In this study,perovskite-type La_(0.7)Ca_(0.3)Co_(0.3)Fe_(0.6)M_(0.1)O_(3-δ)(M=Cu,Zn)powders were synthesized using a scalable reverse co-precipitation method,presenting them as novel materials for oxygen transport *** comprehensive study covered various aspects including oxygen permeability,crystal structure,conductivity,morphology,CO_(2) tolerance,and long-term regenerative durability with a focus on phase structure and *** membrane La_(0.7)Ca_(0.3)Co_(0.3)Fe_(0.6)M_(0.1)O_(3-δ)exhibited high oxygen permeation fluxes,reaching up to 0.88 and 0.64 mL·min^(−1)·cm^(−2) under air/He and air/CO_(2) gradients at 1173 k,*** 1600 h of CO_(2) exposure,the perovskite structure remained intact,showcasing superior CO_(2) resistance.A combination of first principles simulations and experimental measurements was employed to deepen the understanding of Cu/Zn substitution effects on the structure,oxygen vacancy formation,and transport behavior of the *** findings underscore the potential of this highly CO_(2)-tolerant membrane for applications in high-temperature oxygen *** enhanced insights into the oxygen transport mechanism contribute to the advancement of next-generation membrane materials.

Petrology and Structural Characterization of Post-Neoproterozoic Dolerites from the kimberlite Fields in the kéniéba Region (Western Mali)

Post-Neoproterozoic dolerites from the kéniéba region (Western Mali) are often associated with kimberlites. The rarity of kimberlite outcrops led to the study of doleritic rocks, spatially associated with them. The petrographic and lithogeochemical study showed that the dolerites of the kéniéba kimberlitic fields are of tholeiitic nature and of the E-MORB (Enriched-Mid Ocean Ridge Basalt) type. This reflects an enrichment over time, compared to the Birimian dolerites of the volcano-sedimentary greenstone belt of Toumodi, in central C?te d’Ivoire. Furthermore, these dolerites are enriched in SiO2, TiO2, Zr and poor in Fe2O3, MgO. These dolerites would have formed in a late to post-orogenic intracontinental context during the breakup of Gondwana. Structurally, kéniéba dolerites are often associated with kimberlite pipes, fractures and large deep structures identified using aeromagnetic images. Taking into account the fact that kimberlites do not outcrop in the kéniéba region, the geochemical study coupled with the interpretation of aeromagnetic data proved to be very useful for the search for pipes.

An examination of predictive markers for successful sperm extraction procedures:a linear model and systematic review

The authors performed a comprehensive review of current literature to create a model comparing commonly evaluated variables in male factor infertility,for example,follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),testicular volume(TV),and testosterone(T),to better predict sperm retrieval rate(SRR).Twenty-nine studies were included,9 with data on conventional testicular sperm extraction(cTESE)for a total of 1227 patients and 20 studies including data on microdissection testicular sperm extraction(mTESE)for a total of 4760 patients.A weighted-means value of SRR,FSH,T,and TV was created,and a weighted linear regression was then used to describe associations among SRR,type of procedure,FSH,T,and *** this study,weighted-means values demonstrated mTESE to be superior to cTESE with an SRR of 51.9%vs 40.1%.Multiple weighted linear regressions were created to describe associations among SRR,procedure type,FSH,T,and *** models showed that for every 1.19 mIU ml^(−1)increase in FSH,there would be a significant decrease in SRR by 1.0%.Seeking to create a more clinically relevant model,FSH values were then divided into normal,moderate elevation,and significant elevation categories(FSH20 mIU ml^(−1),respectively).For an index patient undergoing cTESE,the retrieval rates would be 57.1%,44.3%,and 31.2%for values normal,moderately elevated,and significantly elevated,*** conclusion,in a large meta-analysis,mTESE was shown to be more successful than cTESE for sperm *** has an inverse relationship to SRR in retrieval techniques and can alone be predictive of cTESE SRR.

Estimation of the Carbon Sequestration Dynamics of Senegal’s Great Green Wall Based on Land Cover over the Past Three Decades

The severe drought observed in the Sahel during 1970s, 1980s and 1990s has deeply affected the population as well as the economies and the eco-systems of this climatic area. The GGW Initiative spearheaded by Africa Union in 2007 proposed to combat the land degradation and desertification by planting a wall of trees stretching from Dakar to Djibouti. A reforestation was then conducted in the Senegal’s GGW since 2006 as part as other areas in the Sahel. This paper aims to evaluate the carbon sequestration dynamics in the sites of the Senegal’s GGW over the last three decades. The method consists firstly of analyzing the evolution of land cover and land use dynamics based on ESA-CCI LC satellite data. There is an improvement of the surface areas of tree and shrub savanna of 11.40% (Tessekere), 8.25% (Syer) and 2.70% (Loughere-Thioly). The regreening of the different localities and a positive dynamic observed is explained by the return to normal rainfall and to reforestation actions, agroforestry practices, better management of natural resources undertaken. However, some non-reforested sites showed an opposite trend despite of the normal rainfall. Secondly, the results on land mapping are used as a proxy for the assessment of carbon stocks. The dynamic observed in vegetation cover since the beginning of the reforestation made it possible to sequester 5.8 million tons of carbon representing respectively 2.31% of African GGW. This gain in stored carbon is equivalent to 21.2 million tons of CO2 captured in the atmosphere. Through this study, it appears that carbon storage becomes significant 8 to 10 years after the start of reforestation. An urbanization without respect for the environmental factors could be a danger for the climate (case of Ballou).
