The aim of this work was to develop a functional biodegradable nonwoven with antimicrobial microcapsules maintaining the stability and biodegradability of the nonwoven for use in agriculture applications. The nonwoven was obtained using hemp fibers by Wetlaid technology. Microcapsules were prepared by co-extrusion/gelling method with alginate as shell and oregano oil as core material. The microcapsules were developed to protect and control release of oregano oil. Microcapsules were incorporated on the nonwoven by coating method using a natural polymer as a graft material. After incorporating micro-capsules, the nonwoven was subjected to several tests in order to determinate the microcapsules fixation and their functionality. The nonwovens were characterized for their antimicrobial activity against different kinds of bacteria and fungi. Nonwoven loaded with microcapsules was found to show good antimicrobial activity in comparison with nonwoven that was not loaded with microcapsules.

The use of flours or phenolic extracts obtained from non-traditional sources or agri-food industry by-products has been a strategy used to formulate new bakery products with characteristics of a functional ***,phenolic compounds present great structural diversity,as well as the ability to interact in a complex way with the macromolecules that constitute the bread ***,the addition of these flours,extracts or pure compounds produces various effects on the microstructure of bread,and several of its sensory *** is mainly due to interactions between phenolic compounds and gluten *** objective of this review is to analyze some of the most recent published works on the addition of phenolic compounds in wheat bread to identify the type of positive and negative effects that have been observed and how they can be related to the physicochemical interactions between phenolic compounds and the macromolecules that constitute the food matrix,mainly *** effect of monomeric and polymeric phenolic compounds on the strength of these interactions and on the properties of dough and bread are discussed.

BACKGROUND Despite the advent of biological drugs, conventional therapy continues to be used in moderate to severe inflammatory bowel disease(MS-IBD). This study hypothesized that as a standard of treatment and the primary alternative to biologics, conventional therapy should present robust effectiveness results in IBD *** To investigate the effectiveness of conventional therapy for *** A systematic review with no time limit was conducted in July 2017 through the Cochrane Collaboration, MEDLINE, and LILACS databases. The inclusion criteria encompassed meta-analyses, systematic reviews, randomized clinical trials, observational and case-control studies concerning conventional therapy in adult patients with MS-IBD, including Crohn's disease(CD) and ulcerative colitis(UC). Corticosteroids(prednisone, hydrocortisone, budesonide, prednisolone,dexamethasone), 5-aminosalicylic acid(5-ASA) derivatives(mesalazine and sulfasalazine) and immunosuppressants [azathioprine(AZA), methotrexate(MTX), mycophenolate, cyclosporine, tacrolimus, 6-mercaptopurine(6-MP)] were considered conventional therapy. The exclusion criteria were sample size below50; narrative reviews; specific subpopulations(e.g., pregnant women,comorbidities); studies on postoperative IBD; and languages other than English,Spanish, French or Portuguese. The primary outcome measures were clinical remission(induction or maintenance), clinical response and mucosal healing. As secondary outcomes, fecal calprotectin, hospitalization, death, and surgeries were analyzed. Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBDs),such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease,are chronic pathologies associated with a deregulated immune response in the intestinal mucosa,and they are triggered by environmental factors in genetically susceptible *** glucocorticoids(GCs)are widely used as anti-inflammatory therapy in *** the past,patients with moderate or severe states of inflammation received GCs as a first line therapy with an important effectiveness in terms of reduction of the disease activity and the induction of ***,this treatment often results in detrimental side *** downside drove the development of second generation GCs and more precise(non-systemic)drugdelivery *** clinical trials show that most of these new treatments have similar effectiveness to first generation GCs with fewer adverse *** remaining challenge in successful treatment of IBDs concerns the refractoriness and dependency that some patients encounter during GCs treatment.A deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying GC response is key to personalizing drug choice for IBDs patients to optimize their response to *** this review,we examine the clinical characteristics of treatment with GCs,followed by an in depth analysis of the proposed molecular mechanisms involved in its resistance and dependence associated with *** thorough analysis of current clinical and biomedical literature may help guide physicians in determining a course of treatment for IBDs patients and identifies important areas needing further study.

This investigation has presented an approach to Extractive Automatic Text Summarization (EATS). A framework focused on the summary of a single document has been developed, using the Tf-ldf method (Frequency Term, Inverse Document Frequency) as a reference, dividing the document into a subset of documents and generating value of each of the words contained in each document, those documents that show Tf-Idf equal or higher than the threshold are those that represent greater importance, therefore;can be weighted and generate a text summary according to the user’s request. This document represents a derived model of text mining application in today’s world. We demonstrate the way of performing the summarization. Random values were used to check its performance. The experimented results show a satisfactory and understandable summary and summaries were found to be able to run efficiently and quickly, showing which are the most important text sentences according to the threshold selected by the user.

