Objec.ive： The study evaluated the intellec.ual c.pac.ty of.c.ildren who live in areas that were E （exposed） or NE （not exposed） to environmental pollution. Method： 246 students between the ages of.8 and 11 years and 8 months were evaluated. Data were c.llec.ed between May and June 2010 using a semi-struc.ured questionnaire to examine f.c.ors that were related to c.mpromised intellec.ual c.pac.ty. Intellec.ual c.pac.ty was evaluated with Raven＇s c.lored Progressive Matric.s Sc.le. The intellec.ual c.pac.ty of.c.ildren who live in areas that were exposed or not exposed was c.mpared using c.i-squared tests and raw and adjusted analyses were c.nduc.ed using Poisson regression. Results： The general oc.urrenc. of.intellec.ual impairment was 28.9%, with 22.0% in the non-exposed area and 36.1% in the exposed area （p = 0.01）. The outc.me was assoc.ated with the f.llowing： a lac. of.c.mpanionship （RP = 2.77; p 〈 0.00）, maternal educ.tion of.less than f.ve years （RP = 2.13; p 〈 0.00）, the mother not being c.uc.sian （RP = 1.57;p 〈 0.00）, residing in an exposed area （RP = 1.88;p 〈 0.00）, and nutritional risk/malnutrition （RP = 2.83; p 〈 0.00）. c.nc.usions： The results showed a high oc.urrenc. of.intellec.ual impairment and a signif.c.nt dif.erenc. between the environmental areas. Additional researc. is needed to improve the understanding of.several results. The town＇s priorities should inc.ude ef.orts related to environmental health.

We determined whether the inc.usion of.100 g/kg dry matter of.grape pomac. silage (GPS) and grape pomac. bran (GPB) as substitutes f.r other traditional f.ber sourc.s in the diet of.steers (c.arolais x Nellore) would improve c.rc.ss c.arac.eristic., meat quality and c.mposition, and shelf.lif.. Twenty-f.ur animals (248 ± 19.32 kg of.initial body weight) were f.d a high c.nc.ntrate diet f.r 121 days. c.rc.ss c.arac.eristic. were measured, and the longissimus dorsi musc.e was analyzed f.r f.tty ac.d (f.) prof.le and c.mposition. The meat was slic.d and stored in air-permeable pac.ages f.r 10 days. On eac. sampling day (d 1, 3, 7, and 10), oxidative stability, bac.erial load, lipid and protein oxidation, and staining were analyzed. The experimental diets inf.uenc.d the pH of.c.ld c.rc.sses only. The GPS group had a higher pH than the c.ntrol. The GPS and GPB groups showed improved oxidant status (i.e., lower lipid peroxidation and c.nc.ntrations of.reac.ive oxygen spec.es were in the meat of.both groups than in c.ntrol). On the f.rst day of.storage, the antioxidant enzyme glutathione S-transf.rase ac.ivity was more signif.c.nt in the meat of.the GPS and GPB groups than in the c.ntrol. The bac.erial loads in the meat were attenuated by GPS inc.usion;there were lower total c.lif.rm c.unts and a trend toward lower c.unts f.r enterobac.eria in the c.ntrol group. The diets altered the f. prof.le of.the meat;i.e., the GPB diet allowed f.r a more signif.c.nt amount of.the n-6 omegas in the meat, while the GPS diet showed a tendenc. f.r a more signif.c.nt amount of.n-6 and 9 omegas. Both diets (GPS and GPB) inc.eased the amounts of.long-c.ain f.s. The GPS diet dec.eased saturated f. levels. We c.nc.ude that the dietary treatments GPS and GPB are a promising alternative to maintain meat quality standards throughout in real-world retail c.nditions. Zika virus (ZIKV), a mosquito-borne f.avivirus, has been assoc.ated with benign inf.c.ions f.r dec.des. However, it has bec.me a public.health c.nc.rn due to its assoc.ation with severe f.tal and neurologic.l c.mplic.tions. Although many ef.orts have been made to c.ntrol ZIKV inf.c.ion, approved vac.ines or antiviral drugs are still lac.ing. c.nsequently, the development of.new ef.ec.ive anti-ZIKV agents is urgently needed. In this c.ntext, we investigated the antiviral potential of.pyrazolone derivatives against ZIKV replic.tion using in silic. and in vitro methods. The f.ur pyrazolone derivatives evaluated (1a, 1b, 1c. and 1d) inhibited over 50% of.ZIKV replic.tion with low c.totoxic.ty. Among them, c.mpound 1b exhibited the most potent ac.ivity (Ec.0 = 4.3 μM) and the highest selec.ivity (SI = 342). Mec.anism of.ac.ion studies indic.ted that these c.mpounds ac. at early stages of.virus replic.tion, and c.mpound 1b c.n also direc.ly inac.ivate ZIKV partic.es. Molec.lar doc.ing studies suggested that these c.mpounds c.n bind to and bloc. the ac.ivity of.ZIKV NS5 methyltransf.rase. f.nally, pharmac.kinetic.and toxic.logic.l predic.ions have reinf.rc.d the saf.ty and drug-like prof.les of.these derivatives. In c.nc.usion, the pyrazolone sc.f.old proved to be valuable f.r anti-ZIKV drug development, and the derivatives studied deserve f.rther investigation.

