Photoluminescent Tb^(3+)-based metal-organic framework as a sensor for detection of methanol in ethanol fuel

The sensing capability of a Tb^(3+)-metal-organic framework, based on its photoluminescence, was used for detection of methanol in ethanol fuel. It was synthesized using terbium and trimesic acid as a metal ion center and ligand, respectively. Powder X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy were employed to characterize the synthesized MOf-76 structural features. According to the results, MOf-76 was successfully obtained with minor synthetic modification and its activated form(named TbTMA) was tested as a sensor for methanol. Tb^(3+) luminescence intensity increases as the methanol concentration in ethanol fuel also increases and the water content does not affect this response. Our findings indicate TbTMA as an appropriate sensor for evaluating ethanol fuel adulteration by methanol addition above the allowed limit.

Envita’s Precision Cancer Care: 35-fold Improvement in Response Rates

New clinical approaches are imperative beyond the widely adopted National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines, utilized by prominent cancer institutions. Cancer is the leading cause of death among individuals younger than 85 years within the United States. despite significant technological advances, including the expenditure of hundreds of billions, treatment outcomes and overall survival have not notably improved for most types of advanced cancer over the last several decades. Over the past 24 years, Envita Medical Centers has pioneered a unique form of personalized treatment approach for late-stage and refractory cancer patients, introducing groundbreaking innovations in the field. Our integrated algorithm utilizes advanced genomics, transcriptomics, and highly tailored immunotherapy, resulting in remarkable outcome improvements. This study presents Envita’s innovative personalized treatment algorithms and examines the response outcomes of 199 late-stage cancer patients treated at Envita Medical Centers over a two-year period. Compared to standard of care and palliative chemotherapy, Envita’s treatment demonstrated a remarkable 35-fold improvement in overall response rates (figure 1). Moreover, 88% of the patients, the majority presenting with Stage 3 or 4 cancer, experienced a 43-fold improvement in quality of life with minimal side effects, as compared to standard of care chemotherapy and palliative care. This revolutionary success is attributed to Envita’s personalized therapeutic algorithms, which incorporate customized immunotherapy. Envita’s precision care approach has also achieved a 100% better response rate compared to over 65 global chemotherapy clinical trials with more than 2700 patients. The results from this study suggest that a wider utilization of Envita’s personalized approach can significantly benefit patients with late-stage and refractory cancer.

Biliary complications associated with weight loss,cholelithiasis and choledocholithiasis

Biliary complications like cholelithiasis and choledocholithiasis are more common in bariatric surgery patients due to obesity and rapid weight *** with a body mass index>40 face an eightfold risk of developing *** surgery,especially after laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass(lRYGB),30%of patients develop biliary disease due to rapid weight *** aim of this review is to analyze the main biliary complications that occur after bariatric surgery and its management.A review of the literature was conducted mainly from 2010 up to 2023 with regard to biliary complications associated with bariatric patients in SciElO,PubMed,and *** undergoing lRYGB have a higher incidence(14.5%)of symptomatic calculi post-surgery compared to those undergoing laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy at 4.1%.Key biliary complications within 6 to 12 months post-surgery include:Cholelithiasis:36%;Biliary colic/dyskinesia:3.86%;Acute cholecystitis:0.98%-18.1%;Chronic cholecystitis:70.2%;Choledocholithiasis:0.2%-5.7%and Pancreatitis:0.46%-9.4%.Surgeons need to be aware of these complications and consider surgical treatments based on patient symptoms to enhance their quality of life.

在《史记·晋世家》的编撰中,司马迁自由支配和运用着《春秋》三传。司马迁主要依靠《左传》,但在试图重述某些事件时,常常会综合参考《春秋》三传,其中一些文本重述融合了两种或两种以上的《春秋》经传。这种文本重述通常涉及缩写原文,但有时似乎不够细致,以致于《史记》相关记载的语意表达会模糊不清。由此推测,在《史记》的编撰过程中,有助理或抄写员参与其中。另外,司马迁的时代并没有现代意义上的所谓“文本”,而只有口述传统和各种不便携带的书写载录(在丝绸或竹简上),司马迁所理解的“春秋”就是他所研习、记诵并阅读的与经典文本《春秋》相关的所有书面和口述文献。

deformation‑Induced Strengthening Mechanism in a Newly designed l‑40 Tool Steel Manufactured by laser Powder Bed fusion

