Zn(cF_(3)SO_(3))_(2)as an electrolyte has been widely used to improve the electrochemical performance for ZIBs due to that the bulky cF_(3)SO_(3)-can reduce the solvation effect of Zn^(2+)and promote the ionic ***,we found that Zn(cF_(3)SO_(3))_(2)electrolyte can induce different electrochemical mechanisms from ZnSO_(4)*** to the ZnSO^(4)electrolyte,the HNaV_(6)O_(16)·4H2_(O)electrode with Zn(cF_(3)SO_(3))_(2)electrolyte exhibits a high capacity of 444 mAh·g^(-1)at 500 mA·g^(-1)with a capacity retention of 92.3%after 80 ***,at a high rate of 5 Ag-1,the HNaV_(6)O_(16)·4H_(2)O electrode delivers an initial discharge capacity of 328 mAh·g^(-1)with a capacity retention of 93.7%after 1000 *** from the mechanism with ZnSO4 electrolyte,the excellent cycle stability of HNaV_(6)O_(16)·4H_(2)Oelectrode can be attributed to the in-situ phase transformation to ZnxV_(2)O_(5)·nH_(2)O based on the co-intercalation of Zn^(2+)/H^(+).

The co_(3)O_(4) decorated TiO_(2) nanotube arrays(NTAs)coatings are fabricated by the combination of anodization and impregnating *** is found that the introduction of co_(3)O_(4) can reduce the diffraction intensity of(101)plane of the TiO_(2) and accelerate the separation of photogenerated electron/hole *** addition,the open circuit potential(OcP)and the corrosion potential of 304 stainless steel(304SS)with or without co_(3)O_(4) decorated TiO_(2) NTAs were measured under visible light,which indicated the 304SS coupled with co_(3)O_(4) decorated TiO_(2) NTAs had better anticorrosion performance than that of the 304SS or the 304SS coupled with pure TiO_(2) *** enhancement of the cathodic protection performance of the co_(3)O_(4) decorated TiO_(2) NTAs can be ascribed to the matched energy levels and strong interaction between co_(3)O_(4) and TiO_(2) NTAs,and the improvement of light absorption.

SrTiO3 films with different cation concentration were deposited on Si（001） substrates by oxide molecular beam epitaxy. An amorphous layer was observed at the interface whose thickness depends on the oxygen pressure and the substrate temperature during growth. Although lowering the oxygen vacancy concentration in SrTiO3 led to better insulating performance as indi- cated by the lowered leakage current density of the heterostructure, the dielectric performance was deteriorated because of the thickened interracial layer that dominated the capacitance of SrTiO3/Si heterostructure. Instead of adjusting the oxygen vacan- cy concentration, we propose that controlling the film cation concentration is an effective way to tune the dielectric and insu- lating properties of SrTiO3/Si at the same time.

The removal of emerging micropollutants in the aquatic environment remains a global *** routes are often chemically,energetically,and operationally intensive,which decreases their sustainability during ***,we develop an advanced chemical-free strategy for micropollutants decontamination that is solely based on sequential electrochemistry involving ubiquitous sulfate anions in natural and engineered *** can be achieved via a chain reaction initiated by electrocatalytic anodic sulfate(SO_(4)^(2-))oxidation to produce persulfate(S_(2)O_(8)^(2-))and followed by a cathodic persulfate reduction to produce sulfate radicals(SO_(4)^(·-)).These SO_(4)^(·-)are powerful reactive species that enable the unselective degradation of micropollutants and yield SO_(4)^(2-)again in the treated *** proposed flow-through electrochemical system achieves the efficient degradation(100.0%)and total organic carbon removal(65.0%)of aniline under optimized conditions with a single-pass *** also reveal the effectiveness of the proposed system for the degradation of a wide array of emerging micropollutants over a broad pH range and in complex *** work provides the first proof-ofconcept demonstration using ubiquitous sulfate for micropollutants decontamination,making water purification more sustainable and more economical.

Ginkgo biloba L. is a precious relic tree species with important economic value. Seeds, as a vital reproductive organ of plants, can be used to distinguish cultivars of the species. We chose 400 seeds from two cultivars of ginkgo(“Fozhi” and “Maling”;200 seeds for each cultivar) as the study material and used the Gielis equation to fit the projected shape of these seeds. The coefficients of variation(cV) in root mean squared errors(RMSE)obtained from the fitted data were used to compare the level of inter-cultivar variations in seed shape. We also used the covariance analysis to compare the allometric relationships between seed weights and projected areas of these two cultivars. The Gielis equation fitted well the seedshapes of two ginkgo cultivars. The lower cV in RMSE of cultivar “Fozhi” than “Maling” indicated a less symmetrical seed shape in the latter than the former. The bootstrap percentile method showed that the seed shape differences between the two cultivars were significant. However, there was no significant difference in the exponents between the seed weights and the projected areas of these two ***, the significant differences in shapes between the seeds of two ginkgo cultivars were well explained by the Gielis equation;this model can be further extended to compare morphological differences in other ginkgo cultivars, and even for plant seeds or animal eggs that have similar oval shapes.
