Sulfide oxidation under aerobic conditions can produce active oxygen for the transformation of organic pollutants in aquatic ***,the catalytic performance of transition metal-supported carbon material on this process is poor *** study found that Co-loaded carbon nanotubes(CNTs)was able to realize the efficient aerobic transformation of antibiotic ciprofloxacin(CIP)by sulfide,with the pseudo-first order reaction rate constant improved from 0.013 h^(-1)without catalyst to 0.44–0.71 h^(-1)with 100 mg/L Co-loaded *** oxygen(^(1)O_(2))was the main active specie playing key roles in the process of CIP aerobic transformation with presence of Co-loaded *** studies indicated that the excellent electron transfer ability of Co-loaded CNTs might play an important role to promote the electron transfer and facilitate the formation of intermediate H_(2)O_(2)and^(1)O_(2).Additionally,the Co-loaded CNTs/sulfide system effectively reduced the acute toxicity of organic pollutant,and Co-loaded CNTs showed remarkable cycling stability and negligible *** study gives a better understanding for the Co-loaded CNTs mediated aerobic antibiotics transformation by sulfide,and provide a reference for the application of Co-loaded carbon materials on organics aerobic transformation by sulfide.

Enhanced properties of stone coal-based composite phase change materials for thermal energy storage

Phase change materials (PCms) can be incorporated with low-cost minerals to synthesize composites for thermal energy storage in building *** coal (SC) after vanadium extraction treatment shows potential for secondary utilization in composite *** prepared SC-based composite PCms with SC as a matrix,stearic acid (SA) as a PCm,and expanded graphite (EG) as an *** combined roasting and acid leaching treatment of raw SC was conducted to understand the effect of vanadium extraction on promoting loading *** showed that the combined treatment of roasting at 900℃ and leaching increased the SC loading of the composite by 6.2%by improving the specific surface *** loading capacity and thermal conductivity of the composite obviously increased by 127%and 48.19%,respectively,due to the contribution of 3wt% *** data were supported by the high load of 66.69%and thermal conductivity of 0.59 W·m^(-1)·K-1of the designed *** obtained composite exhibited a phase change temperature of 52.17℃,melting latent heat of 121.5 J·g^(-1),and good chemical *** SC-based composite has prospects in building applications exploiting the secondary utilization of minerals.

Regulating melting Process in the Energy Storage of Solid-Liquid PCm based on Double mRT-LBm Simulation

The melting process of solid-liquid phase change materials(PCm)has a significant impact on their energy storage *** more effectively apply solid-liquid PCm for energy storage,it is crucial to study the regulation of melting process of solid-liquid PCm,which is numerically investigated based on double multiple relaxation time lattice Boltzmann method(mRT-LBm)in this *** this work we pay more attention to the effects of different Stefan numbers(Ste)and Rayleigh numbers(Ra)on the melting *** results indicate that the PCm melting is greatly influenced by the Ste number and Ra number,which can be divided into the heat conduction dominant stage and the convection dominant stage,according to the onset time of convection Fo_(C).In order to describe the contribution of the heat conduction dominant stage to the whole melting process quantitatively,we firstly propose the ratio of the heat conduction dominant stage R_(pc),which can be defined as the ratio of Fo_(C)to the complete melting time Fo_(m).R_(pc)gradually decreases as the Ra number increases,and when the Ste number rises:R_(pc)=90.0%when Ste=1.0 and Ra=1×10^(5),R_(pc)=39.6%when Ste=0.1 and Ra=1×10^(5),and R_(pc)=14.0%when Ste=1.0 and Ra=1×10~7.A regime map about the effects of different Ste numbers and Ra numbers on R_(pc)has been further *** discovered findings would be helpful in regulating melting process in the energy storage of solid-liquid PCm.