The microstructural and mechanical properties of a newly designed tool steel(l-40),specifcally designed to be employed in the laser powder bed fusion(lPBf)technique,were *** pool boundaries with submicron dendritic structures and about 14%retained austenite phase were evident after *** grain orientation after high cooling rate solidifcation is mostlyα∥building direction(Bd).Then,the heat treatment converted the microstructure into a conventional martensitic phase,reduced the retained austenite to about 1.5%,and increasedα∥Bd *** heat-treated sample exhibits higher tensile strength(1720±14 MPa)compared to the as-printed sample(1540±26 MPa)along the building direction,mainly due to hardening caused by a lower volume fraction of retained austenite phase and precipitation of *** a consequence of the strength-to-ductility trade-of,the heat-treated sample showed lower elongation(10%±2%)than that of the as-printed sample(18%±2%).It was observed that transformation-induced plasticity(TRIP)occurs in both the as-printed and heat-treated samples during tensile testing,which dynamically transforms the retained austenite into martensite,leading to improved *** minimum driving force to initiate the displacive phase transformation is about 6000 J/mol,which was achieved during tensile *** strength and ductility of lPBf-produced l-40 were compared with the other lPBf-produced tool steels in literature;the data indicate that heat-treated l-40 has an excellent combination of strength and ductility complemented with high printability.

Treatment trends of muscle invasive bladder cancer: Evidence from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database, 1988 to 2013

Huanglongbing(HlB)is the most devastating disease for citrus *** liberibacter asiaticus(C las),vectored by Asian citrus psyllid(ACP,diaphorina citri Kuwayama),is the most common pathogen causing the *** citrus varieties are highly susceptible to HlB,whereas trifoliate orange(Poncirus trifoliata)is considered highly tolerant to *** f1 segregating population and their parent trifoliate orange and sweet orange,which had been exposed to intense HlB pressure for three years,was evaluated for disease symptoms,ACP colonization,C las titer and tree vigor repeatedly for two to three *** orange and sweet orange showed significant differences for most of the phenotypic traits,and the f1 population exhibited a large variation.A high-density SNP-based genetic map with 1402 markers was constructed for trifoliate orange,which exhibited high synteny and high coverage of its reference genome.A total of 26 quantitative trait locus(QTls)were identified in four linkage groups lG-t6,lG-t7,lG-t8 and lG-t9,of which four QTl clusters exhibit a clear co-localization of QTls associated with different *** genome-wide analysis of gene expression in response to C las infection in‘flying dragon’and‘larger-flower dPI-50-7’trifoliate orange,85 differentially expressed genes were found located within the QTl *** them,seven genes were classified as defense or immunity protein which exhibited the highest transcriptional change after C las *** results indicate a quantitative genetic nature of HlB tolerance and identified candidate genes that should be valuable for searching for genetic solutions to HlB through breeding or genetic engineering.

In this paper we consider the problem of“end-to-end”digital camera identification by considering sequence of images obtained from the *** problem of digital camera identification is harder than the problem of identifying its analog counterpart since the process of analog to digital conversion smooths out the intrinsic noise in the analog *** it is known that identifying a digital camera is possible by analyzing the camera’s intrinsic sensor artifacts that are introduced into the images/videos during the process of photo/video *** is known that such methods are computationally intensive requiring expensive pre-processing *** this paper we propose an end-to-end deep feature learning framework for identifying cameras using images obtained from *** conduct experiments using three custom datasets:the first containing two cameras in an indoor environment where each camera may observe different scenes having no overlapping features,the second containing images from four cameras in an outdoor setting but where each camera observes scenes having overlapping features and the third containing images from two cameras observing the same checkerboard pattern in an indoor *** results show that it is possible to capture the intrinsic hardware signature of the cameras using deep feature representations in an end-to-end *** deep feature maps can in turn be used to disambiguate the cameras from each *** system is end-to-end,requires no complicated pre-processing steps and the trained model is computationally efficient during testing,paving a way to have near instantaneous decisions for the problem of digital camera identification in production *** we present comparisons against the current state-of-the-art in digital camera identification which clearly establishes the superiority of the end-to-end solution.