Purpose: This study aims to compare adolescents' cardiometabolic risk score through an integrative classification of physical activity(PA),which involves the combination of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA) and sedentary behavior(SB).Methods: A cross-sectional study derived from the Healthy Lifestyle in Europe by Nutrition in Adolescence Cross-Sectional Study database(2006-2008) was conducted in adolescents(n = 548; boys, 47.3%; 14.7 ± 1.2 years) from 10 European cities. MVPA and SB were objectively measured using accelerometry. Adolescents were divided into 4 categories according to MVPA(meeting or not meeting the international recommendations) and the median of SB time(above or below sex-and age-specific median) as follows: High-SB & Inactive, Low-SB & Inactive,High-SB & Active, and Low-SB & Active. A clustered cardiometabolic risk score was computed using the homeostatic model assessment, systolic blood pressure, triglycerides, total cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, sum 4 skinfolds, and cardiorespiratory fitness(CRF).Analyses of covariance were performed to discern differences on cardiometabolic risk scores among PA categories and each health ***: The cardiometabolic risk score was lower in adolescents meeting the MVPA recommendation and with less time spent in SB in comparison to the high-SB & Inactive group(p < 0.05). However, no difference in cardiometabolic risk score was established between High-SB or Low-SB groups in inactive adolescents. It is important to note that CRF was the only variable that showed a significant modification(higher)when children were compared from the category of physically inactive with "active" but not from high-to ***: Being physically active is the most significant and protective outcome in adolescents to reduce cardiometabolic risk. Lower SB does not exhibit a significant and extra beneficial difference.

AIM： To determine prevalence of H pylori infection in symptomatic children in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and to investigate factors associated with HpyloH positivity. METHODS： A total of 395 children with upper gastrointestinal symptoms referred to the Gastroenterology Unit of the Children Hospital ＂Sor Maria Ludovica＂ were evaluated for the presence of H py/or/by the ^13C-Urea Breath Test （^13C-UBT）. A questionnaire was applied to the recruited population. RESULTS： Prevalence of H pylo H infection was 40.0% in this population （mean age 9.97 ± 3.1 years）. The factors associated with H py/or/positivity were number of siblings （P 〈 0.001）, presence of pet cats （P = 0.03） and birds （P = 0.04） in the household, and antecedents of gastritis among family members （P = 0.01）. After multivariate analysis, number of siblings [Odds ratio （OR） = 1.39; 95% CI, 1.20-1.61] and contact with pet cats （OR = 1.76; 95% CI, 1.00-3.09） remained as variables associated with H pylori infection. CONCLUSION： The prevalence of H pylori infection in children with upper gastrointestinal symptoms in Argentina was similar to that reported in developed countries. Children from families with a higher crowding index and presence of pet cats have a higher risk of being colonized with Hpylori.

Fatty Acids and Triglycerides Composition in Uruguayan Cow, Sheep and Goat Cheeses

The cement raw mixtures often contain minor components as magnesium oxide and various kind of sulphates . Generally, if the content in such oxides is under 4-6%. they do not have a significant influence upon the Portland cement properties. In the case of fcrroportland clinkers, the presence of the above mentioned oxides. MgO and SO3, has a significant influence both upon the clinkering temperature and the mechanical properties of the corresponding cements. In the present study, brownmillcrit with or without MgO or/and SO3 (as CaSO4) was synthesized by solid state reaction from pure reagents: CaCO3, Al2O3 and Fe2O3 at 1250℃for 30 minutes. Four different ways of cooling were used: air quenching, water quenching, cooling slowly in the furnace atmosphere and cooling up to 1000oC in furnace atmosphere followed bv air quenching. Rapid cooling of the binder (air and water quenching) determines shorter setting times in comparison with the standard sample cooled in the same conditions and almost doubling of the comprcssive strengths, after 28 days of hardening.

Adverse health consequences are associated with consumption of so-called trans fatty acids （FAs） generated during chemical hydrogenation processes. Naturally-occurring trans fats, including trans vaccenic acid （TVA） derived from a conjugated isomer of linoleic acid （18：2 cis-9, trans-11）, （CLA） in contrast, are recognized as having potentially beneficial effects on human health. These natural trans FAs are found in fat from dairy products and meat of ruminants, and have distinct effects compared with trans FAs industrially produced. The lipid composition of cheeses depends on the milk used. In this work was determined CLA and TVA content in milk fat of sheep and cow to be 1.4% and 3.2%, respectively, and from goat, 0.7% and 1.8%. Also, differences in CLA and TVA content were found in fat extracted from samples of the same cheese type made from cow＇s milk from the same company but with different production dates during a year. The levels of CLA and TVA found in Uruguayan cheeses were generally higher than levels reported in previous studies with comparable cheeses produced in other countries. Milk fat is well-known to confer specific properties to foods. This in turn will affect the rheology and sensory attributes as food. For this reason, it is of interest to determine the triglyceride （TAG） composition in milk-derived foods. Results show that there are characteristic differences in the TAG composition of the different cheeses. We found minimal differences between cheeses from goat and sheep but found distinct characteristics for TAGs from cow milk-derived cheese.
