Im.ortance:The 3-m.n step test is a sim.le option to m.nitor subm.xim.l exercise capacity,although its use via rem.te video m.nitoring has not been investigated in children with cystic fibrosis(CF).Objective:This study aim.d to assess the feasibility and reproducibility of perform.ng the 3-m.n step test with rem.te ***:A cross-sectional study including CF patients(6-18 years)from.two CF services were ***,anthropom.tric,clinical,and lung function data were collected and two 3-m.n step tests were perform.d:(i)in-person supervision,and(ii)rem.tely supervised by video *** and after the tests,heart rate(HR),oxygen saturation(SpO2),and the Borg score for dyspnea and lower lim. fatigue were ***:Twenty-three patients(10.7±3.7 years)with a m.an FEV1 of 89.5%±23.2%were *** were no significant differences between tests,with m.an differences(95%confidence intervals)in final HR of-3.3(-8.9,2.4),change in HR of-1.9(-6.1,2.1),final SpO2 of 0.3(-0.4,1.0),and final dyspnea of 0.1(-0.8,0.9).The intraclass correlation coefficient was 0.852(final HR),0.762(final SpO2),and 0.775(final lower lim. fatigue).Significant and m.derate correlations were found between tests for final HR(r=0.75),change in HR(r=0.61),and final SpO2(r=0.61).The Bland-Altm.n analysis showed a m.an difference in final SpO2 between tests of 0.3%(lim.t of agreem.nt-3.0%,3.5%).Interpretation:Physiological responses between tests were sim.lar,indicating it was feasible to perform.the 3-m.n step test with rem.te supervision in CF children.

Sugarcane is an im.ortant tropical crop, responsible for two thirds of the world sugar production, gaining actually im.ortance as a source of biofuel. Drought tolerance is a very im.ortant feature considering the actual clim.te change scenario throughout the world. This study aim.d to determ.ne the genetic diversity between sugarcane varieties with contrasting features under drought. For this purpose, twelve ISSR prim.rs were used to characterize nine sugarcane varieties under cultivation in different countries including selected drought resistant m.terial from.Northeast Brazil and two varieties from.India as contrasting genotypes. 317 scorable bands were generated, am.ng which 301 com.rised polym.rphic m.rkers, with an average of 25 polym.rphic bands per prim.r. In the generated dendrogram.the accessions were placed in clusters, where cluster A included two varieties from.India (Co331 and Co419), and B com.rised plants eight Brazilian accessions and a ‘Barbado’ variety. Within this clade, drought tolerant and susceptible varieties were clearly separated. The present evaluation revealed im.ortant contrasting parental candidates regarding their drought response, very prom.sing for future m.pping approaches aim.ng the identification of quantitative trait loci (QTLs) associated to drought in sugarcane. The selected prim.rs were used for the first tim. in sugarcane, representing valuable tools for future evaluations, with em.hasis to diversity characterization and genetic m.pping.

The present study was to evaluate the effect of trace m.nerals(Zn,m.,and Cu)from.com.lexed am.no acid m.nerals(Zm.AA)and bis-glycinate chelated m.nerals(Zm.Gly)in laying hen diets on perform.nce,internal and external egg quality,yolk m.neral deposition,intestinal m.rphom.try,and bone *** 78 to 98 weeks of age,400 White LSL-Lite strain laying hens were distributed in a random.zed design with 4 treatm.nts with 10 replicates per *** were distributed in a 2×2 factorial arrangem.nt using either Zn,m.,and Cu of Zm.AA or Zm.Gly source at 2 levels:low(20,20,and 3.5 m./kg of Zn,m.,and Cu,respectively)or high(40,40,and 7 m./kg of Zn,m.,and Cu,respectively).The analysis of variance was perform.d,and in cases where differences were observed,the m.ans were com.ared using Tukey?s test(Pm.neral supplem.ntation had a significant im.act on the perform.nce of laying *** fed Zm.AA had higher egg production(P=0.01),egg weight(P=0.02),egg m.ss(P=0.01),and lower feed conversion ratio(P=0.05)com.ared to those fed *** Zm.AA supplem.ntation showed higher album.n height(P=0.01),album.n weight(P=0.01),and eggshell thickness(Pm.(Pm.try(Pm.AA *** the sm.ll intestine,Zm.AA resulted in longer villi(P=0.02)and shorter crypt depth(P=0.01)in the *** and ileum.m.asurem.nts were influenced by the level and source of trace m.nerals(Pm.AA exhibited superior perform.nce,egg quality,deposition of trace m.nerals in the egg yolk,and bone density com.ared to hens fed *** this study,older laying hens supplem.nted with Zm.AA at lower levels dem.nstrated adequate levels of supplem.ntation.