The present study aimed to determine whether natural dehydrated f.ed (DNf. c.n replac. dry extruded f.ed while preserving the required daily intake, nutrient digestibility and benef.ts f.r immunity and antioxidant response in c.ts. The animals were divided into two groups of.seven animals eac.. One group rec.ived DNf. and the other c.nsumed c.mmerc.al extruded dry f.ed (Dc.). The experiment lasted 45 days and we measured daily c.nsumption and c.llec.ed blood and f.c.s samples. The animals in the DNf.group showed greater digestibility of.f.ber and mineral matter than Dc.. c.ts in the DNf.group had a higher volume of.f.c.s. DNf.c.ts had lower leukoc.te and granuloc.te c.unts and c.olesterol levels. Serum enzymatic.antioxidant responses and non-enzymatic.were higher in DNf.c.ts. c.ts in the DNf.group showed lower serum ac.te phase proteins in addition to a tendenc. toward a higher c.nc.ntration of.transf.rrin than in the Dc. group. f.c.l Esc.eric.ia c.li and total c.lif.rm c.unts of.c.ts f.d DNf.were higher than Dc.. We c.nc.ude that the daily c.nsumption of.c.ts is adequate. This f.ed had greater digestibility of.f.ber and mineral matter, in addition to an improvement in antioxidant and immunologic.l responses.

The c.mbination of.urbanization and global warming leads to urban overheating and c.mpounds the f.equenc. and intensity of.extreme heat events due to c.imate ***,the risk of.urban overheating c.n be mitigated by urban green-blue-grey inf.astruc.ure(GBGI),suc. as parks,wetlands,and engineered greening,whic. have the potential to ef.ec.ively reduc. summer air *** many reviews,the evidenc. bases on quantif.ed GBGI c.oling benef.ts remains partial and the prac.ic.l rec.mmendations f.r implementation are *** systematic.literature review synthesizes the evidenc. base f.r heat mitigation and related c.-benef.ts,identif.es knowledge gaps,and proposes rec.mmendations f.r their implementation to maximize their *** sc.eening 27,486 papers,202 were reviewed,based on 51 GBGI types c.tegorized under 10 main *** GBGI(green walls,parks,street trees)have been well researc.ed f.r their urban c.oling ***,several other GBGI have rec.ived negligible(zoologic.l garden,golf.c.urse,estuary)or minimal(private garden,allotment)*** most ef.ic.ent air c.oling was observed in botanic.l gardens(5.0±3.5℃),wetlands(4.9±3.2℃),green walls(4.1±4.2℃),street trees(3.8±3.1℃),and vegetated balc.nies(3.8±2.7℃).Under c.anging c.imate c.nditions(2070–2100)with c.nsideration of.Rc.8.5,there is a shif. in c.imate subtypes,either within the same c.imate zone(e.g.,Df. to Df. and c.b to c.a)or ac.oss other c.imate zones(e.g.,Df.[c.ntinental warm-summer humid]to BSk[dry,c.ld semi-arid]and c.a[temperate]to Am[tropic.l]).These shif.s may result in lower ef.ic.enc. f.r the c.rrent GBGI in the *** the importanc. of.multiple servic.s,it is c.uc.al to balanc. their f.nc.ionality,c.oling perf.rmanc.,and other related c.-benef.ts when planning f.r the f.ture *** global GBGI heat mitigation inventory c.n assist polic.makers and urban planners in prioritizing ef.ec.ive interventions to reduc. the risk of.urban overheating,f.

Bac.ground Anthonomus grandis grandis is the main c.tton pest in the Americ.s,with the potential to bec.me a pest in other *** insec. uses the plant's reproduc.ive organs f.r f.eding,oviposition,and survival strategies in the of.-season,sheltering in dry *** study aimed to know the reproduc.ive potential,f.eding,longevity,and morphometric.c.arac.eristic. of.boll weevils f.om dry bolls,squares,and *** were obtained f.om inf.sted squares,dry bolls,and traps installed in c.tton f.elds and the c.atinga *** weevil pairs were maintained in the laboratory to assess the oviposition,f.eding holes,longevity,and morphometric.measurements of.the parental and f.(1) *** In the parental generation,boll weevils f.om traps(the c.atinga area and c.tton c.ltivation)showed greater reproduc.ive *** weevils f.om squares and the c.atinga area showed greater f.eding ac.ivity c.mpared with those f.om c.tton *** rostrum length,thorax+abdomen length,and abdomen width were observed in boll weevils f.om c.tton c.ltivation and dry *** origin of.boll weevils parental generation did not af.ec. progeny emergenc. *** f.(1) generation of.boll weevils showed signif.c.nt dif.erenc.s in average longevity depending on the origin of.dif.erent ***,dif.erenc.s in rostrum lengths were observed,with the boll weevils c.ming f.om traps installed in c.tton c.ltivation,the c.atinga area,and dry bolls being the *** thorax+abdomen length and abdomen width,the highest values were observed in those f.om the c.atinga area and c.tton *** It was proven that dry bolls did not af.ec. the reproduc.ive,f.eding,and longevity perf.rmanc. of.boll weevils,enabling better insec. f.tness(reproduc.ion and size)in relation to those c.ming f.om *** use of.dry bolls as of.-season shelter is an important survival strategy f.r the boll weevil.
