Gastric neuroendocrine neoplasms(gNENs)are a rare type of gastric neoplasm,even if their frequency is increasing according to the latest epidemiologic revisions of the main registries *** are divided into three main subtypes,with different pathogeneses,biological behaviors,and clinical *** heterogeneity poses challenges,therefore these neoplasms require different management *** the knowledge on the endoscopic treatment options to manage *** manuscript is a narrative review of the *** recent years,many advances have been made not only in the knowledge of both the pathogenesis and the molecular profiling of gNENs but also in the endoscopic expertise towards innovative treatment options,which proved to be less aggressive without losing the capa-bility of being *** endoscopic approach is increasingly applied in the field of gastrointestinal(GI)luminal neoplasms,and this is true not only for adenocarcinomas but also for *** particular,different techniques have been described for the endoscopic removal of suspected lesions,ranging from classical polypectomy(cold or hot snare)to endoscopic mucosal resection(both with“en bloc”or piecemeal technique),endoscopic submucosal dissection,and endoscopic full-thickness *** comprise different subtypes of neoplasms with distinct management and *** endoscopic techniques offer a wide variety of approaches for GI localized neoplasms,which demonstrated to be appropriate and effective also in the case of *** evaluation of size,site,morphology,and clinical context allows the choice of tailored therapy in order to guarantee a definitive treatment.

Sensor networks are envisioned to revolutionize our daily life by ubiquitously monitoring our environment and/or adjusting it to suit our needs. Recent progress in robotics and low-power embedded systems has made it possible to add mobility to small, light, low-cost sensors to be used in teams or swarms. Augmenting static sensor networks with mobile nodes addresses many design challenges that exist in traditional static sensor networks. This paper addresses the problem of topology control in mobile wireless networks. Limitations in communication, computation and energy capabilities push towards the adoption of distributed, energy-efficient solutions to perform self-deployment and relocation of the nodes. We develop a unified, distributed algorithm that has the following features. During deployment, our algorithm yields a regular tessellation of the geographical area with a given node density, called monitoring configuration. Upon the occurrence of a physical phenomenon, network nodes relocate themselves so as to properly sample and control the event, while maintaining the network connectivity. Then, as soon as the event ends, all nodes return to the monitoring configuration. To achieve these goals, we use a virtual force-based strategy which proves to be very effective even when compared to an optimal centralized solution. We assess the performance of our approach in the presence of events with different shapes, and we investigate the transient behavior of our algorithm. This allows us to evaluate the effectiveness and the response time of the proposed solution under various environmental conditions.

The Nain and Ashin ophiolites consist of Mesozoic melange units that were emplaced in the Late Cretaceous onto the continental basement of the Central-East Iran microcontinent(CEIM).They largely consist of serpentinized peridotites slices;nonetheless,minor tectonic slices of sheeted dykes and pillow lavas-locally stratigraphically associated with radiolarian cherts-can be found in these ophiolitic *** on their whole rock geochemistry and mineral chemistry,these rocks can be divided into two geochemical *** sheeted dykes and most of the pillow lavas show island arc tholeiitic(IAT)affinity,whereas a few pillow lavas from the Nain ophiolites show calc-alkaline(CA)*** modeling based on trace elements composition indicates that both IAT and CA rocks derived from partial melting of depleted mantle sources that underwent enrichment in subduction-derived components prior to *** modeling shows that these components were represented by pure aqueous fluids,or sediment melts,or a combination of both,suggesting that the studied rocks were formed in an arc-forearc tectonic *** new biostratigraphic data indicate this arc-forearc setting was active in the Early *** tectonic interpretations suggested that the Nain ophiolites formed,in a Late Cretaceous backarc basin located in the south of the CEIM(the so-called Nain-Baft basin).However,recent studies showed that the CEIM underwent a counter-clockwise rotation in the Cenozoic,which displaced the Nain and Ashin ophiolites in their present day position from an original northeastward *** evidence combined with our new data and a comparison of the chemical features of volcanic rocks from different ophiolites around the CEIM allow us to suggest that the Nain-Ashin volcanic rocks and dykes were formed in a volcanic arc that developed on the northern margin of the CEIM during the Early Cretaceous in association with the subduction,below the CEIM,of a Neo

This is a prospective interventional clinical study evaluating intraocular inflammation developed after Ultrasound Cyclo Plasty(UCP) for the treatment of glaucoma. Eighteen eyes of 18 patients were treated with UCP second-generation probes(Eye OP1). After treatment, the mean intraocular pressure(IOP) significantly decreased from 26.8±7.2 to 18.8±6.1 mm Hg at day 1 and to 14.7±3.4 mm Hg at month 6(all P0.05). A significant negative correlation was found between postoperative increase of aqueous flare values and anterior chamber depth(R=-0.568, P=0.014). This timeframe may be considered reasonable for repeating UCP treatment, when required.

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) is an invasive procedure with a complication rate ranging from 4% to 10% [1]. While post-procedure pancreatitis is the most common risk, bleeding also deserves attention. The most common symptoms of post-procedure bleeding were abdominal pain(91.7%), anemia(43.8%), hypotension(29.2%) and fever(20.8%) [2,3].

