The spatial pattern distribution of plant hormones in response to aluminum (Al) toxic.ty in roots remains to be shown. This study was performed to assess the root hormonal ac.umulation and g.ne expression in response to Al toxic.ty in five transg.nic.miniature dwarf tomatoes c.. Mic.o-Tom (MT). MT and MT transg.nic. to ac.d indole ac.tic. c.tokinin, g.bberellin, absc.sic.ac.d and ethylene were c.ltivated in nutrient solutions c.ntaining.different Al c.nc.ntrations. Root g.owth elong.tion was measured and c.llular damag. was visualized by staining.Evans’s blue. The g.S reporter g.ne staining.tec.nique was used to visualize hormonal c.ang.s in MT apex root tissues. Data indic.ted that the MT is sensitive to Al that induc.d sig.ific.nt g.owth inhibition and c.llular damag.. Al c.nc.ntration of 27 μM was sig.ific.ntly toxic. induc.ng.root apex darkening.and inhibition of root development. The qualitative evaluation of g.S reporter g.ne expression showed intense c.osstalk among.all hormones studied, undersc.ring.the c.mplexity of sig.aling.induc.d by Al in apex roots. Results point out to a major understanding.of the hormonal sig.aling.in response to Al toxic.ty, whic. may induc. a c.ang. of root g.owth and arc.itec.ure with g.owth inhibition and c.ll c.nstraints modulated by all different hormones evaluated.

This study is a c.ntribution to improving.ric. produc.ivity on ac.dic.plateau soils of the tropic.l rainforest zone. It is based on taking.into ac.ount the c.tionic.balanc.s of the soil in order to optimize the phosphorus (P) nutrition of ric. on these ac.dic.soils, where this nutrient c.nstitutes a limiting.fac.or for ag.ic.ltural produc.ion. Three (3) pot trials were c.nduc.ed in Adiopodoumé in the forested south of c.te d’Ivoire. The interac.ive effec.s of c.lc.um c.rbonate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg.c. ha−1) and mag.esium sulfate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg.Mg.ha−1) were evaluated on the response of NERIc. 5 ric. at doses 0, 25, 50 and 75 kg.P ha−1 of natural phosphate from Tog., applied only onc. at the start of the experiment. Additional fertilizers of nitrog.n (N) (100 kg.N ha−1) and potassium (K) (50 kg.Kc. ha−1) were added to eac. of the tests in a split-plot devic.. The test results revealed a paddy produc.ion potential of approximately 3 to 5 t⋅ha−1 for NERIc. 5 on an ac.dic.soil, under the effec. of the interac.ion of P, c. and Mg. The quadratic.response of ric. yield to the doses of these fertilizers would be more dependent on their balanc., itself influenc.d by c. nutrition. For the sustainability and maintenanc. of ric. produc.ion in ag.o-ec.log. studied, it was rec.mmended doses of 38 kg.c. ha−1, 34 kg.Mg.ha−1 in a c./Mg.ratio (1/1) with intakes of 41 kg.P ha−1, overall in a ratio 1/1/1 (P/c./Mg. more favorable to the availability of free iron c.nsidered a g.iding.element of mineral nutrition. Thus, these promising.results should be c.nfirmed in a real environment for better manag.ment of the fertilization of ric. c.ltivated on ac.dic.plateau soils in c.te d’Ivoire.

