The coupling of atomic force microscopy with infrared spectroscopy(AFM-IR)offers the unique capability to characterize the local chemical and physical makeup of a broad variety of materials with nanoscale ***,in order to fully utilize the measurement capability of AFM-IR,a three-dimensional dataset(2D map with a spectroscopic dimension)needs to be acquired,which is prohibitively time-consuming at the same spatial resolution of a regular AFM *** this paper,we provide a new approach to process spectral AFM-IR data based on a multicomponent pan-sharpening *** approach requires only a low spatial resolution spectral and a limited number of high spatial resolution single wavenumber chemical maps to generate a high spatial resolution hyperspectral image,greatly reducing data acquisition *** a result,we are able to generate highresolution maps of component distribution,produce chemical maps at any wavenumber available in the spectral range,and perform correlative analysis of the physical and chemical properties of the *** highlight our approach via imaging of plant cell walls as a model system and showcase the interplay between mechanical stiffness of the sample and its chemical *** believe our pan-sharpening approach can be more generally applied to different material classes to enable deeper understanding of that structure-property relationship at the nanoscale.

In angiosperms,the process of pollination relies on species-specific interaction and signaling between the male(pollen)and female(pistil)counterparts where the interplay between several pollen and stigma proteins decides the fate of the *** Brassicaceae,the dry stigmatic papillary cells control pollen germination by releasing resources only to compatible pollen thereby allowing pollen to hydrate and *** the identification of a number of stigmatic proteins that facilitate pollination responses,the signaling mechanisms that regulate functions of these proteins have remained ***,we show that,in Arabidopsis,an extremely functionally redundant mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)cascade is required for maintaining stigma receptivity to accept compatible *** genetic analyses demonstrate that in stigmas,five MAPK kinases(MKKs),MKK1/2/3/7/9 are required to transmit upstream signals to two MPKs,MPK3/4,to mediate compatible *** functions of these five MKKs in the quintuple mutant(mkk1/2/3RNAi/mkk7/9)phenocopied pollination defects observed in the m pk4RNAi/m pk3 double *** further show that this MAPK nexus converges on Exo70A1,a previously identified stigma receptivity factor essential for *** that pollination is the crucial initial step during plant reproduction,understanding the mechanisms that govern successful pollination could lead to development of strategies to improve crop yield.

Cytochrome P4502J2(CYP2J2)metabolizes arachidonic acid(AA)to cardioprotective epoxyeicosatrienoic acids(EETs).Dronedarone,an antiarrhythmic drug prescribed for treatment of atrial fibrillation(AF)induces cardiac adverse effects(AEs)with poorly understood *** previously demonstrated that dronedarone inactivates CYP2J2 potently and irreversibly,disrupts AA-EET pathway leading to cardiac mitochondrial toxicity rescuable via EET *** this study,we investigated if mitigation of CYP2J2 inhibition prevents dronedarone-induced cardiac *** first synthesized a deuterated analogue of dronedarone(termed poyendarone)and demonstrated that it neither inactivates CYP2J2,disrupts AA-EETs metabolism nor causes cardiac mitochondrial toxicity in *** patch-clamp experiments demonstrated that pharmacoelectrophysiology of dronedarone is unaffected by ***,we show that dronedarone treatment or CYP2J2 knockdown in spontaneously beating cardiomyocytes indicative of depleted CYP2J2 activity exacerbates beat-to-beat(BTB)variability reflective of proarrhythmic *** contrast,poyendarone treatment yields significantly lower BTB variability compared to dronedarone in cardiomyocytes indicative of preserved CYP2J2 ***,poyendarone and dronedarone display similar antiarrhythmic properties in the canine model of persistent AF,while poyendarone substantially reduces beat-to-beat variability of repolarization duration suggestive of diminished proarrhythmic *** findings prove that deuteration of dronedarone prevents CYP2J2 inactivation and mitigates dronedarone-induced cardiac AEs.

The potential is considered for use of microalloyed bar steels,in conjunction with thermomechanical processing,to enhance the properties of steels heat treated at higher process temperatures than have been used *** examples are highlighted:microalloyed spring steels with enhanced resistance to tempering and Nb-modified gear steels for high temperature vacuum carburizing,*** the order of 1050℃ versus 930℃ for a typical gas carburizing *** the spring steel example,the Nb+v steel results in significantly finer prior austenite grain sizes than the other steels considered,enhanced fatigue performance,and improved *** the Nb-modified carburizing steel,Nb additions up to 0.1 wt pct to a Ti-modified 8620 steel,in conjunction with thermomechanical processing to control initial precipitate distributions prior to carburizing,are shown to lead to materials with improved resistance to abnormal austenitic grain growth at the higher process *** content and heating rate to the carburizing temperature were shown to be important variables and suppression of abnormal grain growth was correlated with the development of a critical distribution of fine NbC precipitates,stable at the austenitizing temperature leading to improved fatigue performance in steels with fine and uniform grain *** for extending the results of this study to alloy design and controlled rolling in bar mills are assessed.

This paper presents a resource allocation scheme for wireless networks, aiming at optimizing the users’ data delay. It is proposed to provide optimal delay al-location by solving an optimization problem using idle state prediction and considering 5G characteristics such as mmWave propagation. The perfor-mance of the resource allocation algorithm is verified and compared with oth-ers from the literature using computational simulations in terms of Quality of Service (QoS) parameters such as throughput, delay, fairness index, loss rate and computational complexity. In these simulations, it is also considered the mmWave propagation and carrier aggregation technology for wireless next generation systems, in order to verify the system performance in a high data rate scenario.

Gas-phase mechanism and kinetics of the reactions of the 2-propargyl radical(H2CCCH), an important intermediate in combustion processes, with formaldehyde were investigated using ab initio molecular orbital theory at the coupled-cluster CCSD(T)//B3LYP/6-311++G(3df,2p) method in conjunction with transition state theory(TST), variational transition state theory(vTST) and Rice-Ramsperger-Kassel-marcus(RRKM) calculations for rate constants. The potential energy surface(PES) constructed shows that the H2CCCH+HCHO reaction has six main entrances, including two H-abstraction and four additional channels, in which the former is energetically more favorable. The H-abstraction channels slide down to two quite weak pre-complexes COM-01(-9.3 kJ/mol) and COM-02(-kJ/mol) before going via energy barriers of 71.3(T0/P1) and 63.9 kJ/mol(T0/P2), respectively. Two post-complexes, COM-1(-17.8 kJ/mol) and COM-2(-23.4 kJ/mol) created just after coming out from T0/P1 and T0/P2, respectively, can easily be decomposed via barrier-less processes yielding H2CCCH2+CHO(P1,-12.4 kJ/mol) and HCCCH3+CHO(P2,-16.5 kJ/mol), respectively. The additional channels occur initially by formation of four intermediate states, H2CCCHCH2O(I1, 1.1 kJ/mol), HCCCH2CH2O(I3, 4.5 kJ/mol), H2CCCHOCH2(I4, 10.2 kJ/mol), and HCCCH2OCH2(I6, 19.1 kJ/mol) via energy barriers of 66.3, 59.2, 112.2, and 98.6 kJ/mol at T0/1, T0/3, TOM, and TO/6, respectively. Of which two channels producing 14 and 16 can be ignored due to coming over tlie high barriers TOM and TO/6, respectively. The rate constants and product branching ratios for the low-energy channels calculated show that the H2CCCH+HCHO reaction is almost pressure-independent. Altliough the H2CCCH+HCHO→Ⅰ1 and H2CCCH+HCHO→Ⅰ3 channels become dominant at low temperature, however, they are less competitive channels at high temperature.
