Mushrooms either alone or in combination with conventional cancer treatment have been enhanced the efficacy of chemotherapy and radiotherapy improving the patients’quality of *** therapy effects have been attributed to polysaccharides;the most potent compounds found in the fungi *** to their wide range of biological activity and the backbone of glucose residues linked byβ-(1→3)-glycosidic bonds,often with attached side-chain glucose residues joined byβ-(1→6)linkages,the mushroom’s polysaccharides,particularly theβ-glucans,are the most versatile ***,D-fraction,and schizophyllan from Lentinula edodes,Grifola frondosa,and Schizophyllum commune,respectively are well-knownβ-glucans,however,the precise immunomodulation and anticancer mechanisms of action remain to be *** to several studies,β-glucan can interact with certain receptors on macrophages and dendritic cells,such as dectin-1 and TLRs,producing different cytokines and,in turn,indirectly activating other immune cells including T and B ***,recent findings have proved thatβ-glucans have a direct cytotoxic effect on cancer cells suppressing proliferation and enhancing apoptosis possibly via multiple pathways such as PI3K/Akt/mTOR,NF-κB-,eRK-,eRα-,caspase-and p53-dependent ***,this study intends to provide information on the lentinan,D-fraction,and schizophyllan by examining the extraction procedures,chemical composition,and immunostimulatory and antitumoral biological *** research directions should be directed toward improving the validity and reliability of randomized trials to confirm the potential role ofβ-glucans on the immune system and as anticancer therapy.

In previous papers,the authors presented various electromagnetic transient(eMT)results for multi-infeed configurations focusing on possible effects from failures in one link being transferred to others in terms of induced commutation failures(CF),either during the fault events or after fault clearing in the recovery ***,the AC system networks in these cases were represented by simplified *** interesting conclusions arose from these publications without enabling a much-detailed analysis of overall system effects,which is only possible when the network is modeled in full *** paper aims at complementing and comparing simulation results on HVDC multi-infeed configurations using both dynamic stability and electromagnetic transient,while establishing some basic proposals for optimal use of both *** identifies the limitations from each type of study so that a comprehensive and useful analysis of HVDC multi-infeed systems can be obtained.

A CMOS wideband front-end chip using direct RF sampling mixer with embedded discrete-time filtering

A CMOS wideband front-end IC is demonstrated in this *** consists of a low noise transconductance amplifier（LNTA） and a direct RF sampling mixer（DSM） with embedded programmable discrete-time *** LNTA has the features of 0.5-6 GHz wideband,wideband input matching and low *** embedded filter following the DSM operates in discrete-time charge domain,filtering the aliasing signals and interferences while controlling the IF bandwidth according to the clock *** measured NF of the front-end was below 7 dB throughout the whole band from 0.5 to 6 *** shows a conversion gain of 12.6 dB and IP_（1dB） of-7.5 dBm at 2.4 *** occupies a chip area of 0.23 mm^2 and consumes 14 mA DC current.

extending dynamic models of mining subsidence

The movement and deformation processes of the overburden strata and ground surface, induced by underground mining, are affected by mining method, spatial relationships, geotechnical conditions of the rock strata and time. The authors reviewed and extended an existing classical prediction model of the dynamic subsidence, and proposed potential new research avenues offered by Cellular Automata (CA) models. The Knothe's influence function model and the significance of subcritical mining geometry were analyzed. The prediction results were verified against the subsidence field survey data to assess their quality and acceptability.

A mathematical model is presented in order to describe the dynamics of polygamous populations, bearing in mind single individuals of both sexes and the development of reproductive groups. In this context, the description leads us to consider positive homogeneous dynamical systems, establishing conditions for the stationary state existence and its local stability. A fourth pre-reproductive stage was considered, i.e. males and females spend part of their lives before being in condition to reproduce, as a first step to consider more general models. Finally, we parametrized the proposed model using southern elephant seal data, to analyze the direct applicability to a real population.

Quasinormal modes of a Schwarzschild black hole immersed in an electromagnetic universe

We study the quasinormal modes （QNMs） of a Schwarzschild black hole immersed in an electromagnetic （eM） universe. The immersed Schwarzschild black hole （ISBH） originates from the metric of colliding eM waves with double polarization [Class. Quantum Grav. 12, 3013 （1995）]. The perturbation equations of the scalar fields for the ISBH geometry are written in the form of separable equations. We show that these equations can be transformed to the confluent Heun＇s equations, for which we are able to use known techniques to perform analytical quasinormal （QNM） analysis of the solutions. Furthermore, we employ numerical methods （Mashhoon and 6^th-order Wentzel- Kramers-Brillouin （WKB）） to derive the QNMs. The results obtained are discussed and depicted with the appropriate plots.

Multiple efforts have been performed worldwide around diverse aspects of land ***,land administration data and systems’notorious heterogeneity remains a longstanding challenge to develop a harmonized *** this sense,the traditional Spatial Data Infrastructures adoption is not enough to overcome this challenge since data sources’heterogeneity implies needs related to harmonization interoperability,sharing,and integration in land administration *** paper proposes a graph-based represen-tation of knowledge for integrating multiple and heterogeneous data sources(tables,shape-files,geodatabases,and WFS services)belonging to two Colombian agencies within a decentralized land administration *** knowledge graphs are developed on an ontology-based knowledge representation using national and international standards for land *** approach aims to prevent data isolation,enable cross-datasets integration,accomplish machine-processable data,and facilitate the reuse and exploitation of multi-jurisdictional datasets in a single approach.A real case study demonstrates the applicability of the land administration data cycle deployed.

We study light rays in the static and spherically symmetric gravitational field of the null aether theory(NAT).To this end,we employ the Gauss-Bonnet theorem to compute the deflection angle formed by a NAT black hole in the weak limit *** the optical metrics of the NAT black hole,we first obtain the Gaussian curvature and then calculate the leading terms of the deflection *** calculations indicate how gravitational lensing is affected by the NAT *** also illustrate that the bending of light stems from global and topological effects.
