A new observable in heavy ion collision experiments was identified to be sensitive to the hexadecapole deformation of the colliding nuclei. Such deformation is difficult to measure in traditional nuclear electric transition measurements, as it is often overwhelmed by the nuclear quadrupole deformation. This opens the door to gain new insight into nuclear structure with experiments that were designed to study hot and dense nuclear *** structures are determined by the nuclear force, providing fundamental insight into the laws of nature. Microporous polymers(MPs) are studied for their intriguing chemistry and physics as well as their potential application in catalytic transformations, gas-separation processes, water purification and so on. Here, we critically review MPs with respect to the sustainability aspects of their synthesis as well as their applications that have sustainable character. Some MPs have been synthesized from monomers derived from biomass resources, but there is certainly a large potential for further *** are also opportunities to improve the sustainability of MP synthesis in terms of the use of solvents, catalysts, and related aspects. The applications of MPs in processes related to sustainability depend upon multiple properties. A rich and flexible chemistry is important to applications as catalysts for, among other useful reactions, the photoreduction of CO_2 and selective oxidation. The(ultra)micropore volume of MPs are crucial in gas-separation applications such as CO_2 capture, and the chemisorption of CO_2 on MP-tethered alkylamines could offer a means to remove that gas from dilute mixtures. When it comes to the storage of H_2 and CH_4 in MPs for onboard use in fuel cell or biogas cars, volumetric capacity is paramount, meaning that the density of the MPs must be considered. Finally, for use in separation and purifications from liquid mixtures(aqueous or hydrocarbon-based), crosslinked MPs are more limited than the solution-processable MPs that can be more easily processed into films and membranes.

In minimally invasive surgery, one of the main objectives is to ensure safety and target reaching accuracy during needle steering inside the target organ. In this research work, the needle steering approach is determined using a robust control algorithm namely the integral sliding mode control(ISMC) strategy to eliminate the chattering problem associated with the general clinical scenario. In general, the discontinuity component of feedback control input is not appropriate for the needle steering methodology due to the practical limitations of the driving actuators. Thus in ISMC, we have incorporated the replacement of the discontinuous component using a super twisting control(STC)input due to its unique features of chattering elimination and disturbance observation characteristics. In our study, the kinematic model of an asymmetric flexible bevel-tip needle in a soft-tissue phantom is used to evaluate stability analysis. A comparative study based on the analysis of chattering elimination is executed to determine the performance of the proposed control strategy in real-time needle steering with conventional sliding mode control using vision feedback through simulation and experimental results. This validates the efficacy of the proposed control strategy for clinical needle steering.

There have been major developments in endoscopic imaging techniques in recent *** with high definition and magnification can provide high quality images that allow for the histological estimation of lesions in vivo and in situ when combined with ancillary enhancement techniques such as chromoendoscopy(CE)and virtual CE(narrow band imaging fujinon intelligent chromoendoscopy,or i-Scan).Despite the enormous potential for these advanced techniques,their value and feasibility in the clinic are still doubted,particularly in cases of colonic polyps that are slated for removal,where in vivo characterization may be deemed ***,there are several advantages offered by such advanced endoscopic *** with or without magnification demonstrates highly accurate histology and invasion depth prediction,and virtual CE is a feasible and less cumbersome alternative to CE in terms of histological estimation,though not sufficiently accurate for depth invasion ***,the supplementary information provided by advanced imaging systems can assist the endoscopist in the selection of a strategic approach,such as in deciding whether a colonic lesion should be resected,left in situ,or requires more intensive surgical ***,advanced high-resolution imaging techniques may be more cost effective,such that histopathology of lowrisk lesions following resection can be *** results of these evaluations and comparisons with traditional CE are presented and *** together,the benefits provided by these advanced capabilities justify their development,and advocates their use for the treatment and management of colonic polyps.
