Mosquitoes are an interesting topic due to their medical importance, as they play an active role in the transmission of many pathogens and parasites, acting as vectors for various pathologies that are deadly to humans, such as dengue, yellow fever, chikungunya, West nile virus, encephalitis and malaria, among many others that are less common. In terms of morbidity and mortality caused by vector-borne diseases, mosquitoes are the most dangerous animals for humanity and, although they also play a role in the ecosystem as a food source for other organisms, their importance for public health cannot be overlooked. As highly efficient vectors, they put more than three billion people at risk, mainly in tropical and subtropical regions as well as in Europe, since heat waves and flooding are becoming more frequent and severe, and summers are getting longer and warmer, accelerating mosquito development, biting rates, and the incubation of the pathogens within their bodies. Female mosquitoes bite to acquire proteins for the development of their ovaries and eggs and, in the process, acquire pathogens and/or parasites from one vertebrate host and transmit them to another, usually after a short period of replication. Three of their four life stages are lived in still freshwater, so it is crucial to understand their range of action when they reach adulthood and leave the water, in order to plan and implement local prevention measures. A set of georeferenced abundance data collected in mainland Portugal over seven years was linked to cartographed water bodies in a geographic information system to estimate the distances at which Culex pipiens s.l. had a significant presence, with criteria based on the size of the catches. The result allows for an estimate of the fly range of those mosquitoes, which can be used to focus countermeasures.

针对几何失谐整体叶盘结构动力学特性评估问题，开展基于先进光学几何测量技术的高保真整体叶盘数字孪生建模、高性能结构动力学仿真分析和试验验证研究。首先，采用三维结构蓝光扫描系统测取叶片几何型面的高分辨率点云模型，将其直接关联至谐调整体叶盘设计有限元模型，通过网格自适应变形技术实现高保真整体叶盘数字孪生模型的高效构建。其次，整体叶盘数字孪生高性能动力学仿真分析方法立足于大规模几何失谐整体叶盘模型的新型动力学减缩技术，其核心是利用各几何失谐单扇区结构的循环对称模态振型来构建数字孪生整盘模型的减缩模态基底，以减少计算内存和时长的消耗。试验结果表明，针对实体整体叶盘模拟件结构构建的高保真数字孪生模型既能有效地捕获叶片微小几何失谐对其“扇区”频率和振型的影响，也能较为准确地预测旋转整体叶盘在发动机阶次激励作用下的失谐振动响应特性。

Since their first description in the brains of patients suffering from Alzheimer ’s disease(AD), more than 100 years ago, extracellular amyloid-β(Aβ) plaques and intracellular neurofibrillary tangles have been the principal focus of AD research. However, this focus has led to the failure of several long and promising clinical trials, and the efficacy of new Aβ-targeting drugs to slow down the disease progression is still controversial despite being successful in reducing the Aβ load.

The last decades have represented an important season in the re-conceptualization of brain plasticity,especially in extending the concept at events occurring beyond the developmental stage and in demonstrating the profound impact of these changes on so-called spontaneous recovery after central nervous system(CnS)*** study of the cellular,molecular,functional and structural mechanisms involved in brain plasticity has clearly emphasized the multitude of players engaged in this phenomenon,leading to the conceptualization that non-neuronal cells and non-neuronal mechanisms intervene in these changes and orchestrate some of the responses observed(Werner and Stevens,2015).Among the different non-neuronal cells and non-neuronal substrates of injury-induced plasticity is becoming increasingly recognized that microglia drive a series of intrinsic CnS responses after damage(Sandvig et al.,2018;Bisicchia et al.,2019).

BACKGROUnD Percutaneous bilateral biliary stenting is an established method for the management of unresectable malignant hilar biliary *** To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel uncovered biliary stent, specifically designed for hilar *** This, single-center, retrospective study included 18 patients(mean age 71 ± 11 years;61.1% male) undergoing percutaneous transhepatic Moving cell stent(MCS) placement for hilar reconstruction using the stent-in-stent technique for malignant biliary strictures, between november 2020 and July 2021. The Patients were diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma(12/18;66.6%), gallbladder cancer(5/18;27.7%), and colorectal liver metastasis(1/18;5.5%). Primary endpoints were technical(appropriate stent placement) and clinical(relief from jaundice) success. Secondary endpoints included stent patency, overall survival, complication rates and stent-related *** The technical and clinical success rates were 100%(18/18 cases). According to Kaplan-Meier analysis, the estimated overall patient survival was 80.5% and 60.4% at 6 and 12 mo respectively, while stent patency was 90.9% and 68.2% at 6 mo and 12 mo respectively. The mean stent patency was 172.53 ± 56.20 d and median stent patency was 165 d(range 83-315). Laboratory tests for cholestasis significantly improved after procedure: mean total bilirubin decreased from 15.2 ± 6.0 mg/d L to 1.3 ± 0.4 mg/d L(P n γGT decreased from 1389 ± 832 U/L to 114.6 ± 53.5 U/L(P ne periprocedural complication was reported. Stent-related complications were observed in 5 patients(27.7%), including 1 occlusion(5.5%) and 1 stent migration(5.5 %).COnCLUSIOn Percutaneous hilar bifurcation biliary stenting with the MCS resulted in excellent clinical and technical success rates, with acceptable complication rates. Further studies are needed to confirm these initial positive results.
