K-Corruption Intermittent Attacks for Violating the Codiagnosability

In this work, we address the codiagnosability analysis problem of a networked discrete event system under malicious attacks. The considered system is modeled by a labeled Petri net and is monitored by a series of sites, in which each site possesses its own set of sensors, without requiring communication among sites or to any coordinators. A net is said to be codiagnosable with respect to a fault if at least one site could deduce the occurrence of this fault within finite steps. In this context, we focus on a type of malicious attack that is called stealthy intermittent replacement attack. The stealthiness demands that the corrupted observations should be consistent with the system's normal behavior, while the intermittent replacement setting entails that the replaced transition labels must be recovered within a bounded of consecutive corrupted observations(called as K-corruption intermittent attack). Particularly, there exists a coordination between attackers that are separately effected on different sites, which holds the same corrupted observation for each common transition under attacks. From an attacker viewpoint, this work aims to design Kcorruption intermittent attacks for violating the codiagnosability of systems. For this purpose, we propose an attack automaton to analyze K-corruption intermittent attack for each site, and build a new structure called complete attack graph that is used to analyze all the potential attacked paths. Finally, an algorithm is inferred to obtain the K-corruption intermittent attacks, and examples are given to show the proposed attack strategy.

In this article,we explored the role of adipose tissue,especially mesenteric adipose tissue and creeping fat,and its association with the gut microbiota in the pathophysiology and progression of Crohn’s disease(CD).CD is a form of inflammatory bowel disease characterized by chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract,influenced by genetic predisposition,gut microbiota dysbiosis,and environmental *** microbiota plays a crucial role in modulating immune response and intestinal inflammation and is associated with the onset and progression of ***,visceral adipose tissue,particularly creeping fat,a mesenteric adipose tissue characterized by hypertrophy and fibrosis,has been implicated in CD pathogenesis,inflammation,and *** bacteria from the gut microbiota may translocate into mesenteric adipose tissue,contributing to the formation of creeping fat and influencing CD *** creeping fat may be a protective barrier against bacterial invasion,its expansion can damage adjacent tissues,leading to *** gut microbiota through interventions such as fecal microbiota transplantation,probiotics,and prebiotics has shown potential in managing ***,more research is needed to clarify the mechanisms linking gut dysbiosis,creeping fat,and CD progression and develop targeted therapies for microbiota modulation and fat-related complications in patients with CD.

About 60%of emissions into the earth’s atmosphere are produced by the transport sector,caused by exhaust gases from conventional internal combustion *** effective solution to this problem is electric mobility,which significantly reduces the rate of urban *** use of electric vehicles(EVs)has to be encouraged and facilitated by new information and communication technology(ICT)*** help achieve this goal,this paper proposes innovative services for electric vehicle users aimed at improving travel and charging *** goal is to provide a smart service to allow drivers to find the most appropriate charging solutions during a trip based on information such as the vehicle’s current position,battery type,state of charge,nearby charge point availability,and *** particular,the drivers are supported so that they can find and book the preferred charge option according to time availability and the final cost of the charge points(CPs).To this purpose,two virtual sensors(VSs)are designed,modeled and simulated in order to provide the users with an innovative service for smart CP searching and *** particular,the first VS is devoted to locate and find available CPs in a preferred area,whereas the second VS calculates the charging cost for the EV and supports the driver in the booking phase.A UML activity diagram describes VSs operations and cooperation,while a UML sequence diagram highlights data exchange between the VSs and other electromobility ecosystem actors(CP operator,EV manufacturer,etc.).Furthermore,two timed Petri Nets(TPNs)are designed to model the proposed VSs,functioning and interactions as discrete event *** Petri Nets are synchronized by a single larger TPN that is simulated in different use cases and scenarios to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed VSs.

The implementation of a turbulent gas-kinetic scheme into a finite-volume RANS solver is put forward,with two turbulent quantities,kinetic energy and dissipation,supplied by an allied turbulence *** paper shows a number of numerical simulations of flow cases including an interaction between a shock wave and a turbulent boundary layer,where the shock-turbulent boundary layer is captured in a much more convincing way than it normally is by conventional schemes based on the Navier-Stokes *** the gas-kinetic scheme,the modeling of turbulence is part of the numerical scheme,which adjusts as a function of the ratio of resolved to unresolved scales of *** so doing,the turbulent stress tensor is not constrained into a linear relation with the strain *** it is modeled on the basis of the analogy between particles and eddies,without any assumptions on the type of turbulence or flow *** schemes lack multiscale mechanisms:the ratio of unresolved to resolved scales–very much like a degree of rarefaction–is not taken into account even if it may grow to non-negligible values in flow regions such as *** is precisely in these flow regions,that the turbulent gas-kinetic scheme seems to provide more accurate predictions than conventional schemes.

Prevailing evidence declares that Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication therapycould shift precancerous gastric conditions (PGC) and positively confines gastriccancer (GC) risk during long-term endoscopic follow-up. Nonetheless, there is ayet unsolved controversy regarding the best-individualized surveillance strategiesfollowing H. pylori eradication, based on malignant risk stratification. This lastdispute is due to the uncertainty of contemporary evidence and the role of *** inflammatory changes in underestimating PGC at the index ***, the current state of the art suggests that it is reasonable that highqualityendoscopy with histological assessment for the most accurate diagnosis ofPGC may be delayed in selected high-risk patients without alarm signs formalignancy, following the eradication of H. pylori. Notwithstanding, these aspectsneed to be further examined in the next future to establish and optimize the mostbeneficial and cost-effective strategies for recognizing and managing H. pyloripositivepatients with PGC in the short- and long-term follow-up. Accordingly,additional studies are yet required to sharpen the hazard stratification of patientswith the greatest chance of GC evolution, also recognizing the evolving racial,ethnic, immigration factors and the necessity of novel biomarkers to limit GCdevelopment or accomplish a diagnosis of malignancy at an early stage.

The ability to control the distribution of particles in a fluid is generally regarded as a factor of great importance in a variety of fields(manufacturing processes,biomedical applications,materials engineering and various particle separation processes,to cite a few).The present study considers the hitherto not yet addressed situation in which solid spherical particles are dispersed in a non-isothermal fluid undergoing turbulent vibrationally-induced convection(chaotic thermovibrational flow in a square cavity due to vibrations perpendicular to the imposed temperature difference).Although the possibility to use laminar thermovibrational flows(in microgravity)and turbulent flows of various types(in normal gravity conditions)to induce the accumulation of solid mass dispersed in a non-isodense fluid is already known,the interplay of finite-size finite-mass particles with chaotic flow in weightlessness conditions has never been *** the present study this subject is tackled through direct numerical solution of the fluid and particle tracking equations in the framework of a one-way coupling *** are presented for relatively wide ranges of vibrational amplitude,particle size and density.
