To harness the rich solar energy resources in Xinjiang Region of Northwest China,this study tries to address the issue of lack of downward surface shortwave radiation(DSSR)observations and the need to improve the accuracy of satellite retrieval and numerical simulation of DSSR under varied sky and meteorological conditions.(1)A two-layer aerosol model specific to Xinjiang was developed to capture the vertical distributions of aerosols based on multiple data sources including lidar,GPS sounding,ground meteorological observations,and profiles from the eCMWF reanalysis version 5(eRA5)*** results show that the eRA5/PBLH(planetary boundary layer height)and eRA5/ALH(aerosol layer height)could be used to establish the two-layer aerosol model and characterize the vertical distribution of aerosols in Xinjiang Region.(2)Using the Santa Barbara Discrete Atmospheric Radiative Transfer(SBDART)model,a localized inverse model of clear-sky DSSR was *** parameter adjustment and using the optimal combination of input parameters for DSSR simulation together with the two-layer aerosol model,the model-simulated DSSR(DSSRSBD)under clear-sky conditions improved significantly compared to the initial results,with all fitting indices greatly improved.(3)In addition,the study demonstrated that the impact of the two-layer aerosol model on DSSR was more pronounced under dust conditions than clear-sky conditions.(4)Using the localized clear-sky DSSR inversion model and its required parameters,simulations were also conducted to capture the spatiotemporal distribution of DSSR under clear-sky conditions in Xinjiang from 2017 to *** annual average DSSR_(SBD)under clear-sky conditions in Xinjiang during 2017–2019 was 606.78 W m^(-2),while DSSR from CeReS(DSSR_(CeR))under the same conditions was generally higher(703.95 W m^(-2)).(5)It is found that satellite remote sensing products experienced data loss in high-altitude snow areas,where numerical simulation technology could ser

Low-temperature chemistry in plasma-driven ammonia oxidative pyrolysis

Ammonia is gaining increasing attention as a green alternative fuel for achieving large-scale carbon emission reduction. Despite its potential technical prospects, the harsh ignition conditions and slow flame propagation speed of ammonia pose significant challenges to its application in engines. Non-equilibrium plasma has been identified as a promising method, but current research on plasma-enhanced ammonia combustion is limited and primarily focuses on ignition characteristics revealed by kinetic models. In this study, low-temperature and low-pressure chemistry in plasma-assisted ammonia oxidative pyrolysis is investigated by integrated studies of steady-state GC measurements and mathematical simulation. The detailed kinetic mechanism of NH3decomposition in plasma-driven Ar/NH3and Ar/NH3/O2mixtures has been developed. The numerical model has good agreements with the experimental measurements in NH3/O2consumption and N2/H2generation, which demonstrates the rationality of modelling. Based on the modelling results, species density profiles, path flux and sensitivity analysis for the key plasmaproduced species such as NH2, NH, H2, OH, H, O, O（1D）, O2（a1△g）, O2（b1∑g+）, Ar*, H-, Ar+, NH3+, O2-in the discharge and afterglow are analyzed in detail to illustrate the effectiveness of the active species on NH3excitation and decomposition at low temperature and relatively higher e/N values. The results revealed that NH2, NH, H as well as H2are primarily generated through the electron collision reactions e + NH3→ e + NH2+ H, e + NH3→ e + NH + H2and the excited-argon collision reaction Ar*+ NH3+ H → Ar + NH2+ 2H, which will then react with highly reactive oxidative species such as O2*, O*, O, OH, and O2to produce stable products of NOx and H2O. NH3→ NH is found a specific pathway for NH3consumption with plasma assistance, which further highlights the enhanced kinetic effects.

Remodeling Tumor Immune Microenvironment by Using Polymer-Lipid-Manganese Dioxide Nanoparticles with Radiation Therapy to Boost Immune Response of Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer

