Helicobacter pylori and EBV in gastric carcinomas:Methylation status and microsatellite instability

AIM:To verify the methylation status of CDH1, DAPK, COX2, hMLH1 and CDKN2A genes and to evaluate their association with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)-cagA+ and Epstein Barr virus (EBV) infections in gastric ***: Methylation-specific PCR (MsP) assay was performed in 89 primary gastric carcinomas (intestinal and diffuse types). Microsatellite instability (MsI) analysis was performed using the BAT26 primer set and PCR products were analyzed with the ABI PRIsM 3100 Genetic Analyzer using Genescan 3.7 software (Applied Biosystems). detection of H. pylori and genotyping were performed by PCR, using specifi c primers for ureaseC and cagA genes. The presence of EBV was assessed by in situ hybridization. statistical analyses were performed using the χ2 or Fisher's exact ***: The most frequent hypermethylated gene was COX-2 (63.5%) followed by DAPK (55.7%), CDH1 (51%), CDKN2A (36%) and hMLH1 (30.3%). Intestinal and diffuse adenocarcinomas showed different methylation profiles and there was an association between methylation of E-CDH1 and H. pylori-cagA+ in the intestinal adenocarcinoma type. MsI was correlated with hMLH1 methylation. There was an inverse correlation between DAPK hypermethylation and ***: We found a strong association between CDH1 methylation and H. pylori-cagA+ in intestinal-type gastric cancer, association of MsI and better prognosis and an heterogeneous COX-2 overexpression.

Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have been widely used in military,medical,wireless communications,aerial surveillance,*** key topic involving UAVs is pose estimation in autonomous navigation.A standard procedure for this process is to combine inertial navigation system sensor information with the global navigation satellite system(GNss)***,some factors can interfere with the GNss signal,such as ionospheric scintillation,jamming,or *** alternative method to avoid using the GNss signal is to apply an image processing approach by matching UAV images with georeferenced *** a high effort is required for image edge *** a support vector regression(sVR)model is proposed to reduce this computational load and processing *** dynamic partial reconfiguration(DPR)of part of the sVR datapath is implemented to accelerate the process,reduce the area,and analyze its granularity by increasing the grain size of the reconfigurable *** show that the implementation in hardware is 68 times faster than that in *** architecture with DPR also facilitates the low power consumption of 4 mW,leading to a reduction of 57%than that without *** is also the lowest power consumption in current machine learning hardware ***,the circuitry area is 41 times *** with Gaussian kernel shows a success rate of 99.18%and minimum square error of 0.0146 for testing with the planning *** system is useful for adaptive applications where the user/designer can modify/reconfigure the hardware layout during its application,thus contributing to lower power consumption,smaller hardware area,and shorter execution time.

This paper aims to create visible light driven ternary photocatalysts using zinc oxide(ZnO),cerium(IV)oxide(CeO_(2)),and carbon xerogel(CX) as constituent *** use of CeO_(2) is based on the creation of direct-Z-scheme heterojunctions with the ZnO and the consequent diminishing of charge recombination,whereas the carbon xerogel inclusion is predicted to minimize bandgap energy,decrease electro n-hole reco mbination,and boost specific surface *** re,the choice of the black-wattle tannin as a carbonaceous precursor was targeted at the development of an environmentally friendly and affordable *** existence of the hexagonal phase of zinc oxide and cubic structure of the cerium(IV) oxide in the ternary material was confirmed by X-ray diffractometry and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,with the latter also suggesting chemical bonding between the ZnO and the CX due to the creation of zinc oxycarbide *** inclusion of the carbon xerogel provokes a significant modification in the morphology of the ternary material,resulting in an increased surface area and smaller particle *** CX/ZnO-CeO_(2) ternary composite obtains the highest photocatalytic efficiency among all the materials studied,degrading 100% of 4-chlorophenol under simulated sunlight and 68% under visible radiation,after 5 *** increased photocatalytic activity can be attributed to the formation of direct Z-scheme heterojunctions between the semiconductors,higher visible light response,and higher specific surface area,as evidenced by the results obtained by active radical scavenging,chronoamperometry,diffuse reflectance spectroscopy,and N_(2) adsorption-desorption isotherms.