Safe navigation of quadrotors with jerk limited trajectory

many aerial applications require unmanned aerial systems operate in safe zones because of the presence of obstacles or security regulations. It is a non-trivial task to generate a smooth trajectory satisfying both dynamic constraints and motion limits of the unmanned vehicles while being inside the safe zones. Then the task becomes even more challenging for real-time applications, for which computational efficiency is crucial. In this study, we present a safe flying corridor navigation method, which combines jerk limited trajectories with an efficient testing method to update the position setpoints in real time. Trajectories are generated online and incrementally with a cycle time smaller than 10 μs, which is exceptionally suitable for vehicles with limited onboard computational capability. Safe zones are represented with multiple interconnected bounding boxes which can be arbitrarily *** jerk limited trajectory generation algorithm has been extended to cover the cases with asymmetrical motion limits. The proposed method has been successfully tested and verified in flight simulations and actual experiments.

Dual metal ions/BNQDs boost PmS activation over copper tungstate photocatalyst for antibiotic removal:Intermediate,toxicity assessment and mechanism

In the metal-based peroxymonosulfate(PmS)activation process,the sluggish surface redox cycle of metal ions generally hampered the efficiency of PmS activation for pollutant ***,Codoped CuWO 4/BN quantum dots(CW/Co/BNQDs)photocatalysts were developed to realize Cu^(2+)/Cu+and Co^(2+)/Co^(3+)dual ions redox cycles for PmS activation,which would facilitate the tetracycline(TC)***/4Co/2BNQDs could degrade 94.8%TC within 30 min in PmS/Vis system,and the apparent rate constant of CW/4Co/2BNQDs was 2.7 times and 1.2 times higher than those of CW and CW/4Co,*** improved TC degradation performance could be attributed to the synergetic effect between BNQDs and dual redox cycles.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)spectra of samples before and after the reaction demonstrated that BNQDs were beneficial for accelerating the Cu^(2+)/Cu+and Co^(2+)/Co^(3+)redox cycles in CW/4Co/2BNQDs,further boosting the activation of PmS in TC *** of different radical scavengers revealed that the SO_(4)^(·−)/·OH/h+/^(1)O_(2)reactive species participated in the PmS activation for the TC degradation *** possible TC degradation pathway and intermediate toxicity were detailed *** addition,CW/4Co/2BNQDs exhibited outstanding photocatalytic activity over five consecutive cycles,which illustrated that it was supposed to be a reliable PmS activator over antibiotic elimination for practical *** this work shed new light on constructing dual redox cycles for efficient PmS activation.

OIP5 Interacts with NCK2 to mediate Human Spermatogonial Stem Cell Self-Renewal and Apoptosis through Cell Cyclins and Cycle Progression and Its Abnormality Is Correlated with male Infertility

Spermatogonial stem cells(SSCs)have important applications in both reproduction and regenerative ***,specific genes and signaling transduction pathways in mediating fate decisions of human SSCs remain ***,we have demonstrated for the first time that OIP5(Opa interacting protein 5)controlled the self-renewal and apoptosis of human *** sequencing identified that NCK2 was a target for OIP5 in human SSCs,and interestingly,OIP5 could interact with NCK2 as shown by Co-IP(co-immunoprecipitation),IP-mS(mass spectrometry),and GST pulldown ***2 silencing decreased human SSC proliferation and DNA synthesis but enhanced their ***,NCK2 knockdown reversed the influence of OIP5 overexpression on human ***,OIP5 inhibition decreased the numbers of human SSCs at S and G2/m phases,while the levels of numerous cell cycle proteins,including cyclins A2,B1,D1,E1 and H,especially cyclin D1,were remarkably ***,whole-exome sequencing of 777 patients with nonobstructive azoospermia(NOA)revealed 54 singlenucleotide polymorphism mutations of the OIP5 gene(6.95%),while the level of OIP5 protein was obviously lower in testes of NOA patients compared to fertile ***,these results implicate that OIP5 interacts with NCK2 to modulate human SSC self-renewal and apoptosis via cell cyclins and cell cycle progression and that its mutation and/or lower expression is correlated with *** such,this study offers novel insights into molecular mechanisms underlying the fate determinations of human SSCs and the pathogenesis of NOA,and it provides new targets for treating male infertility.