Despite substantial progress in the treatment of castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), including radiation therapy and immunotherapy alone or in combination, the response to treatment remains poor due to the hypoxic and immunosuppressive nature of the tumor microenvironment. herein, we exploited the bioreactivity of novel polymer–lipid manganese dioxide nanoparticles (PLMDs) to remodel the tumor immune microenvironment (TIMe) by increasing the local oxygen levels and extracellular pH and enhancing radiation-induced immunogenic cell death. This study demonstrated that PLMD treatment sensitized hypoxic human and murine CRPC cells to radiation, significantly increasing radiation-induced DNA double-strand breaks and ultimately cell death, which enhanced the secretion of damage-associated molecular patterns, attributable to the induction of autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum stress. Reoxygenation via PLMDs also polarized hypoxic murine RAW264.7 macrophages toward the M1 phenotype, enhancing tumor necrosis factor alpha release, and thus reducing the viability of murine CRPC TRAMP-C2 cells. In a syngeneic TRAMP-C2 tumor model, intravenous injection of PLMDs suppressed, while radiation alone enhanced recruitment of regulatory T cells and myeloid-derived suppressor cells. Pretreatment with PLMDs followed by radiation down-regulated programmed death-ligand 1 and promoted the infiltration of antitumor CD8+ T cells and M1 macrophages to tumor sites. Taken together, TIMe modulation by PLMDs plus radiation profoundly delayed tumor growth and prolonged median survival compared with radiation alone. These results suggest that PLMDs plus radiation is a promising treatment modality for improving therapeutic efficacy in radioresistant and immunosuppressive solid tumors.

Despite the promise of high flexibility and conformability of hydrogel ionic conductors,existing polymeric conductive hydrogels have long suffered from compromises in mechanical,electrical,and cryoadaptive properties due to monotonous functional improvement strategies,leading to lingering ***,we propose an all-in-one strategy for the preparation of poly(acrylic acid)/cellulose(PAA/Cel)hydrogel ionic conductors in a facile yet effective manner combining acrylic acid and salt-dissolved cellulose,in which abundant zinc ions simultaneously form strong coordination interactions with the two polymers,while free solute salts contribute to ionic conductivity and bind water molecules to prevent ***,the developed PAA/Cel hydrogel simultaneously achieved excellent mechanical,conductive,and cryogenically adaptive properties,with performances of 42.5 MPa for compressive strength,1.6 MPa for tensile strength,896.9%for stretchability,9.2 MJ m^(−3)for toughness,59.5 kJ m^(−2)for fracture energy,and 13.9 and 6.2 mS cm^(−1)for ionic conductivity at 25 and−70°C,*** by these features,the resultant hydrogel ionic conductor is further demonstrated to be assembled as a self-powered electronic skin(e-skin)with high signal-to-noise ratio for use in monitoring movement and physiological signals regardless of cold temperatures,with hinting that could go beyond high-performance hydrogel ionic conductors.

Dendritic cell(DC)-targeted delivery of mRNA is a prominent method to boost the efficacy of mRNA tumor *** targeting ligands are often modified on nanocarriers by polyethylene glycol(PeG)linker in mRNA delivery *** the PeG linker length influences the targeting delivery efficiency of mRNA nanocarrier in vivo remains ***,we designed and constructed DC-targeted mRNA delivery systems modified by mannose via different PeG linker lengths(100/400/1000/2000)(MPn-LPX).The top candidate MP_(400)-LPX(the linker was PeG400)showed the optimal mRNA expression and antigen presentation owing to the highly efficient uptake by ***,MP_(400)-LPX could better inhibited tumor growth and extended survival in the e.G7-OVA lymphoma and TC-1 cervical tumor mouse ***,these results demonstrated that PeG400 was the optimal linker for the PeGylated DC-targeted mRNA *** findings provided a new platform for the rational design of targeted mRNA nanovaccines with shorter-length PeG.

Tuning heterogeneous microstructures to enhance mechanical properties of nano-TiN particle reinforced Haynes 230 composites by laser powder bed fusion

Laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)is considered to be one of the most promising additive manufacturing technologies for producing components with geometries and high geometrical precision that are unattainable by traditional *** superalloy exhibits exceptional mechanical and high-temperature performances,rendering it a prime candidate for advanced aero-engine *** the high demand for LPBF-manufactured superalloys,the superalloy is one of the materials manufactured difficultly by LPBF due to their large laser absorptivity fluctuation,poor molten pool stability and sharp temperature ***,superalloys are characterized by severe pores,undesirable coarse columnar grains and poor mechanical *** this work,the effect of nano-TiN particles on defects,molten pool characteristics and microstructure and performance of the composites were *** 4.5 wt%TiN/Haynes230 samples exhibited exceptional nanohardness and elastic modulus with maximum values reaching 5.53 GPa and 240.03 GPa,*** superior mechanical properties were attributed to the combined effects of spatter and gas pore inhibition,grain refinement and duplex nanophases ***,the stability of molten pool was enhanced,and spatter was effectively suppressed by adding nano-TiN particles,while grain refinement and columnar to equiaxed transitions were ***,the matrix exhibited a high dislocation density due to a significant hindrance of dislocation movement caused by massive nano-phases(e.g.,TiN and M_(23)C_(6)),resulting in the formation of extensive dislocation tangles and *** work offers novel insights into the role of nanoparticles reinforced superalloy composites by LPBF.