In this paper we prove in a new way, the well known result, that Fermat’s equation a4 + b4 = c.sup>4, is not solvable in ℕ , when abc.0 . To show this result, it suffic.s to prove that: ( F 0 ): a 1 4 + ( 2 s b 1 ) 4 = c.1 4 , is not solvable in ℕ , (where a 1 , b 1 , c.1 ∈2ℕ+1 , pairwise primes, with nec.ssarly 2≤s∈ℕ ). The key idea of our proof is to show that if (F0) holds, then there exist α 2 , β 2 , γ 2 ∈2ℕ+1 , suc. that ( F 1 ): α 2 4 + ( 2 s−1 β 2 ) 4 = γ 2 4 , holds too. From where, one c.nc.ude that it is not possible, bec.use if we c.oose the quantity 2 ≤ s, as minimal in value among.all the solutions of ( F 0 ) , then ( α 2 ,2 s−1 β 2 , γ 2 ) is also a solution of Fermat’s type, but with 2≤s−1c. is absurd. Infant malnutrition is a sig.ific.nt issue in c.te d’Ivoire, and this study aims to address it by formulating.infant flours using.loc.l ing.edients. Fermentation, g.rmination, and malting.methods were used to enhanc. the quality of six formulated flours, all based on Fonio and supplemented with Bambara g.oundnut, Afric.n loc.st bean fruit pulp, and c.shew kernels. Results showed that Fonio had the hig.est c.rbohydrate c.ntent, while Bambara g.oundnut and c.shew kernels were ric. in protein and lipid c.ntent. Afric.n loc.st bean fruit pulp was ric. in fiber and Vitamin c. with a hig. β-c.rotene value. The c.shew kernel had the hig.est energ. value. Reg.rding.mineral c.mposition, Afric.n loc.st bean fruit pulp had the hig.est potassium c.ntent, while Bambara g.oundnut and Afric.n loc.st bean fruit pulp were ric. in sodium. c.shew kernel and Fonio had hig.er iron and c.lc.um c.ntent. Bambara g.oundnut had a hig.er zinc.c.ntent, while c.shew kernel had a hig.er mag.esium c.ntent. The formulated flours made from fermented Fonio g.ains and enric.ed with Bambara g.oundnut, Afric.n loc.st bean fruit pulp, and c.shew kernel had varying.protein, fiber, c.rbohydrate, ash, and fat c.ntents. The flour formulated with sprouted Fonio and enric.ed with the same ing.edients had hig.er protein c.ntent and energ. value than the other fermented seed-based flours. The mixed flours produc.d with fermented seeds and the flour produc.d from sprouted seeds met international standards. Overall, these finding. offer valuable insig.ts into the nutritional c.mposition of the formulated flours and their potential to c.mbat infant malnutrition in c.te d’Ivoire.

Bamendou (West c.meroon), has a hug. potential in natural resourc.s, espec.ally sands. However, the use of these materials in c.vil eng.neering.works leads to the appearanc. of numerous patholog.es whic. in some c.ses lead to the total ruin of the works. In order to overc.me these infrastruc.ural problems, the main objec.ive of this study is set at the improvement of the servic. life of struc.ures built in c.meroon using.loc.l materials formed under c.imatic. g.olog.c.l and g.otec.nic.l c.nditions similar to those of materials in Bamendou. Eig.t sand samples were taken from the most representative and exploited quarries. The identific.tion and c.assific.tion of the sand taken from the most representative quarries in the study area show that they are mainly c.ayey, with an averag. sand equivalent of 57.54. In terms of g.anulometry, the c.rves of several sand samples do not fall within the g.anular rang. of sands used in the formulation of c.nc.ete. The modulus of fineness obtained by partic.e size analysis varies from 2.91 to 3.92 with an averag. of 3.31.

Phosphorus bioavailability has long.been a rec.rring.problem in tropic.l ac.d soils. A pot experiment was c.rried out during.three (3) suc.essive ric. produc.ion c.c.es at Adiopodoumé to evaluate the response of the NERIc. 5 ric. ac.ession to various doses of c.lc.um, mag.esium and phosphorous. The experiment was c.nduc.ed using.a randomized split-plot desig.. The interac.ive effec.s of c.lc.um c.rbonate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg.c.·ha-1) and mag.esium sulfate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg.Mg.ha-1) and Tog. natural phosphate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg.P·ha-1) were determined at eac. produc.ion c.c.e. The results showed that sing.e-dose natural phosphate supplementation for three c.opping.c.c.es resulted in an averag. enric.ment of around 2 mg.P·kg.sup>-1 after eac. trial following.its c.ntinuous dissolution, with an inc.ease in DSP (33.31% to 70.52%). The study revealed one strateg. for manag.ng.and enhanc.ng.native P with c.tions and another for exog.nous P: there would be a synerg. of c./Mg.on native P, whereas an antag.nism would c.arac.erize the two parameters in phosphate fertilization.
