Chronic hepatitis B(CHB)is a significant public health problem *** aim of the present review is to summarize the actual trends in the management of CHB in pregnant *** prevalence of hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection in pregnant women is usually comparable to that in the general population in the corresponding geographic *** women have to be screened for hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)during *** examinations of pregnant women with CHB may include maternal hepatitis B e antigen,HBV viral load,alanine aminotransferase level,and HBsAg *** management of pregnancy depends on the phase of the HBV infection,which has to be determined before *** women of childbearing age with CHB,antiviral therapy can pursue two main goals:Treatment of active CHB,and vertical transmission *** pregnancy,tenofovir is the drug of choice in both cases.A combination of hepatitis B immunoglobulin and vaccine against hepatitis B should be administered within the first 12 h to all infants born to mothers with *** such cases,there are no contraindications to breastfeeding.

In the present study, we investigated the effect of cerium and erbium doping of the zirconium dioxide matrix. We synthesized doped samples using hydrothermal process. The amounts of dopant used were 0.5%, 1% and 5% molar(rare earth oxide over zirconium dioxide) respectively. The samples have been studied via X-ray Diffraction measurements for the structural characterization. UV visible diffuse reflectance was used for the optical analysis, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) model for the measurement of the surface area. Finally the samples have been analysed via electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR) for the electronic characterization. Then we tested the new synthetized materials to determine their photocatalytic activity in the reaction of degradation of methylene blue performed under irradiation by diodes(LEDs) emitting exclusively visible light.

Late blight is one of the most important potato diseases. To minimize yield losses, various protective measures are used including fungicide application. Active use of fungicides results in a contamination of the environment. Therefore, crop protection strategies optimizing the number of treatments are of great *** information about late blight development in an experimental potato field recorded over 30 seasons, a simulator to forecast yield losses caused by the disease was developed based on the number of 5-d periods favorable for reinfection of plants during a vegetation season. The simulator was successfully verified using independent data on the disease development from nine unprotected potato fields in the Netherlands and Germany. The average difference between the calculated and real yield losses did not exceed 5%. Using the simulator and weather data for a period of 2007–2017, yield losses were calculated for several areas of the Bryansk, Tambov, and Orenburg Regions of Russia. The results revealed differences in disease development between these regions and may be used to develop recommendations for a frequency of fungicide applications according to the regional risk of epidemics, leading to a significant reduction in fungicide use.

The detection of early gastric cancer that often develops asymptomatically is crucial for improving patient *** photodynamic diagnosis(PDD)of gastric cancer using 5-aminolevulinic acid/protoporphyrin IX(5-ALA/PpIX)has been reported in several ***,the selectivity of PDD of gastric tumor is poor with often false-positive results that require the development of new methods to improve PDD for early gastric ***,a measure of the complexity of gastric microcirculation(multi-scale entropy,MSE)and the detrendedfluctuation analysis(DFA)were applied as additional tools to detect early gastric cancer in *** this experimental study,we used our original model of metastatic adenocarcinoma in the stomach of a *** induce a gastric tumor,we used a long-term combination(for 9 months,which is 1/2 of the life of rats)of two natural factors,such as chronic stress(overpopulation being typical for modern cities)and the daily presence of nitrites in food and drinks,which are common ingredients added to processed meat andfish to help preserve *** results clearly show that both methods,namely,PDD using 5-ALA/PpIX and complexity/correlation analysis,can detect early gastric cancer,which was confirmed by histological ***-cancerous areas in the stomach were detected as an intermediatefluorescent signal or MSE level between normal and malignant lesions of the ***,in some cases,PDD with 5-ALA/PpIX produced a false-positivefluorescence of exogenousfluorophores due to its accumulation in benign and inflammatory areas of the *** fact indicates that the PDD itself is not sufficient for the correct diagnosis of gastric cancer,and the use of additional characteristics,e.g.,complexity measures or scaling exponents,can significantly improve the diagnostic accuracy of PDD of gastric cancer that should be confirmed in further clinical studies and applications.

In this study,we examined the effect of synanthropic house mouse(Mus musculus)urine odor on catching probability of small mammals to live *** conducted a series of field experiments in August 2016 and 2017 in a natural forests of the northwestern Moscow Region(Russia).Small mammals were trapped at two 4-ha fields using capture-mark-recapture technique by setting 200 live traps(100 points,2 traps per point)within each *** trap in each pair was odorless(control)with bait only,whereas the other one was odor-baited with 20μL of the urine of a synanthropic house *** analysis was based on the data collected from 2 rodent species(bank vole Myodes glareolus,herb field mouse Apodemus uralensis)and 3 shrew species(common shrew Sorex araneus,Laxmann’s shrew Sorex caecutiens,and Eurasian pygmy shrew Sorex minutus).As a result,only bank voles significantly avoided odor-baited live *** generalized linear mixed models,we showed that the choice of a trap by bank voles depended on their age,whereas the probability of repeated capture to a certain live trap was related to their prior *** discuss the possible role of components of synanthropic house mouse urine in the population management of exoanthropic small mammals.

Magnetotactic bacteria(MTB),ubiquitous in soil and fresh and saltwater sources have been identified in the microbiome of humans and many *** endogenously produce magnetic nanocrystals enabling them to orient and navigate along geomagnetic *** magnetite deposits have been found throughout the tissues of the human brain,including brain regions associated with orientation such as the cerebellum and hippocampus,the origins of which remain *** over the role and source of MTB in humans,as well as any association with the brain,remain *** performed a metagenomic analysis of the gut microbiome of 34 healthy females as well as grey matter volume analysis in magnetite-rich brain regions associated with orientation and navigation with the goal of identifying specific MTB that could be associated with brain structure in orientation and navigation *** identified seven MTB in the human gut microbiome:Magnetococcus marinus,Magnetospira ***-2,Magnetospirillum magneticum,Magnetospirillum ***-1,Magnetospirillum ***-1,Magnetospirillum gryphiswaldense,and Desulfovibrio *** preliminary results show significant negative associations between multiple MTB with bilateral flocculonodular lobes of the cerebellum and hippocampus(adjusted for total intracranial volume,uncorrected P<0.05).These findings indicate that MTB in the gut are associated with grey matter volume in magnetite-rich brain regions related to orientation and *** preliminary findings support MTB as a potential biogenic source for brain magnetite in *** studies will be necessary to validate and elucidate the relationship between these bacteria,magnetite concentrations,and brain function.
