PCO and flow at the mouth of normal subjects using a very high frequency of data collection(200 Hz) and corrected this for alveolar gas exchange using the lung volume changes,dead space volume,and functional residual capacity(FRC ).Calculated alveolar partial pressure oscillations of O and CO were assumed to be the same as end capillary blood leaving the alveoli and proceeding to the left *** pressures were converted into the concentrations of O,CO and *** left heart(ejection fraction,"mixed - box" rule) decrease the magnitude of the oscillation,we then smoothed the step changes of concentrations by SV and converted concentration back partial pressure in arterial *** also recorded autonomic nervous tone,systolic blood pressure and heart *** The breath generates oscillation signals of O,CO and H are the same oscillations of autonomic nervous tone and heart rate,via the sensors at carotid body and/or central integrative system;and systolic blood pressure,via the pulmonary circulatory *** Lung ventilation generated oscillations signals of O,CO and H are the primary stimulator for circulatory control/regulation

AIM: Genetic polymorphism in enzymes of carcinogen metabolism has been found to have the influence on the susceptibility to cancer. Cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) is considered to play an important role in the metabolic activation of procarcinogens such as N-nitrosoamines and low molecular weight organic compounds. The purpose of this study is to determine whether CYP450 2E1 polymorphisms are associated with risks of gastric cancer. METHODS: We conducted a population based case-control study in Changle county, Fujian Province, a high-risk region of gastric cancer in China. Ninety-one incident gastric cancer patients and ninety-four healthy controls were included in our study. Datas including demographic characteristics, diet intake, and alcohol and tobacco consumption of individuals in our study were completed by a standardized ***-RFLP revealed three genotypes:heterozygote (C1/C2) and two homozygotes (C1/C1 and C2/C2) in CYP2E1. RESULTS: The frequency of variant genotypes (C1/C2 and C2/C2) in gastric cancer cases and controls was 36.3% and 24.5%, respectively. The rare homozygous C2/C2 genotype was found in 6 individuals in gastric cancer group(6.6%), whereas there was only one in the control group (1.1%). However, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (two-tailed Fisher's exact test P=0.066). Individuals in gastric cancer group were more likely to carry genotype C1/C2 (odds ratio, OR=1.50) and C2/C2 (OR=7.34) than individuals in control group (chi(2) =4.597, for trend P=0.032). The frequencies of genotypes with the C2 allele (C1/C2 and C2/C2 genotypes) were compared with those of genotypes without C2 allele (C1/C1 genotype) among individuals in gastric cancer group and control group according to the pattern of gastric cancer risk factors. The results show that individuals who exposed to these gastric cancer risk factors and carry the C2 allele seemed to have a higher risk of developing gastric cancer. CONCLUSION: Poly

In this paper, the first Internet-based collaborative pseudo-dynamic testing of a multi-span bridge system in China’s mainland is presented in detail, which has been carried out by the collaboration of Hunan University (HNU), Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) and Tsinghua University (TU) in China’s mainland, and the University of Southern California (USC) in the USA. The prototype system of Russion River Bridge at Southern California in America is illustrated. Different testing specimens, testing equipments and substructure boundary conditions at HNU and HIT laboratories are described. A network protocol platform for collaborative pseudo-dynamic testing, called NetSLab, and some function modules developed on the use of its standardized interface are introduced. Aiming at the MTS system widely used in structural testing, two approaches are presented to implement the communication interface between NetSLab and testing equipment, respectively, studied by HNU and HIT. The integrated networked testing system and collaborative testing procedures are presented. The testing results manifest that the networked collaborative testing system with powerful capability provides a testing platform with good coordination for complex models or actual structures, and achieves remote sharing of testing equipments.
