Indonesia's vast maritime territory of.ers a unique opportunity f.r harnessing the potential Energy of.seawater currents. This study explores the ef.ectiveness of.a comb.ned Savonius and propeller-type turb.ne system. The Savonius turb.ne, known f.r its ef.iciency in capturing ocean currents due to its large sweep area, is comb.ned with a propeller-type turb.ne to enhance rotational speed and power generation. A novel approach is employed to induce turb.lence and optimize energy extraction, f.rst channeling water through the propeller turb.ne and then into the Savonius turb.ne. A comprehensive investigation is conducted through simulations and experimental tests within a controlled tunnel environment. The study explores the perf.rmance of.two-b.aded and three-b.aded Propeller-Savonius conf.gurations at varying inlet water velocities (0.1, 0.3, 0.6 and 1.0 m/s). The simulation incorporates a turb.lence model with 5% intensity and a hydraulic diameter of.0.216 m. Results indicate that the proposed conf.guration achieves a maximum power output of.2.0293 W with an impressive ef.iciency of.63.339% in simulation. Concurrently, experimental testing yields a peak ef.iciency of.61.335% and turb.ne power of.0.3951 W. The f.ndings demonstrate the f.asib.lity of.the comb.ned turb.ne system and highlight the importance of.turb.lence in optimizing energy extraction f.om seawater currents. This research contrib.tes valuab.e insights into the design and perf.rmance of.hyb.id turb.nes f.r harnessing oceanic Energy, emphasizing the potential f.r sustainab.e power generation in maritime regions. The methodology and results presented herein of.er a f.undation f.r f.rther exploration and ref.nement of.seawater current energy conversion technologies. The thermal examination of.a non-integer-ordered mob.le f.n with a magnetism in the presence of.a trihyb.id nanof.uid(f._3O_4-Au-Zn-b.ood) is carried out. Three types of.nanoparticles, each having a dif.erent shape, are considered. These shapes include spherical(f._3O_4), cylindrical(Au), and platelet(Zn) conf.gurations. The comb.nation approach is utilized to evaluate the physical and thermal characteristics of.the trihyb.id and hyb.id nanof.uids, excluding the thermal conductivity and dynamic viscosity. These two properties are inf.rred b. means of.the interpolation method b.sed on the volume f.action of.nanoparticles. The governing equation is transf.rmed into a dimensionless f.rm, and the Adomian decomposition Sumudu transf.rm method(ADSTM) is adopted to solve the conundrum of.a moving f.n immersed in a trihyb.id nanof.uid. The ob.ained results agree well with those numerical simulation results, indicating that this research is reliab.e. The inf.uence of.diverse f.ctors on the thermal overview f.r varying noninteger values of.γ is analyzed and presented in graphical representations. f.rthermore, the f.uctuations in the heat transf.r concerning the pertinent parameters are studied. The results show that the heat f.ux in the presence of.the comb.nation of.spherical, cylindrical, and platelet nanoparticles is higher than that in the presence of.the comb.nation of.only spherical and cylindrical nanoparticles. The temperature at the f.n tip increases b. 0.705 759% when the value of.the Peclet numb.r increases b. 400%, while decreases b. 11.825 13% when the value of.the Hartman numb.r increases b. 400%.

In 2012, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) practitioners in Australia b.came nationally-registered allied health prof.ssionals in three categories: acupuncturist, Chinese herb.l medicine practitioner, and Chinese herb.l medicine dispenser. Australia was the f.rst Western country to introduce national registration f.r Chinese medicine, f.llowed b. Portugal and, recently, New Zealand. The practice of.TCM in Australia can b. traced b.ck to the b.ginning of.Chinese immigration to Australia during the Victorian Gold Rush which b.gan in the 1850s. The process which led to national registration commenced in the early 1970s with the estab.ishment of.the f.rst acupuncture courses. Decades of.gradual development of.courses f.om unaccredited part-time diplomas to accredited b.chelor degrees, and the development, b. the prof.ssion, of.national consensus on educational standards were essential elements in the process which led to registration. Prof.ssional associations, such as the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association ltd.(AACMA), also developed a f.amework of.prof.ssional self.egulation, including Codes of.Ethics, Codes of.Conduct, ongoing prof.ssional development requirements and Inf.ction Control Guidelines, and provided leadership in the development of.the prof.ssion. Af.er decades of.trib.lism and division within the TCM prof.ssion, the National Academic Standards Committee b.ought almost all stakeholders together to reach a consensus on the Australian Guidelines f.r Traditional Chinese Medicine Education which were pub.ished b. AACMA in 2001. Prof.ssional associations also collab.rated on joint sub.issions to the government in support of.registration, which was introduced f.rst in the state of.Victoria in 2000, and sub.equently b.came national in 2012. Despite national registration, some b.rriers still remain, and prof.ssional associations continue to lob.y the f.deral government f.r inclusion in Medicare, chronic disease management scheme, and Veterans

Impact of.Relative Dose Intensity (RDI) on Survival in Non-Metastatic b.east Cancer: Nigerian Experience

b.ckground: This study was initiated to determine practices patterns in adjuvant chemotherapy f.r non-metastatic b.east cancer and to examine the relationship b.tween received dose intensity (RDI) and survival in patients with b.east cancer Nigeria. Methods: Our study was a retrospective analysis of.patients with b.east cancer recruited f.om 2012 and 2015. A total of.204 patients were initially entered into the study, 102 were lost to f.llow-up leaving 102 patients who were suitab.e f.r the survival analysis. Survival time was calculated f.om 106 days, the scheduled end of.chemotherapy. Results: The total average RDI f.r patients was 74%. Over the 204 patients that were reviewed, 144 (70.6%) had some reduction of.RDI. This sub.roup had an average RDI of.63%. On average, 79% of.the intended dose of.chemotherapy was given. The time to completion of.chemotherapy was 1.33 times that specif.ed b. the protocol. Dose delays an overall reduction was mainly attrib.ted to intolerab.lity and f.nancial constraints. Survival b. RDI showed a signif.cant decrease in survival rate f.r patients with RDI of.>49% (Hazard Ratio = 3.473, 95% CI 1.21 - 9.91, P = 0.020);RDI of.50% - 59% (Hazard Ratio = 3.916, 95% CI 1.01 - 15.18, P = 0.048);RDI of.60% - 69% (Hazard Ratio = 4.462, 95% CI 1.65 - 12.03, P = 0.003) compared with patients who received an RDI of.100%. Although associated with poorer prognosis, there were no signif.cant changes in the survival rate f.r patients with RDI of.70% - 79% (Hazard Ratio = 1.667, 95% CI 0.56 - 4.96, P = 0.359);RDI of.80% - 89% (Hazard Ratio = 1.620, 95% CI 0.47 - 5.53, P = 0.441);RDI 90% - 99% (Hazard Ratio = 1.590, 95% CI 0.53 - 4.73, P = 0.405) compared with patients who received an RDI of.100%. Conclusion: This study provides evidence that decreased RDI of.b.east cancer patients is strongly associated with decreased overall survival.
