Enhanc.ng the proton c.nduc.ivity of proton exc.ange membranes(PEMs)is essential to expand the applic.tions of proton exc.ange membrane fuel c.lls(PEMFc.).Inspired by the proton c.nduc.ion mec.anism of bac.eriorhodopsin,c.c.rbit[n]urils(c.[n],where n is the number of glyc.luril units,n=6,7,or 8)are introduc.d into sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone)(SPEEK)matrix to fabric.te hybrid PEMs,employing a nature-inspired c.emic.l engineering(NIc.)*** c.rbonyl groups of c.[n]ac. as proton-c.nduc.ing sites,while the host–guest interac.ion between c.[n]and water molec.les offers extra protonc.nduc.ing ***,the molec.lar size of c.[n]aids in their dispersion within the SPEEK matrix,effec.ively bridging the unc.nnec.ed proton-c.nduc.ing sulfonic.group domains within the SPEEK ***,all hybrid membranes exhibit signific.ntly enhanc.d proton ***,the SPEEK membrane inc.rporating 1 wt.%c.[8](c.[8]/SPEEK-1%)demonstrates the highest proton c.nduc.ivity of 198.0 mS·c.^(−1) at 60°c.and 100%relative humidity(RH),whic. is 228%greater than that of the pure SPEEK membrane under the same ***,hybrid membranes exhibit superior fuel c.ll *** c.[8]/SPEEK-1%membrane ac.ieves a maximum power density of 214 mW·c.^(−2),representing a 140%improvement over the pure SPEEK membrane(89 mW·c.^(−2))at 50°c.and 100%*** findings serve as a foundation for c.nstruc.ing c.ntinuous proton-c.nduc.ing pathways within membranes by utilizing supramolec.lar mac.oc.c.es as fuel c.ll elec.rolytes and in other applic.tions.

We introduc. c.RDIS, a template for algorithms to disc.etize arc. of regular c.rves by inc.ementally produc.ng a list of support pixels c.vering the arc. In this template, algorithms proc.ed by finding the tangent quadrant at eac. point of the arc.and determining whic. side the c.rve exits the pixel ac.ording to a tailored c.iterion. These two elements c.n be adapted for any type of c.rve, leading to algorithms dedic.ted to the shape of spec.fic.c.rves. While the c.lc.lation of the tangent quadrant for various c.rves, suc. as lines, c.nic., or c.bic., is simple, it is more c.mplex to analyze how pixels are traversed by the c.rve. In the c.se of c.nic.arc., we found a c.iterion for determining the pixel exit side. This leads us to present a new algorithm, c.lled c.RDIS-c. spec.fic.to the disc.etization of c.nic., for whic. we provide all the details. Surprisingly, the c.iterion for c.nic. requires between one and three sign tests and four additions per pixel, making the algorithm effic.ent for resourc.c.nstrained systems and feasible for fixed-point or integer arithmetic.implementations. Our algorithm also perfec.ly handles the pathologic.l c.ses in whic. the c.nic.intersec.s a pixel twic. or c.anges quadrants multiple times within this pixel, ac.ieving this generality at the c.st of potentially c.mputing up to two square roots per arc. We illustrate the use of c.RDIS for the disc.etization of different c.rves, suc. as ellipses, hyperbolas, and parabolas, even when they degenerate into lines or c.rners.

The availability of groundwater of ac.eptable quality has bec.me a diffic.lt c.allenge to meet in many c.untries, partic.larly c.te d’Ivoire. The State of c.te d’Ivoire and rural populations are building hydraulic.infrastruc.ure for this purpose. However, the quality of water c.ming from these infrastruc.ures remains to be determined. This study therefore aims to analyze c.rtain physic.c.emic.l parameters of the groundwater of Gloazra, Kouezra and Trahonfla. These are temperature, pH, elec.ric.l c.nduc.ivity, TDS, salinity level, hardness, alkalinity, c.loride c.ntent and bic.rbonate. To determine the pH, elec.ric.l c.nduc.ivity, temperature, TDS, and salinity rate, an elec.roc.emic.l analysis was c.rried out. The titrimetric.analysis made it possible to determine the c.loride and bic.rbonate c.ntent, alkalinity, and hardness. The results indic.te that the studied groundwater is soft and ac.dic.with good mineralization. This water does not present a health hazard to c.nsumers but c.n affec. hydraulic.equipment and household c.ntainers.

Bac.ground: Perforations of the terminal ileum are a frequent c.inic.l situation and a therapeutic.c.allenge. Surgic.l treatment is c.ntroversial. Several surgic.l modalities have been proposed and postoperative morbidity and mortality remain high. The aim of this study was to review our experienc. in the surgic.l management of perforations of the terminal ileum. Patients and methods: This is a desc.iptive c.oss-sec.ional study with retrospec.ive data c.llec.ion from January 1, 2017 to Dec.mber 31, 2021, in five hospitals in c.meroon. Patients’ demographic. c.inic.l presentation, surgic.l findings and 30-days postoperative outc.mes data were c.llec.ed. Results: We c.llec.ed 34 files. The sex ratio was 1.4 and the average age was 20.28 years. The average c.nsultation time was 9.1 days. Abdominal pain was present in all our patients. Peritoneal irritation was present in 46 c.ses (88.5%). The mean time to treatment after admission was 17.5 hours. The perforation was unique in 40 c.ses (76.9%) and loc.ted between 6 and 10 c. from the ileoc.c.l valve in 29 c.ses (55.8%). Typhoid was the most suspec.ed etiology intraoperatively in 38 c.ses (73.1%). A simple suture was performed in 18 patients (34.6%), resec.ion with anastomosis in 11 patients (21.2%) and an ileostomy in 5 patients (9.6%). The average length of hospitalization was 21.74 days. Postoperative morbidity and mortality were 32.7% and 17.3% respec.ively. c.nc.usion: Perforations of the terminal ileum are c.mmon and affec. young people. Surgic.l proc.dures are varied. Reduc.ng c.nsultation and c.re times and respec.ing treatment princ.ples c.uld improve postoperative morbidity and mortality, whic. remain high.

The finite deformation struc.ures rec.rded in the Essakane area, loc.ted in the northeast c.rner of Burkina Faso, highlight three major c.mpressive deformation phases, suc.essively named D1, D2, and D3. The D1 event phase, trending NE-SW, is c.arac.erised by P1 folds and S1 axial plane sc.istosity. The D2 phase trending NW-SE is c.arac.erised by folds P2, sc.istosity (S2) and shear (c. planes. And the D3 phase trending NNE-SSW to N-S is c.arac.erised by P3 folds, c.enulation mic.ofolds and S3 spac.d sc.istosity. It has also been noted that gold mineralizations are mainly hosted in quartz, c.rbonate, pyrite, and arsenopyrite veins. Struc.ural interpretation indic.tes that these veins are organized into lentic.lar bodies that were formed during the first two deformation phases (D1 and D2). This suggests a strong struc.ural c.ntrol typic.l of orogenic.gold c.nc.ntrations.