This work reports the growth and characterization of p-AlInN layers doped with Mg by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy(PAMBE).AlInN was grown with an Al molar fraction of 0.80 by metal-modulated epitaxy(MME)with a thickness of 180 nm on si(111)substrates using AlN as buffer *** substrate temperatures were used to enhance the incorporation of indium atoms into the alloy without clustering,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Cathodoluminescence measurements revealed ultraviolet(UV)range ***,Hall effect measurements indicated a maximum hole mobility of 146 cm^(2)/(V∙s),corresponding to a free hole concentration of 1.23×10^(19)cm^(−3).The samples were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPs)estimating the alloy composition and extracting the Fermi level by valence band ***-doped AlInN layers were studied for use as the electron-blocking layer(EBL)in LED *** varied the Al composition in the EBL from 0.84 to 0.96 molar fraction to assess its theoretical effects on electroluminescence,carrier concentration,and electric field,using sILVACO *** results from this study highlight the importance and capability of producing high-quality Mg-doped p-AlInN layers through *** simulations suggest that an Al content of 0.86 is optimal for achieving desired outcomes in electroluminescence,carrier concentration,and electric field.

Currently,both regulated and deregulated power trading exist in China’s power system,which has caused imbalanced funds in the electricity *** this paper,a simulation analysis of the electricity market with wind energy resources is conducted,and the calculation methods of unbalanced funds are investigated *** detail,the calculation formulas of unbalanced funds are illustrated based on their definition,and a two-track electricity market clearing model is ***,the concept of the dual-track system is explained,and the specific calculation formulas of various types of unbalanced funds are ***,considering the renewable energy consumption,the market clearing model based on DC power flow is constructed and solved;by combining fitting methods of mid-and long-term curves,the unbalanced funds are calculated based on clearing results and formulas.

Immunosuppression can lead to opportunistic infections in a *** evidence of viral infections causing immunosuppression in a host for a transient period is gaining *** order to prolong their stay in the human body,viruses affect the human immune systemin various *** viral infections such as influenza can lead to transient lymphocytopenia,which lays the groundwork for more dangerous opportunistic ***(CMV)infection is a rare cause of inflammatory *** present the case of a patient with an influenza infection who progressed to severe acute respiratory distress syndrome,methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus necrotizing pneumonia,and idiopathic lymphocytopenia with a CD4 count of 61 perμL on *** 2 weeks,the patient developed complete flaccid paralysis with sensory and autonomic *** his polymerase chain reaction results of cerebrospinal fluid and blood test were positive for CMV infection,he was treated with high doses of steroids and ganciclovir *** to early diagnosis and intervention,the patient was able to recover in 2 months with only minimal residual ***,this case stresses on the importance of looking out for opportunistic infections in patients affected by severe viral infections for their early recovery.

All-solid-state batteries(AssBs)are a class of safer and higher-energy-density materials compared to conventional devices,from which solid-state electrolytes(ssEs)are their essential *** date,investigations to search for high ion-conducting solid-state electrolytes have attracted broad ***,obtaining ssEs with high ionic conductivity is challenging due to the complex structural information and the less-explored structure-performance *** provide a solution to these challenges,developing a database containing typical ssEs from available experimental reports would be a new avenue to understand the structureperformance relationships and find out new design guidelines for reasonable ***,a dynamic experimental database containing>600 materials was developed in a wide range of temperatures(132.40–1261.60 K),including mono-and divalent cations(e.g.,Li^(+),Na^(+),K^(+),Ag^(+),Ca^(2+),Mg^(2+),and Zn^(2+))and various types of anions(e.g.,halide,hydride,sulfide,and oxide).Data-mining was conducted to explore the relationships among different variates(e.g.,transport ion,composition,activation energy,and conductivity).Overall,we expect that this database can provide essential guidelines for the design and development of high-performance ssEs in AssB *** database is dynamically updated,which can be accessed via our open-source online system.
