To contribute to the empirical literature on innovation in non-profit organizations,this study examines innovation in Private Social Solidarity Institutions with social responses for the elderly in Northern *** enriches the literature by clarifying the concept of innovation applied to non-profit organizations,which represents a perspective different from the business ***,it is important to support the innovation decisionmaking process in similar non-profit *** this study,the population was surveyed through questionnaires based on the PUBLIN research project,which has already been applied in different countries,and the targets were employees of organizations with social responses for the *** sample is small,with 28 respondent institutions and 51 employees,but it is representative,as it includes institutions from all districts in Northern *** study employed a quantitative approach,particularly factor analysis,multiple linear regression,and correlation analyses,using scales already applied in other dimensions of the social sector,to understand the effect of each innovation dimension/determinant on creativity and innovation in nonprofit *** results show that in these organizations with social responses for the elderly,learning orientation,risk-taking,and job satisfaction have a positive impact on innovation.

This work addresses the alloying of titanium aluminides used in aircraft engine applications and automobiles. The oxidation resistance behavior of two titanium aluminides of α2 ＋ γ （Ti3Al ＋ TiAl） and orthorhombic Ti2NbAl, recognized as candidates for high-temperature applications, was investigated by exposure of the alloys for 100 h in air. Thus, oxidation resistance was expressed as the mass gain rate, whereas surface aspects were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy in conjunction with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and the type of oxidation products was analyzed by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. The orthorhombic Ti2NbAl alloy was embrittled, and pores and microcracks were formed as a result of oxygen diffusion through the external oxide layer formed during thermal oxidation for 100 h.

Oscillating field stimulation(OFS)with regular alterations in the polarity of electric current is a unique,experimental approach to stimulate,support,and potentially guide the outgrowth of both sensory and motor nerve fibers after spinal cord injury(SCI).In previous experiments,we demonstrated the beneficial effects of OFS in a 4-week survival period after *** this study,we observed the major behavioral,morphological,and protein changes in rats after 15 minutes of T9 spinal compression with a 40 g force,followed by long-lasting OFS(50μA),over a 8-week survival *** groups of rats were analyzed:rats after T9 spinal compression(SCI group);SCI rats subjected to implantation of active oscillating field stimulator(OFS+SCI group);and SCI rats subjected to nonfunctional OFS(nOFS+SCI group).Histopathological analysis of spinal tissue indicated a strong impact of epidural OFS on the reduction of tissue and myelin loss after SCI in the segments adjacent to the lesion *** fluorescent analysis of the most affected areas of spinal cord tissue revealed a higher number of spared axons and oligodendrocytes of rats in the OFS+SCI group,compared with rats in the SCI and nOFS+SCI *** protein levels of neurofilaments(NF-l),growth-associated protein-43(marker for newly sprouted axons),and myelin basic protein in rats were signifiantly increased in the OFS+SCI group than in the nOFS+SCI and SCI *** suggests a supporting role of the OFS in axonal and myelin regeneration after ***,rats in the OFS+SCI group showed great improvements in sensory and motor functions than did rats in the nOFS+SCI and SCI *** these findings suggest that long-lasting OFS applied immediately after SCI can provide a good microenviroment for recovery of damaged spinal tissue by triggering regenreative processes in the acute phase of injury.

The gradual elucidation of the underlying biology of colorectal cancer has provided new insights and therapeutic options for patients with metastatic disease which are selected according to predictive biomarkers. This precision medicine paradigm, however, is incomplete since not all eligible patients respond to these agents and prognostic stratification is largely based on clinicopathologic variants. Importantly, no robust data exist to help properly select patients with localized disease at high risk for recurrence and most likely to benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy. There is a rapidly expanding body of literature regarding the role of the qualitative and quantitative analysis of circulating free DNA in various neoplasms, which consistently outperforms traditional tumor markers both as a predictive and as a prognostic marker. Several lines of evidence suggest that circulating free DNA may exhibit a complementary role to existing modalities for the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer, the selection of patients for adjuvant chemotherapy, for the followup of treated patients, for the selection of treatment for advanced disease and the assessment of response and for determining the prognosis of patients. These data, which are reviewed here, illustrate the important role that circulating biomarkers may soon have at the daily clinical practice.

MM： To evaluate the prevalence of HFE gene mutation and indices of disturbed iron homeostasis in alcoholics with and without liver disease. METHODS： One hundred and fifty-three heavy drinkers （defined as alcohol consumption 〉 80 g/d for at least 5 years） were included in the study. These comprised 78 patients with liver disease [liver disease alcoholics （LDA）] in whom the presence of liver disease was confirmed by liver biopsy or clinical evidence of hepatic decompensation, and 75 subjects with no evidence of liver disease, determined by normal liver tests on two occasions [non-liver disease alcoholics （NLDA）], were consecutively enrolled. Serum markers of iron status and HFE C282Y and H63D mutations were determined. HFE genotyping was compared with data obtained in healthy blood donors from the same geographical area. RESULTS： Gender ratio was similar in both study groups. LDA patients were older than NLDA patients （52 ± 10 years vs 48 ± 11 years, P = 0.03）. One third and one fifth of the study population had serum transferrin saturation （TS） greater than 45% and 60% respectively. Serum iron levels were similar in both groups. However, LDA patients had higher TS （51 ± 27 vs 36 ± 13, P 〈 0.001） and ferritin levels （559 ± 607 ng/mL vs 159 ± 122 ng/mL, P 〈 0.001）, and lower total iron binding capacity （TIBC）（241 ± 88 μg/dL vs 279 ± 40 μg/dL, P = 0.001）. The odds ratio for having liver disease with TS greater than 45% was 2.20 （95% confidence interval （CI）： 1.37-3.54）. There was no difference in C282Y allelic frequency between the two groups. However, H63D was more frequent in LDA patients （0.25 vs 0.16, P = 0.03）. LDA patients had a greater probability of carrying at least one HFE mutation than NLDA patients （49.5% vs 31.6%, P = 0.02）. The odds ratio for LDA in patients with H63D mutation was 1.57 （95% CI： 1.02-2.40）. CONCLUSION： The present study confirms the presence of iron overload in alcoholics, which was more severe in the subset of subjects with liver disease,
