Progress in the studies of chirality in atomic nuclei at iThemba LABs is *** regions of chirality,around mass 80 and 190 have been discovered using the AFRODITe array,specifically in the nuclei^(74)As,^(78,80,82)Br,^(81)Kr,and^(193,194,198)*** phenomena have been observed,including multiple chiral bands in the same nucleus,the coexistence of octupole correlations and nuclear chirality,and the coexistence of pseudo spin and nuclear *** best example of chiral degeneracy to date was found in ^(194)*** level scheme of ^(106)Ag has been revisited and interpreted in terms of two-and four-quasiparticle *** using the particle-rotor model have shown that the fingerprints of chirality in the two-quasiparticle system only can occur in an idealised model *** systems with a higher number of quasiparticles,the calculations showed that nuclear chirality can persist.

The main objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of inertia of nonlinear springs on the dispersion behavior of discrete monoatomic chains with lumped and distributed *** developed model can represent the wave propagation problem in a non-homogeneous material consisting of heavy inclusions embedded in a *** inclusions are idealized by lumped masses,and the matrix between adjacent inclusions is modeled by a nonlinear spring with distributed ***,the model is capable of depicting the wave propagation in bi-material bars,wherein the first material is represented by a rigid particle and the.s.cond one is represented by a nonlinear spring with distributed *** discrete model of the nonlinear monoatomic chain with lumped and distributed masses is first considered,and a closed-form expression of the dispersion relation is obtained by the.s.cond-order Lindstedt-Poincare method(LPM).Next,a continuum model for the nonlinear monoatomic chain is derived directly from its discrete lattice model by a suitable continualization *** subsequent use of the.s.cond-order method of multiple scales(MMs)facilitates the derivation of the corresponding nonlinear dispersion relation in a closed *** novelties of the present study consist of(i)considering the inertia of nonlinear springs on the dispersion behavior of the discrete mass-spring chains;(ii)developing the.s.cond-order LPM for the wave propagation in the discrete chains;and(iii)deriving a continuum model for the nonlinear monoatomic chains with lumped and distributed ***,a parametric study is conducted to examine the effects of the design parameters and the distributed spring mass on the nonlinear dispersion relations and phase velocities obtained from both the discrete and continuum *** parameters include the ratio of the spring mass to the lumped mass,the nonlinear stiffne.s.coefficient of the spring,and the wave amplitude.

The oxidation behavior of Ni-based superalloy GH4742 exposed to water vapor was investigated at 900-1100℃for 50 h in Ar+20%H_(2)O,with Ar+20%O_(2)included for *** presence of H_(2)O is adverse to formation of continuous cr_(2)O_(3)oxide layer but contributes to generation of big *** on this,Ni^(2+)and co^(2+)are more easily to diffuse towards the outermost oxide layer(OOL),forming non-protective Ni-and co-rich oxides with high *** leads to a higher weight gain in Ar+20%H_(2)O than that in Ar+20%O_(2).At elevated temperatures,the spallation of oxide scale occurs while the consumption of cr is reduced in Ar+20%H_(2)O,and the contents of Ni-and co-rich oxides at this moment are reduced in the *** oxidation mechanism was also discussed.

Rock samples'TOc content is the best indicator of the organic matter in source *** origin rock samples’analysis is used to calculate it manually by *** method requires time and resources because it relies on samples from many well intervals in source ***,research has been done to aid this *** learning algorithms can estimate total organic carbon instead of well logs and stratigraphic *** light of these efforts,the current work present a study on automating the total organic carbon estimation using machine learning approaches improved by an evolutionary methodology to give the model flexibility and *** algorithms,differential evolution,particle swarm optimization,grey wolf optimization,artificial bee colony,and evolution strategies were used to improve machine learning models to predict *** six metaheuristics were integrated into four machine learning methods:extreme learning machine,elastic net linear model,linear support vector regression,and multivariate adaptive regression *** samples from the YuDong-Nan shale gas field,located in the.s.chuan basin,were used to evaluate the hybrid *** findings show that combining machine learning models with an evolutionary algorithms in a hybrid fashion produce flexible models that accurately predict *** results show that,independent of the metaheuristic used to guide the model selection,optimized extreme learning machines attained the best performance scores according to six *** hybrid mode.s.can be used in exploratory geological research,particularly for unconventional oil and gas resources.

