Bladder cancer(Bc)is one of the most frequently diagnosed types of urinary *** advances in treatment methods,no specific biomarkers are currently in *** and untargeted profiling of metabolites and elements of human blood serum from 100 Bc patients and the same number of normal controls(Ncs),with external validation,was attempted using three analytical methods,i.e.,nuclear magnetic resonance,gold and silver-109 nanoparticle-based laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry(LDI-Ms),and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry(IcP-Oes).All results were subjected to multivariate statistical *** potential serum biomarkers of Bc,namely,isobutyrate,pyroglutamate,choline,and acetate,were quantified with proton nuclear magnetic resonance,which had excellent predictive ability as judged by the area under the curve(AUc)value of *** elements,Li and Fe,were also found to distinguish between cancer and control samples,as judged from IcP-Oes data and AUc of 0.807(in validation set).Twenty-five putatively identified compounds,mostly related to glycans and lipids,differentiated Bc from Ncs,as detected using *** serum metabolites were found to discriminate between tumor grades and nine metabolites between tumor *** results from three different analytical platforms demonstrate that the identified distinct serum metabolites and metal elements have potential to be used for noninvasive detection,staging,and grading of Bc.

Aiming to produce materials with enhanced photocatalytic properties, the synthesis of new crystalline nanocomposites by combining titanate nanorods（TNR） with Zns nanocrystallites is described in this *** TNR modification was accomplished by an in situ nucleation and growth process of Zns *** diethyldithiocarbamate was used as the metal chalcogenide precursor. The prepared materials were structural, morphological and optical characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and high resolution transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy and powder diffuse reflectance spectra. crystalline Zn s nanoparticles were obtained as a homogeneous and continuous layer, covering completely the TNR surface. The application of these new nanocomposite materials on photocatalytic degradation of pollutants was investigated. First, the evaluation of hydroxyl radical formation, using the terephthalic acid as probe, was studied. Afterwards, the adsorption and photodegradation of safranine-T, used here as a model pollutant molecule, was investigated. The obtained data indicate that the prepared nanocomposites have potential to be used as photocatalysts for organic pollutant *** best removal results（97% removal） were obtained using the 0.01 Zn s/HTNR sample as catalyst（0.2 g/L; 10 ppm safranin-T solution） with a combination of a low dye adsorption（20%） and a high dye photocatalytic degradation（77%）.

Oxidative stress occurs in the organism with ischemia due to tourniquet use and subsequent reperfusion. Oxidative stress increases postoperative morbidity. some Non-steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NsAIDs) perform their anti-inflammatory effects in part by binding or inhibiting their formation of active oxygen radicals at the site of inflammation. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effect of IV ibuprofen on ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty over oxidative stress parameters. The patients were randomly divided into two groups. Each patient’s protocol number, age, sex, body mass index (BMI), additional disease, drug use, tourniquet time, hemoglobin value, additional analgesic requirement and application, adverse reaction development on the first postoperative day were recorded in the research follow-up form. Both groups of patients;before anesthesia, 45 minutes after tourniquet application, 5 minutes after tourniquet lowering, 20 minutes after tourniquet lowering and at 24th-hour post-op;TOS, TAS, paraoxonase, arylesterase, myeloperoxidase, catalase, ceruloplasmin, albumin, IMA, thiol-disulfide balance tests were studied. Statistical analysis of test results was performed. We observed that antioxidants decreased and oxidants increased on the first postoperative day in both groups in patients who underwent total knee arthroplasty. The decrease in antioxidant parameters was higher in IV ibuprofen doses compared to the control group in the case group;these doses indicate that the drug adversely affects the organism in the fight against oxidative stress, which is an undesirable effect. To evaluate this negative effect of IV ibuprofen which is increasingly used in postoperative analgesia, studies with different doses of drugs and different surgeries may be needed.

Objective:To evaluate in ritro antimicrobial activities of selected 58 ethno-medicinal plant extracts with a view to assess their therapeutic ***:A total of 58 traditional chinese medicinal plants were carefully selected based on the literature review and their traditional *** antimicrobial activities of ethanol extracts of these medicinal plants were tested against fungi(Aspergillus funigaius),yeast(candida albicans),gram-negative(Acirelobacter haumannii and Pseudornnruis aeruginosa)and gram-positive bacteria(staphglococcus aureus).The activities were tested at three different concentrations of 1.00,0.10 and 0.01 mg/*** data was analysed using Gene data screener ***:The measured antimicrobial activities indicated that out of the 58 plant extracts,15 extracts showed anti-fungal activity and 23 extracts exhibited anti-bacterial *** plant extracts have exhibited both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal *** instance,eucommia ulmoides,Pohgonum cuspidcrtum,Poria cocas and Uncaria rhineophylla showed activity against both bacterial and fungal strains,indicating their broad spectrum of ***:The results revealed that the ethanol extracts of 30 plants out of the selected 58 possess significant antimicrobial *** is interesting to note that the findings from the current study are consistent with the traditional use.A clear correlation has also been found between the antimicrobial activity and the flavonoid content of the plant extracts which is in agreement with the *** results presented here can be used to guide the selection of potential plant species for the isolation and structure elucidation of novel antimicrobial compounds in order to establish the structure-activity *** in turn is expected to lead the way to the discovery of novel antimicrobial agents for therapeutic use.

The Review summarizes much of particle physics and cosmology. Using data from previous editions, plus 3,283 new measurements from 899 papers, we list, evaluate, and average measured properties of gauge bosons and the recently discovered Higgs boson, leptons, quarks, mesons, and baryons. We summarize searches for hypothetical particles such as heavy neutrinos, supersymmetric and technicolor particles, axions, dark photons, etc. All the particle properties and search limits are listed in summary Tables. We also give numerous tables, figures, formulae, and reviews of topics such as supersymmetry, extra Dimensions, Particle Detectors, Probability, and statistics. Among the 112 reviews are many that are new or heavily revised including those on： Dark energy, Higgs Boson Physics, electroweak Model, Neutrino cross section Measurements, Monte carlo Neutrino Generators, Top Quark, Dark Matter, Dynamical electroweak symmetry Breaking, Accelerator Physics of colliders, High-energy collider Parameters, Big Bang Nucleosynthesis, Astrophysical constants and cosmological Parameters. A booklet is available containing the summary Tables and abbreviated versions of some of the other sections of this full Review. Indo-Japanese Lidar Observations of the Tropical Middle Atmosphere During 1998 and 1999

A state-of-the art Rayleigh and Mie backscattering lidar was set up at Gadanki （13.5°N, 79.2°e） in the Tropics in India. Using this system, regular observations of upper tropospheric clouds, aerosols at stratospheric heights and atmospheric temperatures in the range from 30 to 80 km were made. In this paper, the data collected during the period of 1998-99 were selected for systematic investigation and presentation. The Mie scattering lidar system is capable of measuring the degree of depolarization in the laser backscattering. several tropical cirrus cloud structures have been identified with low to moderate ice content. Occasionally, thin sub-visible cirrus clouds in the vicinity of the tropical tropopause have also been detected. The aerosol measurements in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere show low aerosol content with a vertical distribution up to 35 km altitude. Rayleigh-scattering lidar observations reveal that at the tropical site, temperature inversion occurs at mesospheric heights. Atmospheric waves have induced perturbations in the temperatures for several times at the upper stratospheric heights. A significant warming in the lower mesosphere associated with a consistent cooling in the upper stratospheric heights is observed particularly in the winter season during the events of sudden stratospheric warming （ssw）.
