Extensive right coronary artery thrombosis in a patient with cOVID-19:A case report

BAcKGROUND Occurring in approximately 30%of hospitalized patients,cardiovascular complications that take place during the course of coronavirus disease 2019(cOVID-19)have been shown to cause morbidity and *** case is the first report of extensive right coronary artery(RcA)thrombosis that was evaluated by intracoronary imaging and intracoronary invasive physiology in a patient with *** SUMMARY A 62-year-old woman presented with flu-like symptoms;ten days later,she presented with inferior ST-segment elevations,chest pain,dyspnea,nausea and *** patient was diagnosed with cOVID-19 following a positive test *** angiography of the RcA and its branches indicated intraluminal filling defects,suggesting a *** ultrasound confirmed a subacute thrombus in the RcA,the right posterior descending branch and the right posterior ventricular(RPV)*** was also an acute thrombus in the RPV branch and atherosclerosis in the *** antiplatelet/anticoagulation therapy was *** 7 d,angiography revealed complete disappearance of the *** coherence tomography confirmed this with the exception of a small thrombus in the RPV branch and atherosclerotic plaque in the *** atherosclerotic RcA was measured using the resting fullcycle ratio,indicating no impairment to coronary *** patient was discharged on the 11^(th) day of hospitalization and remained asymptomatic through the 6-mo *** This was the first report of RcA thrombosis in a patient with *** antiplatelet/anticoagulation therapy was successful.

The Puesto Piris Formation: Evidence of basin-development in the North Patagonian Massif during crustal extension associated with Gondwana breakup

The Marifil Volcanic complex, exposed in the eastern North Patagonian Massif, Argentina, includes up to 550 m of red conglomerates, sandstones, black siltstones, limestones, and reworked tuff of the Puesto Piris Formation. The basal part of this unit, which was deposited in high-gradient topographic relief, is composed of conglomerates and sandstones with thin layers of reworked tuffs. The lithofacies associations of the basal part indicate that the depositional mechanisms were mantled and gravitational *** middle part of the unit consists of fine sandstones, limestones, and black siltstones that were deposited in low-energy fluvial and lacustrine environments. The outcrops are located along the NEe SW direction and the major thickest units represented by limestones and siltstones, occur near the southeastern border of this NEeS W depocenter. Since the rhyolitic and trachytic lava flows and tuffs of the Marifil Volcanic complex are interbedded with the sedimentary sequences of the Puesto Piris Formation,both units are coeval. Zircon Ue Pb age was obtained for a trachytic lava flow(193.4 ±3.1 Ma) suggesting that sedimentation and volcanism are Sinemurian. This extensional episode was recorded in the eastern,western, and southwestern sectors of the North Patagonian Massif, and is possibly associated with the Gondwana supercontinent breakup.

Members of the Botryosphaeriaceae are well known fungi associated with dieback,canker and fruit rot on various hosts worldwide,including *** aim of this study was identify a large collection of Botryosphaeriaceae species associated with dieback and stem-end rot of mango in the semi-arid region of Northeastern Brazil,and compare the species in relation to mycelial growth,pathogenicity and virulence.A total of 115 isolates were sampled and based on morphology and DNA sequence data(ITS and EF1-α)seven taxa were identified,namely,Botryosphaeria dothidea,***,Fusicoccum fabicercianum,Neofusicoccum parvum,*** ***,Neoscytalidium dimidiatum and Pseudofusicoccum *** and *** were the most commonly isolated species,which represented 37%and 33%of all isolates *** is reported for the first time in association with mango diseases *** were significant differences among the species obtained in this study in relation to optimum temperature for mycelial growth and mycelial growth *** species were pathogenic on mango *** were significant differences in virulence among the species,with *** and *** being the most virulent species,while *** was the least virulent.

Hydrocyclones have versatile applications in various industrial *** functionn on the principle of centrifugal separation to remove a dispersed phase(particles or drops)from a continuous phase(fluid).In unconventional filtering hydrocyclones,the separation efficiency and energy costs have been improved by combining filtration with centrifugal *** work investigated experimentally the effect of incorporating a cylinder and a porous cone in a conventional *** also evaluated the effects of the main geometric dimensions of the separator on the hydrocyclone performance.A differential-evolution algorithm was applied to optimize the hydrocyclone performance,which was represented as the maximum total efficiency and minimum Euler *** experimental results validated the optimization results and showed that hydrocyclones with optimized geometries exhibited higher total efficiencies(89.59%)and lower Euler numbers(582)than hydrocyclones with other experimental configurations.

Nine novel microsatellite markers are presented for Aphelinus mali, a parasitoid of the woolly apple aphid Eriosoma lanigerum. Loci were characterized for 28 individuals from a single orchard in central chile. Seven loci were polymorphic within A. mali （3-6 alleles per locus; observed heterozygosity ranging from 0.04 to 0.57） and are therefore useful for population genetic studies within this species.

Having a better understanding of air pollutants in railway systems is crucial to ensure a clean public *** study measured,for the first time in Brazil,nanoparticles(NPs)and black carbon(Bc)on two groundlevel platforms and inside trains of the Metropolitan Area of Porto Alegre(MAPA).An intense sampling campaign during thirteen consecutive months was carried out and the chemical composition of NPs was examined by advanced microscopy *** results showed that highest concentrations of the pollutants occur in colder seasons and influenced by variables such as frequency of the trains and passenger ***,internal and external sources of pollution at the stations were *** predominance of NPs enriched with metals that increase oxidative stress like cd,Fe,Pb,cr,Zn,Ni,V,Hg,Sn,and Ba both on the platforms and inside trains,including Fe-minerals as hematite and magnetite,represents a critical risk to the health of passengers and employees of the *** interdisciplinary and multi-analytical study aims to provide an improved understanding of reported adverse health effects induced by railway system aerosols.

Imprinting in plants

Genomic imprinting leads to the differential expression of parental alleles after fertilization. Imprinting appears to have evolved independently in mammals and flowering plants to regulate the development of nutrient-transfer placental tissues. In addition, the regulation of imprinting in both mammals and flowering plants involves changes in DNA methylation and histone methylation, thus suggesting that the epigenetic signals that regulate imprinting have been co-opted in these distantly related species.

current cell-wall models assume no covalent bonding between cellulose and hemicelluloses such as xyloglu-can or mixed-linkageβ-D-glucan(MLG).However,Equisetum hetero-trans-β-glucanase(HTG)grafts cellu-lose onto xyloglucan oligosaccharides(XGOs)-and,we now show,xyloglucan polysaccharide-in vitro,thus exhibiting cXE(cellulose:xyloglucan endotransglucosylase)*** addition,HTG also catalyzes MLG-to-XGO bonding(MXE activity).In this study,we explored the cXE action of HTG in native plant cell walls and tested whether expansin exposes cellulose to HTG by disrupting hydrogen *** quantify and visu-alize cXE and MXE action,we assayed the sequential release of HTG products from cell walls pre-labeled with substrate *** demonstrated covalent cellulose--xyloglucan bonding in plant cell walls and showed that cXE and MXE action was up to 15%and 60%of total transglucanase action,respectively,and peaked in aging,strengthening tissues:cXE in xylem and cells bordering intercellular canals and MXE in *** bacterial expansin(EXLX1)strongly augmented cXE activity in *** and MXE ac-tion in living Equisetum structural tissues potentially strengthens stems,while expansin might augment the HTG-catalyzed cXE reaction,thereby allowing efficient cXE action in *** methods will enable surveys for comparable reactions throughout the plant ***,engineering similar hetero-polymer formation into angiosperm crop plants may improve certain agronomic traits such as lodging tolerance.