This paper presents an investigation of the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete(Rc)structures in which shear walls are the main lateral load-resisting elements and the participation of flat slab floor systems is not considered in the seismic design *** this regard,the behavior of six prototype structures(with different heights and plan layouts)is investigated through nonlinear static and time history analyses,implemented in the Opensees *** results of the analyses are presented in terms of the behavior of the slab-column connections and their mode of failure at different loading ***,the global response of the buildings is discussed in terms of some parameters,such as lateral overstrength due to the gravity flat slab-column *** to the nonlinear static analyses,in structures in which the slab-column connections were designed only for gravity loads,the slab-column connections exhibited a punching mode of failure even in the early stages of ***,the punching failure was eliminated in structures in which a minimum transverse reinforcement recommended in AcI 318(2019)was provided in the slabs at joint ***,despite neglecting the contribution of gravity flat slab-column frames in the lateral load resistance of the structures,a relatively significant overstrength was imposed on the structures by the gravity frames.

KLnF_(4):Yb^(3+),er^(3+)/Ho^(3+)(Ln=Y,Yb,Gd)phosphors were prepared by solid-state reaction *** each of the Yb^(3+)/er^(3+)and Yb^(3+)/Ho^(3+)co-doped phosphors independently,phase confirmation and morphological examination were accomplished using the X-ray diffraction technique and scanning electron microscope analysis.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis shows the charge state and existence of lanthanides and *** luminescence emissions of green and red colour were detected for the synthesized *** changes in the upconverted emission intensities and colour output pertaining to the change of the lanthanide host matrix along with dopants were investigated for the prepared *** the upconversion luminescence,erbium-doped samples exhibit a predominance of red emission while holmium-doped samples display a prevalence of green *** rare-earth er/Ho doped KYbF4shows strong red emission compared to other ***_(4):Yb,er/Ho exhibits relatively significant green upconve rsion emissions,while Yb,er-doped KGdF_(4)host displays a 10-fold increase in green/red emission ratio with an increase in the input power of 20-780 *** photoluminescence studies and decay curve analysis were carried out using UV light excitation for the developed phosphors.A higher lifetime of 2.2 ms was measured for the downshifting red emission in the Ho doped KYbF_(4)*** study suggests a potential for colour tunability in the upconversion and downshifting emissions through host modifications to the fluoride phosphor.

The spatial pattern distribution of plant hormones in response to aluminum (Al) toxicity in roots remains to be shown. This study was performed to assess the root hormonal accumulation and gene expression in response to Al toxicity in five transgenic miniature dwarf tomatoes cv. Micro-Tom (MT). MT and MT transgenics to acid indole acetic, cytokinin, gibberellin, abscisic acid and ethylene were cultivated in nutrient solutions containing different Al concentrations. Root growth elongation was measured and cellular damage was visualized by staining evans’s blue. The GUs reporter gene staining technique was used to visualize hormonal changes in MT apex root tissues. Data indicated that the MT is sensitive to Al that induced significant growth inhibition and cellular damage. Al concentration of 27 μM was significantly toxic, inducing root apex darkening and inhibition of root development. The qualitative evaluation of GUs reporter gene expression showed intense crosstalk among all hormones studied, underscoring the complexity of signaling induced by Al in apex roots. Results point out to a major understanding of the hormonal signaling in response to Al toxicity, which may induce a change of root growth and architecture with growth inhibition and cell constraints modulated by all different hormones evaluated.

In this study,we investigated the anomalous chromomagnetic Dipole Moment(cMDM),denoted as μ_(q)^(BLHM),of light quarks q=(u,c,d,s,b) within the framework of the Bestest Little Higgs Model(BLHM)as an extension of the standard Model(sM).Our investigation encompassed novel interactions among the light quarks,heavy quark B,and heavy bosons (W'^(±),H^(±),φ^(±),η^(±))incorporating the extended cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa(cKM)matrix characteristic of the *** thoroughly explored the permissible parameter space,yielding a spectrum of cMDM values ranging from 10^(-10) to 10^(-3).
