The non-marine strata of the Ypresian Naredi Formation have been deposited and intermittently pedogenized after the culmination of the Early Eocene Climatic Optimum(EECO). This continental interval comprises intercalation of laterite and palaeosol horizons developed by cyclic episodes of erosion, subaerial exposure, and deposition. The palaeopedological analyses investigate the morphological and micromorphological features evidencing repeated subaerial exposure and consequently moderate to well-developed palaeosol horizons. The topmost laterite bed records an intensely bioturbated ichnofabric(consisting of the root traces and the composite ichnotaxa of lungfish aestivation burrows, Macanopsis(possible arachnid burrows), and Skolithos. The pedogenized shale horizons contain the paucispecific Camborygma-root trace ichnofabric with highly localized patchy preservation of Camborygma symplokonomos, Camborygma eumekenomos, and rhizoturbation. The ichnospecies variation of Camborygma along with the ichnofabric analyses led to the demarcation of stratigraphic horizons and evaluation of the palaeowater-table fluctuations vis-a-vis the low-order allocyclicity, the ethology of producers, and the depositional setting. The paucispecific suite of trace fossils refers to the Camborygma Ichnofacies, where the substrate is intermittently pedogenized and lateritized with upward increasing thickness of beds and intensity of pedogenesis, lateritization, ichnodiversity, and ***, as an expression of high-frequency(interpreted as 5th-order) stratigraphic fluctuations within an early Falling Stage Systems Tract(FSST), a hot palaeoclimate with seasonality varying between humid inundated to dry desiccated conditions is interpreted with the palaeowater table being the base-level control. A new protocol that enables asymmetric hydroaminomethylation of styrenes to afford chiral amines has been developed. Catalysed by an Rh-phosphine species and a chiral phosphoric acid, styrenes are converted into β-chiral amines with good enantioselectivities under syngas in the presence of an amine and Hantzsch ester. The reaction involves two key steps, hydroformylation and reductive amination, with the former catalysed by the Rh species whilst the latter by the phosphoric acid.

Hydrocyclones have versatile applications in various industrial *** functionn on the principle of centrifugal separation to remove a dispersed phase(particles or drops)from a continuous phase(fluid).In unconventional filtering hydrocyclones,the separation efficiency and energy costs have been improved by combining filtration with centrifugal *** work investigated experimentally the effect of incorporating a cylinder and a porous cone in a conventional *** also evaluated the effects of the main geometric dimensions of the separator on the hydrocyclone performance.A differential-evolution algorithm was applied to optimize the hydrocyclone performance,which was represented as the maximum total efficiency and minimum Euler *** experimental results validated the optimization results and showed that hydrocyclones with optimized geometries exhibited higher total efficiencies(89.59%)and lower Euler numbers(582)than hydrocyclones with other experimental configurations.

Nine novel microsatellite markers are presented for Aphelinus mali, a parasitoid of the woolly apple aphid Eriosoma lanigerum. Loci were characterized for 28 individuals from a single orchard in central Chile. Seven loci were polymorphic within A. mali （3-6 alleles per locus; observed heterozygosity ranging from 0.04 to 0.57） and are therefore useful for population genetic studies within this species.

The intestinal microbiota has gained increased attention from researchers within the swine industry due to its role in promoting intestinal maturation,immune system modulation,and consequently the enhancement of the health and growth performance of the *** review aimed to provide updated scientific information on the interaction among intestinal microbiota,dietary components,and intestinal health of *** small intestine is a key site to evaluate the interaction of the microbiota,diet,and host because it is the main site for digestion and absorption of nutrients and plays an important role within the immune *** diet and its associated components such as feed additives are the main factors affecting the microbial composition and is central in stimulating a beneficial population of *** microbiotaehost interaction modulates the immune system,and,concurrently,the immune system helps to modulate the microbiota *** direct interaction between the microbiota and the host is an indication that the mucosa-associated microbiota can be more effective in evaluating its effect on health *** was demonstrated that the mucosa-associated microbiota should be evaluated when analyzing the interaction among diets,microbiota,and *** addition,supplementation of feed additives aimed to promote the intestinal health of pigs should consider their roles in the modulation of mucosa-associated microbiota as biomarkers to predict the response of growth performance to dietary interventions.

Invasion and metastasis are the most deadly hallmarks of cancer. Once a cancer has acquired the ability to colonize new sites in the body it becomes dramatically more difficult to treat. This has made it a focus of much of cancer research. The humble fruit fly, Drosophila mela- nogaster, has despite its relative simplicity, made significant contributions to the understanding of tumor progression. In this review we outline and highlight those with an emphasis on modeling the genetic and epigenetic changes required for invasion and metastasis. We will revisit the early years of cancer modeling in Drosophila where the first parallels were drawn between Drosophila and vertebrate neoplasms and highlight recent advances using genetic screens and interactions with the epithelial microenvironment and innate immune system. We focus on the power and limitations of current fly models of metastasis.

Endophytic species of Colletotrichum associated with Mangifera indica(mango)are poorly *** this study,Colletotrichum species were isolated from mango in Pernambuco State,*** were significant differences in isolation frequencies of Colletotrichum species among sites and plant *** leaf blades were colonized by most Colletotrichum isolates at the majority of *** sequences of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase(GAPDH)of 97 Colletotrichum isolates were amplified as an initial measure of genetic *** analysis with a subset of 22 isolates were performed based on a multilocus dataset(ACT,TUB2,CAL,CHS-1,GAPDH,ITS)followed by Apn2/MAT IGS sequence-analysis for isolates within the *** species *** analysis associated with phenotypic characteristics revealed six previously described species[***,***,***(***),***,*** and ***]and one new *** new species is introduced as *** species isolated were pathogenic on mango fruits but varied in their *** was no distribution pattern of species among sites and plant tissues,although *** was the most prevalent species at all sites and in all plant tissues *** previously reported Colletotrichum species causing anthracnose in mango fruits in northeastern Brazil were also recovered as endophytes.