The Durkan Complex is a key tectonic element of the Makran accretionary prism(SE Iran)and it has been interpreted as representing a continental margin *** present here a multidisciplinary study of the western Durkan Complex,which is based on new geological,stratigraphic,biostratigraphic data,as well as geochemical data of the volcanic and meta-volcanic rocks forming this *** data show that this complex consists of distinct tectonic slices showing both non-metamorphic and very low-grade metamorphic deformed *** and biostratigraphic data allow us to recognize three types of ***-Ⅰis composed by a Coniacian-early Campanian pelagic succession with intercalation of pillow lavas and minor volcaniclastic ***-Ⅱsuccession includes a volcanic sequence passing to a volcano-sedimentary sequence with Cenomanian pelagic limestones,followed by a hemipelagic *** succession is characterized by abundant mass-transport ***-Ⅲsuccession includes volcanic and volcano-sedimentary sequences,which are stratigraphically covered by a Cenomanian platform *** latter is locally followed by a hemipelagic *** volcanic rocks in the different successions show alkaline geochemical affinity,suggesting an origin from an oceanic within-plate *** new results indicate that the western Durkan Complex represents fragments of seamounts tectonically incorporated in the Makran accretionary wedge during the latest Late *** propose that incorporation of seamounts in the frontal prism caused a shortening of the whole convergent margin and possibly contributed to controlling the deformation style in the Makran Accretionary Wedge during Late Cretaceous-Paleocene times.

用金相和不同的无损磁试验对商业低合金双相不锈钢及超级双相不锈钢因热处理和冷加工产生的显微结构过程进行了研究。在双相不锈钢(DSS)和超级双相不锈钢(SDSS)中,亚稳态的铁素体由于热处理可以分解为σ相和二次奥氏体相。这些显微结构的改变显著影响着钢材的机械性能、耐腐蚀性能和磁特性。磁性测量使得破坏性实验中获取的谐频和机械性能存在定量关系。在低合金双相不锈钢中,当低含量的Ni被N和Mn取代后,可能导致奥氏体相的不稳定性,奥氏体相容易转变为亚稳态的马氏体相,而SDSS奥氏体会更加稳定。通过室温冷轧(10%～85%压下率)的方法进行固溶退火材料的塑性变形研究,2101材料仅考察了轧制条件,而冷轧2507样本还进行了热处理。冷轧样品用光学显微镜(OM)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、X-射线衍射(XRD)和磁试验进行了研究。还对双相不锈钢样品进行了三种不同的磁试验,以确定其磁性能。结果表明冷轧对晶粒的大小和形状有一定影响,磁测试结果还显示2101样品中存在马氏体。

Background:Severe functional impairment is often considered a contraindication to intravesical therapy for nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC).A tailored intravesical bacillus Calmette-Guérin(BCG)procedure was evaluated in high-risk(HR)-NMIBC patients with severe functional *** and methods:Patients with a Katz Index score of 2 or less and an initial diagnosis of HR-NMIBC with atraumatic insertion of a Foley-type indwelling catheter,bladder emptying,and BCG instillation were prospectively treated;after 2 hours,the bladder was emptied and the catheter was removed(group A).After propensity score matching,52 patients in group A were compared with that of 52 consecutive patients in group B using a retrospective database,with similar baseline/oncological characteristics and treated with standard intermittent ***,groups A and B were compared with that of 130 consecutive patients(group C)retrospectively evaluated,with similar oncological characteristics but with a Katz Index score of 3 or greater and treated with standard intermittent ***:The discontinuation rates were 11.5%,35%,and 9%in groups A,B,and C,respectively(A vs.B,log-rank score 42.52[po0.05]).The overall adverse event rates were 38.5%,57.7%,and 39.2%,respectively(A vs.B,p=0.04;B vs.C,0.03;A vs.C,0.92).The rates of severe adverse events were 1.9%,1.9%,and 1.5%,respectively,without statistically significant *** cumulative HR disease-free survival rates were 63.4%,48%,and 69.2%,respectively(A vs.B,log-rank score 154.9[p<0.05];B vs.C,415[p<0.05];A vs.C,244[p<0.05]).Conclusions:A tailored intravesical instillation procedure may reduce BCG discontinuation and adverse effects.

Patients affected by pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)frequently present with advanced disease at the time of diagnosis,limiting an upfront surgical *** treatment(NAT)has become the standard of care to downstage non-metastatic locally advanced ***,this treatment increases the risk of a nutritional status decline,which in turn,may impact therapeutic tolerance,postoperative outcomes,or even prevent the possibility of *** on prehabilitation programs on surgical PDAC patients show a reduction of postoperative complications,length of hospital stay,and readmission rate,while data on prehabilitation in NAT patients are scarce and randomized controlled trials are still ***,appropriate nutritional management represents an important therapeutic strategy to promote tissue healing and to enhance patient recovery after surgical *** this regard,NAT may represent a new interesting window of opportunity to implement a nutritional prehabilitation program,aiming to increase the PDAC patient’s capacity to complete the planned therapy and potentially improve clinical and survival *** these perspectives,this review attempts to provide an in-depth view of the nutritional derangements during NAT and nutritional prehabilitation program as well as their impact on PDAC patient outcomes.
